Onit is looking for two motivated, intelligent and driven Sales Development Representatives. SDRs play a crucial role in our success by driving the top of the sales funnel.  Primarily through outbound outreach, you will reveal new business opportunities by interacting with prospective clients across many industries.  You will work closely with field account executives, sales engineers, and others on the extended sales and marketing teams.

Onit's SDRs receive outstanding training, support, and mentoring from proven SDR leaders, dedicated SMEs, and an impressive broader team of sales and marketing practitioners.  With this enablement and encouragement, our SDRs often move into sales roles that involve closing.  But, the SDR position itself is central to Onit’s success, so first things first.  New opportunities will emerge after SDRs prove themselves in this crucial role.

Job Location:   Remote / Work from home / Or from our offices in Houston, Austin, the Bay Area or NYC

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify targets prospects, then perform high-quality outreach
  • Qualify prospects with crisp, confident, and articulate sales conversations
  • Manage the entire pre-sales cycle, from research to outreach to first meeting
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of outbound email and phone calls
  • Maintain engagement with prospects using creative follow-up communication
  • Think critically about data/patterns and recommend new, scalable outreach strategies
  • Use our sales stack to optimize your outreach (Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, and Sales Navigator)
  • Meet or exceed ambitious goals for setting discovery calls and demos

About You

  • 1+ years of professional work experience, ideally customer-facing and involving selling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  This is a must!
  • Empathy, integrity, and genuine curiosity about people.  You are an outstanding listener.
  • Storytelling orientation.  Regardless of context - you like telling people about things.
  • You adapt and thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.  You think on your feet.

Experience in a B2B enterprise software environment is a plus, but by no means required. A college degree is highly desired because it demonstrates you can set an ambitious goal and achieve it.

Additional Information

The work schedule will be 40 hours/week divided according to our opening hours which are Monday to Friday from 7am to 8pm, Saturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 8am to 5pm. We ask that our agents be available during these hours.

Qualifications

Summary:

The Regional Sales Representative (RSR) is a consultative sales role responsible for working with the end users and all levels of the Distributor network to pull through profitable business with targeted accounts. The RSR is responsible for territory management, identifying and qualifying customer’s needs, developing new sales opportunities, and optimizing existing accounts to increase product market share and new product sales. Reports to Regional Sales Manager.

 

Core Responsibilities:

* Responsible for total sales of assigned product segment and sku’s within a defined territory. 

  • Release Agents: DiamondKote and Crystal 
  • Meet or exceed sales plan for the defined territory for the sales period.  

* Distribution Partners (regional and branch locations): 

  • Strategy – Develop and document a strategic vision to partner with “80” distributor locations to organically grow revenue with them within the assigned territory 
  • Execution – Provide appropriate education, engage in ride alongs, complete business reviews, exhibit at open houses, develop co-op marketing programs in tandem with Marketing to drive top of mind behavior at the distributor.   

*End Users: 

  • Strategy – Develop and document a strategic vision to grow with end users within their assigned territory. 
  • Execution – Product trials execution, Identify product conversion opportunities, engage in/coordinate product trials, and negotiate commercial terms as necessary.   

*Administrative 

  • Reporting – Communicate as required within the business all necessary information from financial results to strategic intent within the assigned territory. 
  • SalesForce.com (SFDC) – Utilize the system for all areas of documentation required within the region.  Some examples but not limited to:  
  1. Funnel/Pipeline Management: Foster all leads and opportunities through SFDC to meet all funnel goals, overdrive when possible and ensure that all funnel opportunities are kept current. 
  2. Contract Management: Execute all contractual process requirements and document within SFDC to ensure compliance with all approval requirements. 
  3. SPA: Enter in all required “Special Prices Approvals” in a timely fashion to ensure proper evaluation and approval of all potential SPAs.   
  4. CBI: Document all opened CBI opportunities and provide information as required from product management and R&D to help drive new product development opportunities.     
  5. Sales Campaigns: Enter in all data required for sales campaigns as required by the management team or campaign leaders.   
  6. Other: Any additional requests, reports, or details required by the sales management team.   

* Customer Back Innovation (CBI): Make calls, direct questions as appropriate with customers, enter the required number of opportunities and ensure that any potential CBI opportunity is evaluated properly within the ITWPB business.   

* Coordinate and communicate as necessary on open orders, shipping, accounts receivable, etc… to ensure complete account management always.  

* Attend business meetings, trade shows or other required industry/business events as required.   

* Execute any ad-hoc or newly introduced projects, plans, campaigns or initiatives the

* Comply with timelines for all Workday activities, required trainings and any additional necessary requirements such as Dayforce vacation tracking. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • B.S Chemical Engineering, Mechanical preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) to ten (10) years’ experience in sales in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook. Strong written, verbal and collaborative communication skills. 
  • Experienced in conducting effective and professional sales/product training via in person or virtual (Webinar), to groups and various media forums. 
  • Experience in successful sales strategy formulation and execution. 
  • Proven experience in meeting sales goals/quotas and ability to prospect and close sales to new and existing customers. 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and experienced in gathering market intelligence and conducting competitive analysis. 
  • Business classes/ seminars including organization and time management, Business Administration and various sales helpful. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage priorities and work independently as well as on a team. 
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

      Job Description

      You will sell into B2C and B2B companies via email and phone. You will qualify and handle inbound leads, make outbound sales calls, and develop a robust funnel of qualified opportunities that an Outside Sales Rep will ultimately close. You will be expected to cultivate your own leads in addition to receiving leads through inbound marketing channels. 

      You will have a demonstrated track record of achieving a sales quota. Using Hubspot and other tools, you will create and execute target campaigns to connect with prospects and qualify opportunities. You will collaborate with the broader sales and marketing team and present a consistent brand voice to prospects.

      Qualifications

       

      • Making approx. 40 calls per day
      • Positioning Guidance quickly and effectively while staying on-brand
      • Creating lead generation and outbound call strategies using LinkedIn and other Guidance technologies
      • Overcoming objections and making contact with decision makers
      • Consistently meeting or exceeding weekly prospecting targets for calls, emails, meetings, and opportunities
      • Booking meetings for Outside Sales Reps
      • Collaborating with our partner network to create joint outreach campaigns, event follow up, etc.
      • Collaborating with marketing and strategy departments to create content marketing campaigns that stimulate interest, book meetings with prospects and grow pipeline
      • Using HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools to manage workflow
      • Maintaining a strong knowledge of Guidance's service offerings, value proposition, technology suite, partner network, ideal customer profile and competitive landscape
      • Managing relationships with third-party companies for list building, data cleansing and other related services
      • Continuously add/update new prospects within HubSpot to grow Guidance’s database and maintain accurate records
      • Following up on leads generated by marketing campaigns, trade shows and other methods to qualify and pursue new sales opportunities

      You Must Have

      • Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
      • Skilled at overcoming objections and getting people to talk
      • Ability to get past blockers and speak with decision makers
      • Experience in services or software industries (enterprise or SaaS software desired, eCommerce experience preferred)
      • Ability to sell complex services, consultatively
      • Motivated by kudos, hitting targets, making money and personal development
      • In-depth experience with CRM and marketing automation software, preferably HubSpot
      • Excellent communication and listening skills
      • Prior training in and usage of one or more sales methodologies (Predictable Revenue, SPIN, TAS, Solution Selling, Conceptual Selling, Customer Centric, Challenger Sales, etc.)
      • Polished written/verbal business communication skills
      • Excellent presentation skills
      • Tech savvy with ability to use multiple online tools simultaneously
      • Highly organized, time management skills
