About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Data Analyst to join the team and help expand the value we deliver across Plum.

You will be part of a well established Product Analytics team, consisting of Data Analysts embedded across Product, Marketing and Operations, supporting the companies decision making through data.

What will you do

  • Become domain expert across an area at Plum, establishing yourself as the point of contact for analytical support.
  • Help the teams you work with identify the opportunities (new features, products, bugs etc) they should focus on, by linking these to impact on the metrics of interest.
  • Propose and define success KPIs and guide the teams towards data-driven decision making around these.

  • Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to work on a modern Data platform (BigQuery, Looker, dbt), surrounded by an eclectic team of great Data professionals covering areas such as Product Analytics, Data Science and Data & Analytics Engineering.

The Role

As a Senior FP&A Analyst you will be part of our Finance Team and work directly with the FP&A Lead and Finance Business Partner, as well as working closely with the Accounting Function and CFO, to make sure Plum is in good financial health and well prepared for scale! 

Typical areas of focus will include: month end management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business case modeling. The role will fit someone who is hands on, analytical and curious about how to build a business sustainably. 

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the financial modeling and budgeting process of Plum
  • Support the partnership team and wider business to evaluate the economics and pricing for potential partnerships and ultimately inform business decisions;
  • Lead the month end process, including investor and partner reporting, quarterly board reporting and analyzing key risks and opportunities;
  • Build and maintain departmental cost budgets, analyze performance vs budget; 
  • Partner with heads of departments on capacity planning and to identify optimal cost structures across the P&L;
  • Support on periodic updating of the group’s ICARAs, recovery and wind-down plans;
  • Work with the data team to improve the accuracy of our forecasting; and
  • Embrace automation across all processes in FP&A.

What We Look For

  • You have an ACA/ CIMA/ CFA qualification or equivalent, with strong knowledge of accounting and finance fundamentals
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in FP&A or commercial finance
  • You have a strong analytical background, with a degree in Maths, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics and/or Data
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling experience and are confident in setting up models and processes from scratch
  • You have great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • You are hands on, driven and proactive; you take ownership of your work and can collaborate as a team player
  • Experience working with an accounting software, such as Xero, is a plus
  • Experience working in fintech is a plus
  • Experience with Looker is a plus
  • Experience analyzing data and working with Data Teams is a plus

Job Description

  • Use your sector knowledge and industry relationships to proactively identify, scope, and drive new opportunities for Plum and our customers in Europe
  • To deepen our infrastructure in the EU: Identify the most appropriate way to grow Plum in key European markets such as France. If we need licences, you will need to manage the process end-to-end: understand the regulations, prepare, coordinate and submit the application, and get the regulatory buy-in as well as support the fulfilment of any other local requirements for the licence applications.
  • To build new relationships with relevant financial institutions in France: Take ownership of maintaining and improving existing relationships with banks and other financial institutions. You will lead commercial and relationship discussions with partners to ensure we offer the most sustainable and competitive service.
  • Manage an end-to-end process: find the right potential banking partners, pitch Plum as a client, negotiate the commercial agreements and contracts, explain our operation and compliance processes and operationalise the partnership.
  • Collaborate across teams (finance, operations, product, compliance etc.) to deliver and build better products and experiences for our customers. Your contribution will be mainly from the partnerships, regulatory and operational banking partnerships point of view.
  • Lead complex, strategic projects independently, making high-impact decisions that align with organisational goals.
  • Effectively balance short-term and long-term priorities, managing multiple projects and conflicting priorities.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Have experience working in a similar role at a fintech in France
    • Ideally you have knowledge in launching wealth products in France and other EU countries

The Role

We are looking for a Fincrime Product Manager to join Plum in the Athens office and lead our Financial Crime Prevention squad. You’ll be expected to deeply understand the landscape of financial crime, the regulatory challenges, and the needs of our users to ensure their money is safe while they build their wealth.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our transaction monitoring, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-fraud, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. This position is vital to protecting our users and ensuring Plum adheres to regulatory standards across our markets. You will be a crucial part of the Product team, working closely with data, engineering, design, operations and compliance teams.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Fincrime Squad at Plum, driving the development and implementation of advanced fraud prevention, AML, SCA, and KYC strategies.
  • Optimise transaction monitoring and KYC processes to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and minimise risk.
  • Manage the P&L related to financial crime prevention, collaborating with data and compliance teams to reduce fraud and enhance customer trust.
  • Identify new risks and opportunities, launch experiments, and iterate on solutions to stay ahead of emerging financial crime threats.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer behaviour and the competitive landscape to enhance our security features and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drive the planning process and roadmap prioritisation for your team, aligning with Plum’s overall OKRs.
  • Work closely with your Group PM and other PMs to define and construct a long-term strategy for fraud prevention and compliance across Plum’s products.

