About the Software Developer Position 

Our product team is looking for a hands-on Software Developer to contribute to our technology stack. As a global grassroots organisation, our sites and platforms are multilingual and the content is generally maintained by staff outside the Product Team. You’ll be developing solutions and tools for organizers on the ground, digital campaigners and local groups and affiliates.  To be successful you’ll need to combine and integrate tools, get data where it needs to be and create workflows that meet users where they are - not force them to adapt to the software.

The Storefront Team at Recharge is responsible for storefront widgets and backend services. These inject Recharge features; Subscriptions, Bundles, and Loyalty benefits into our merchant’s checkout experience. What you’ll do

• Build high-impact, high-performance, high-scale products

• Understand roadmap priorities and write solid code - first launch something useful, and as the code progresses ensure scalability, testability, supportability, and maintainability

• Puzzle solving and debugging issues across multiple levels of the stack

• Perform thorough code reviews and provide useful feedback

• Lean in as needed when duty call

Experience / Education / Qualifications

• Typically, 5+ years of relevant full stack development experience across back-end such as Python, Nodejs, and front-end experience including JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

• Familiarity with micro-service architecture

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or other STEM-related field or equivalent work experience

• Demonstrable cloud computing experience

• Prior e-commerce experience preferred
