The Equus internal network infrastructure supports software development and testing processes for in-house employees working in offices like Denver, Dallas, Manila, London and Lisbon as well as many remote employees across the US.

We are considering qualified candidates who can work in our Lakewood, Colorado Headquarters office.

In this position, you will get to know everyone in the company. Teamwork and flexibility are hallmarks of this position; We have a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike. You will need to prioritize activities coming in and make sure the highest priorities are accomplished first. Responsibilities for this position

  • Effectively coordinate tasks with clients, client account executives, business analysts and software developers in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change by the day
  • Efficiently manage the help desk queue of internal customers, effectively managing and prioritizing the queue
  • Work with IT staff to manage the corporate network, make recommendations for improvements, and participate in the implementation of small and large internal projects
  • Assist with configuring internal servers and applications to support software development, testing, documentation, and administration
  • Take ownership of on-boarding procedures and follow documented setup processes for new staff
  • Manage software, licensing, and hardware inventory
  • Review and update Help Desk documentation as assigned
  • Manage backup systems
  • Monitor internal network to proactively ensure system up-time
  • Always look for ways to automate, accelerate, make more efficient and secure, and otherwise improve IT operations

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-4 years’ experience with IT network, workstation and server operations in a Microsoft-based environment.
  • Experience working with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2019.
  • Experience managing a help desk queue or working from a help desk queue.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must have a passion for solving problems, delivering quality work, and finding a way to improve.
  • Must know how to prioritize work and ask for assistance when needed.
  • Must be able to follow detailed documentation and to create your own.
  • Confluence and Jira experience a plus.

The Equus Global Mobility Platform encompasses the Tax and Compliance Engines to support all types of mobility, including remote work, business travel, one-way relocation, commuters, project work and the traditional long- and short-term assignments. The Tax Engine powers cost estimates and compensation calculations; and the Compliance Engine assesses income tax and social security obligations using double tax treaties and social security agreements. 

As an Analyst within our Tax Products team, you will drive the accuracy, efficiency, and innovation of our Tax and Compliance Engines. You will deliver updates to 200+ supported tax authorities within an Agile framework and provide expert guidance on complex tax matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Engine Excellence: Contribute to continuous enhancement and maintenance of the Tax and Compliance Engine for accurate tax calculations and compliance evaluations. 
  • Solution Design and Delivery: Utilize in-depth tax knowledge to design and innovate solutions that address the complexities of global mobility. Translate tax insights and develop practical, value-adding features for the Tax and Compliance Engine, aligning with the latest industry practices and global mobility trends. 
  • Collaborative Solution Delivery: Work closely with tax researchers, analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, devise tailored solutions, and deliver of value-added features. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous software testing to identify and rectify bugs, ensuring reliability and accuracy of tax calculation across Excel and our software products. 
  • Cost Communication: Estimate and communicate costs associated with tax-related tasks to the Product Owner, establishing realistic delivery timelines. 
  • Documentation and Support: Document, demonstrate, and provide support for tax features to internal and external users of the Tax and Compliance Engine, ensuring smooth adoption and usage. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor, measure, and enhance processes and team performance, driving efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Innovation: Participate in Innovation Day sessions, presenting innovative solutions that contribute to company-wide growth and advancement. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • CPA/ EA certification
  • Additional certifications relevant to expatriate tax management, international tax, or global mobility tax issues are advantageous. 

REQUIREMENTS 

ESSENTIAL 

  • Experience: Proven global expatriate tax experience with 4+ years in Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm
  • Tax Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in U.S. employment taxes and expatriate taxation including tax planning and compliance for employees inbounding to/outbound from the U.S. Good understanding of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations, double tax treaties, and social security agreements relevant to global mobility. 
  • MS Excel Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, adept at utilizing formulas for problem-solving and data analysis. 
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical abilities to interpret complex tax-related data and propose innovative solutions. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in tax calculations. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills to convey complex tax concepts and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. 
  • Database Proficiency: Understanding of database concepts, preferably experience in MS Access or SQL.

  • Develop multiple executive Salesforce dashboards to provide insights at-a-glance among accounts, opportunities and revenue.
  • Integrate lead management between HubSpot and Salesforce to increase sales opportunities.

As an Integration Specialist at Equus Software, you will play a crucial role in integrating our software products with various external systems and third-party applications.