Ideally, you are someone who:

  • Has proven experience building and managing financial crime prevention systems in the UK and/or Europe, particularly within a fast-growing fintech or financial institution.
  • Has hands-on experience with transaction monitoring, AML, anti-fraud measures, SCA, and KYC processes.
  • Is able to manage a team of engineers, speak their language, and communicate compliance needs in a constructive & timely way.
  • Is fluent with data, you can ground your thinking in analysis, and constantly drive actionable insights from numbers.
  • Can think critically and challenge the status quo, possessing the resilience to drive improvements in our anti-fraud and compliance measures.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven CASS Operations Manager with a strong background in reconciliation processes and CASS regulations to oversee and manage reconciliations across our different investment products. As the subject matter expert, you will take the lead in implementing and developing Plum’s CASS system and investment operations reconciliations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a core component of our investment product strategy and elevate our systems to the next level.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day CASS and investment operations reconciliations, including ISA and SIPP products.
  • Build and refine internal processes and systems to ensure compliance with CASS requirements for handling client money, segregation, and reconciliation.
  • Identify discrepancies and issues in reconciliations, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Establish a golden source for client asset position and client money valuation data.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on reconciliation activities, including any discrepancies, and compliance status to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Continuously review and improve reconciliation processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of reconciliation activities and maintain records for audit purposes. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.
  • Monitor and assess risks related to client assets and reconciliation processes, implementing controls to mitigate potential issues.
  • Work with the Operations teams to define tooling and processes for reconciliations and data breaks and support their day-to-day management and resolution.
  • Work closely with the Product team and collaborate on building products that solve user problems that are compliant with CASS regulations and reconciliation processes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all issues, incidents and gaps which may arise related to CASS and reconciliations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers involved in the reconciliation process. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of third-party performance.
  • Strengthen our CASS governance and other relevant frameworks and liaise with Compliance in relation to CASS regulatory compliance.

What We Look For:

  • Proven experience of 3+ years in a reconciliation or similar role, with a focus on CASS products.
  • In-depth knowledge of CASS regulations, particularly CASS 6 and 7.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable with data models and data analysis (SQL knowledge is a plus). 
  • Previous experience with reconciliation softwares.

The Role

As the Head of CRM at Plum, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth from our customer base through strategic customer communications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Plum’s CRM strategy aligned with company goals to drive revenue growth from the Plum customer base
  • Lead the creation of targeted marketing campaigns aimed at cross-selling subscription tiers and additional products or services
  • Utilise data-driven insights to segment the customer base and personalise marketing communications for maximum impact
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to identify opportunities for product-led growth and develop marketing strategies to support new feature launches or enhancements
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, including campaign ideation, creative development, channel selection, and performance tracking
  • Continuously monitor and analyse key performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for optimization
  • Work closely with the customer success team to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points, and tailor marketing initiatives accordingly
  • Implement strategies to increase customer engagement and loyalty, ultimately reducing churn and increasing customer lifetime value
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in customer marketing, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience working in CRM 
  • 3+ years successfully leading a CRM/Customer Marketing team, preferably within the fintech or SaaS industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to different audience segments
  • Willing to be hands-on to deliver the strategy, alongside their team

The Role 

We’re looking for a user-focused Senior Android Engineer to join our engineering team. You'll be building Plum on Android from its early days, giving our current and prospective customers a more intimate way to interact with their money.

Our Engineering Approach

We value good engineering principles, imagination, quirkiness and healthy curiosity. We take a conservative approach to using external frameworks and we aspire to write simple, well-tested code, delivered in rapid iterations.

How We Work

We work in "squads" – a more startup-appropriate name for saying small, cross-functional teams. Each squad has a mission and a set of KPIs to monitor and improve. As an engineer you'll be working in a squad, but you can also reach out to and work with anyone in the company. You will also be part of a Mobile engineering team, consisting of Mobile Product Engineers who share the same vision and passion of building an exceptional mobile team that will help people be financially better off.

Please note we are following a hybrid work model, in which we visit our office 2 times per week.#LI-Hybrid

Fist-bumps ???? if you have

  • Fluency in Kotlin programming language
  • Published at least one original Android app
  • Extensive experience with DI and Android architecture components
  • Strong understanding of Git strategies, continuous integration setup, and automation
  • Solid experience with testing (unit, integration, snapshots)
  • An eye for design that you can transform into Material Design!
  • Jetpack compose experience
  • You’re not afraid to take ownership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers.
  • You’re eager to identify, propose and implement improvements
  • Solid experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
