About the Role

As the Demand Generation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Shipwell’s growth by creating and executing innovative marketing strategies that generate leads, engage prospects, and nurture existing customers. This role is a unique opportunity to manage end-to-end campaigns across multiple channels while collaborating closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and maximize results. You will own the full demand generation funnel, from attracting top-of-funnel awareness to driving bottom-of-funnel conversions, leveraging tools like HubSpot, 6Sense, and advanced analytics.

This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution. You'll develop and execute high-impact campaigns, optimize performance through data analysis, and experiment with new approaches to connect with our target audience. What you’ll do when you get here:

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Plan, execute, and optimize integrated demand generation campaigns across digital, email, social media, and events to drive pipeline and revenue growth
  • Develop and implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies to target key industries and accounts with highly personalized campaigns that align with sales objectives
  • Own paid search, paid social, and display advertising strategy and execution, ensuring efficient spend and ROI
  • Manage organic social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement to drive brand awareness and audience growth
  • Oversee email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, A/B testing, and nurture workflows

Channel & Program Ownership

  • Manage database growth and segmentation strategies to maintain a high-quality lead database and drive conversions across the funnel
  • Implement and optimize lead scoring models to prioritize and qualify leads for sales
  • Plan and execute online and in-person events, including webinars, trade shows, partner events, and customer events, to engage prospects, nurture existing relationships, and accelerate deals
  • Collaborate on partner marketing initiatives, driving co-marketing campaigns that amplify shared goals

Content & Product Marketing

  • Develop compelling copy for campaigns, emails, ads, landing pages, and other marketing assets
  • Partner with product, sales and customer success to align messaging and campaigns with product launches and customer needs

Technology, Data & Reporting

  • Own the management and optimization of marketing tools, including HubSpot and 6Sense, to execute campaigns and ensure accurate tracking
  • Analyze campaign performance and report on KPIs such as pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and ROI, providing actionable insights to improve performance

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in B2B marketing organizations)
  • 5+ years of experience in demand generation or digital marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or technology
  • Proven track record of planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and tactics, including tools like 6Sense or Demandbase
  • Hands-on experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Google Ads, and social media platforms
  • Strong understanding of lead management, scoring, and funnel optimization best practices
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft persuasive and engaging content for multiple channels
  • Proficiency in social media strategy and management for B2B audiences, including experience in writing, scheduling, and engaging on channels like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Facebook
  • Proficiency in analyzing campaign data and making data-driven decisions using tools like Google Analytics or Tableau
  • Event planning experience, both virtual and in-person, is a plus
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams (Product, Sales, Customer Success) and external partners to ensure content alignment with broader company goals and strategies

The Salary Range for this role is between $180,000 to $220,000/year with an OTE of $360,000 to $440,000. Compensation is based on several factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About the Role

As a Customer Success Manager you will be a trusted advisor to build relationships with customers and help them navigate from onboarding through renewal.  You will focus on driving adoption comprehension, resolving complex customer-related software issues, and utilization of Shipwell products and services.

What you’ll do when you get here:

 

  • Build a trusted relationship with customers to include customer satisfaction, product support, and positive overall account health
  • Optimize customer utilization of the Shipwell platform to enhance their comprehension of ROI
  • Provide customers with a clear understanding of the value Shipwell has created and present opportunities that will drive further value 
  • Challenge the status quo and present ways to improve internal and external processes, routines, and workstreams 
  • Collaborate with internal resources including Sales, Professional Services, and Product Management to positively maintain customer health
  • Collect customer feedback and relay it to the Product and internal teams to continually enhance the user experience
  • Troubleshoot and triage customer-reported issues by utilizing product expertise and working with internal stakeholders to resolve these issues efficiently  
  • Address product-related questions from customers through clear and timely communication and build out a repository of accessible customer-facing resources to address future inquiries 
  • Work with Sales on renewal follow-up and customer business reviews
  • Becoming a Shipping Hero by building deep knowledge of both the features and functionality within Shipwell products, and of the processes and operations within customer organizations

What you need to have:

  • Proven track record of building deep customer relationships and aligning executives between companies
  • 3+ years of key account portfolio management where you successfully retained, expanded and upsold through joint strategic planning
  • 3+ years in a Transportation-related background is required, with a focus on Transportation Management Systems (TMS) 
  • Experience in a client service-related position with strong verbal and written communication skills on an enterprise level 
  • Experience helping users adapt to transportation-related products
  • Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence and motivation to creatively solve problems
  • Self-motivation, team-orientation, adaptability, and can work with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Willingness to learn, multitask, manage multiple concurrent projects, and work in a fast-paced agile environment.

What is Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in a SaaS organization conducting operations and or support-related activities
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and Intercom
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree

About the Role

As the Director of Marketing, you'll lead the charge in crafting and executing innovative marketing plans to propel Shipwell to new heights. This role is perfect for a passionate marketing player-coach who thrives on staying ahead of the curve and achieving measurable results.

What you’ll do when you get here:

  • Lead Marketing Strategy:
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the software landscape and target audience. 
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's overall business goals. 
    • Set marketing objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Manage Small Marketing Team: 
    • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing marketing team, including vendors with diverse skill sets (content marketing, social media, SEO, etc.). 
    • Delegate tasks effectively and provide coaching and mentorship to marketing team members. 
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented marketing department culture.
  • Drive Brand Awareness and Demand Generation: 
    • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, content, social media, PR) to generate brand awareness and leads. 
    • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources strategically to maximize return on investment (ROI). 
    • Analyze marketing campaign performance and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Product Marketing and Launches: 
    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new software products. 
    • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure messaging aligns with product features and benefits. 
    • Manage product positioning and messaging across all marketing materials.
  • Channel/Partner Marketing: 
    • Develop and oversee marketing programs specifically designed for channel partners. 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners to maximize their effectiveness in selling the software.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: 
    • Stay informed about the latest marketing trends and technologies. 
    • Identify and implement innovative marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition. 
    • Continuously monitor the marketing landscape and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Metrics & Reporting: 
    • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance using data analytics tools. 
    • Generate reports to measure marketing ROI and present findings to company leadership. 
    • Use data insights to inform future marketing strategies and tactics.

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, PR, journalism or a related field
  • 9+ years experience in marketing
  • 4+ years as a marketing director leading teams
  • Proven success in driving impact in previous positions 
  • Experience leading strategy and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Experience using Salesforce
