The Role

This is a critical role that forms the backbone of Plum’s ISA and SIPP products. In this position, you will be responsible for processing transfers, monitoring buy and sell orders, communicating with users and liaising with other ISA and SIPP providers. This role is ideal for someone who is willing to learn, can figure out things and is passionate about improving processes.

Ideally You Will:

  • Manage the ISA and SIPP transfers process and find new ways of reducing transfer times
  • Perform orders and transfer reconciliations, investigate issues and help resolve exceptions
  • Respond to ad hoc queries from customers and requests from other pension providers
  • Help customers find lost pensions and initiate the transfer process
  • Follow up with providers to proactively find ways to speed up transfers
  • Build a knowledge base by documenting processes and relevant information
  • Suggest product and process improvements to help make day to day operations more efficient
  • Learn and complete set Operational Oversight control tasks in relation to Client Asset protection (CASS)

Ideally You:

  • Are a recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking or Economics
  • Have some working experience in a fintech or financial institution (this will be considered a plus)
  • Are willing to learn and have a can do attitude
  • Enjoy coming up with ideas and ways to improve processes
  • Are customer-focussed and able to communicate complex topics in a simple and concise manner
  • Are analytical and excited about working with a business that moves fast

  • You have experience working on product design at scale, with an international footprint especially in the European market

Ideally You Will

Strategic

  • Lead the strategic quarterly, 6 months and annual planning for the leadership team. Ensure that the OKRs flow through the organisation and ensure there is a framework for monitoring and feeding back on OKR performance. 
  • Create a competitor monitoring framework and bring key findings to the organisation. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing strategic counsel and support on various business matters, assisting on keeping focus, having a deep understanding of the CEO's vision and priorities.

Organisational

  • Drive the weekly leadership meeting and the follow up with the leadership team on behalf of the CEO. 
  • Help identify and resolve organisational challenges and bottlenecks, working to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
  • At times represent the CEO in meetings on his behalf.
  • Ensure that the CEO is prepared for various external and internal meetings by preparing the relevant materials and data.
  • Own the all hands meeting monthly.

Special projects

  • Work on a wide range of special projects both external and internal that the CEO and the company determine will be impactful.
  • Drive these projects by collaborating with various departments on the execution and delivery.
  • Be involved in the company’s fundraising activities.

The role

We are looking for aSenior Product Manager to join Plum in the London office and lead the Subscriptions squad. You’ll be expected to deeply understand how users think about money, the challenges they face when it comes to thinking about wealth and find elegant solutions to complex problems.

Plum’s subscriptions are paid plans that users subscribe to in order to get closer to their wealth goals - these plans unlock various features such as access to certain products, better rates and powerful automations that take the effort out of wealth building. In this role, you will be responsible for the full subscriber lifecycle: awareness, discovery, conversion, onboarding, engagement and retention. This is a crucial revenue function at Plum and the team is a key part of the Growth, Engagement & Monetization team. 

In this role you will:

  • Firsthand product manage the subscriptions squad at Plum
  • Consistently strive for excellence to optimize the subscriptions funnels to minimize churn, maximize conversion and drive increased cross-sell/discovery of Plum’s offerings for users. 
  • Manage the subscriptions P&L, which includes collaborating with data & marketing teams to drive retention, marketing & churn reduction strategies. 
  • Identify new growth opportunities, launch experiments and iterate,
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers needs and the competitive landscape to ensure subscriptions drive step-change value for our users. 
  • Drive the planning process and roadmap prioritisation for your team to drive KPIs that ultimately move Plum’s OKRs
  • Work closely with your Group PM and other PMs to define and construct a long term product strategy for our saving and investing products.

Ideally you are someone who:

  • Has proven experience building mobile consumer product/s across UK and/or Europe and ideally, worked in the subscriptions domain at a fast growing consumer scale-up 
  • Has managed P&Ls before and led commercial thinking in the domain 
  • Are able to manage a team of engineers, speak their language and are able to communicate business needs in a constructive & timely way
  • Is comfortable with data, can ground your thinking in analysis, can identify key metrics and their drivers and constantly drive actionable insights from numbers. 
  • Can think critically and doesn’t settle for mediocrity, including possessing the resilience to challenge the status quo to make things better

The Role

As an Engineering Lead at Payments, you will lead an agile team of engineers on engineering practices, processes, and continuous improvement.

????The Payments squad is one of the most crucial squads of the app.
The team is responsible for the money pockets of the app but also making all money movements happen in plum, having impact across all of our users, but also fuelling our investment products.

Our Squads are mission driven and include Product Managers, Designers, Backend and Mobile engineers, aiming to develop and maintain products, services and tools towards an unforgettable user experience, as well as aiding any related operations from Plum’s side. Your key responsibilities ????

  • Lead the team in delivering results aligned with company targets and support the systems they build.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, coaching engineers and managing their career development.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to drive technical excellence.
  • Oversee architectural design, code reviews, and establish Agile processes.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of components in the Plum stack.
  • Stay updated on tech trends to mentor the engineering community.
  • Focus on team productivity and fulfilment while championing positive user impact and improving engineering standards.

The Team and the Role

We are looking for a pro-active, highly motivated and ambitious individual who will hold the role of Regulatory Compliance Officer to expand our Compliance team. You will assist in the enhancement of compliance culture and support our team’s mission to act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies. You will work closely with the team on various compliance activities, ensuring regulatory requirements are implemented by cooperating closely with teams within the company.

What you will do:

  • Develop and assist in the implementation of compliance policies and procedures by engaging in drafting and/or updating them to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations
  • Conduct checks, risk assessments and assist in the production of compliance reports, in accordance with our Compliance Monitoring Programme to ensure regular reviews and assessments
  • Execute checks in connection with Consumer Duty and support the build-out of the firm’s Consumer Duty framework
  • Review marketing, advertising and press material to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and monitor the implementation of the annual compliance plan, and deal with internal ad-hoc compliance requests to ensure that internal processes and policies are applied
  • Investigate from compliance and financial crime perspective, any SARs escalations, complaints, incidents, breach of data laws, fraud-related requests and any other compliance or financial crime related request received by the Compliance Team, for review and input
  • Prepare compliance reports addressed to the regulators to support the Compliance Team in their role as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies
  • Compile and prepare compliance and financial crime regulatory filings and respond to requests from  our partners.
  • Prepare compliance training addressed to the employees of the company
  • Maintain the Compliance Team’s files, cases and issues, achieve deadlines and document actions needed/requested
  • Share knowledge and experience with peers through team meetings, presentations and collaboration sessions
  • Work cooperatively with other teams such as the Products’ Team, Customer Service, Fraud Team, Finance Team, Data Team, Risk Management Team, Partnerships’ Team and Marketing Team
  • Monitor regulatory changes, amendments, trends or any other developments that may impact our operations and update internal records accordingly

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, economics, business, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree in Law/European Banking/Payments Regulation, Risk Management or in related fields will be considered as strong plus
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a compliance-related role within the financial services industry. Relevant sectors include: Payments, Banking, Investment Services
  • Knowledge of FCA and EU compliance and AML/TF regulation, including GDPR and investment services regulation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes
  • Professional certification in compliance (such as CISI) will be considered an advantage
