Position – how you’ll contribute:

  • Provide technical support for Java and DB2 based applications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Java and DB2 related issues.
  • Collaborate with the development team to resolve bugs and implement fixes.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure application stability.
  • Document support processes and issue resolutions.
  • Assist in performance tuning and optimization of applications.
  • Provide user support and training as needed.

Technologies used in the project:

  • Front-end: HTML, DHTML, JS, JQuery, CSS, JSP, Struts
  • Backend: Java SE/EE – 1.6 and 1.8 (mostly 1.8), Spring, RESTful JSON APIs, SOAP XML APIs
  • Database: Relational databases - DB2 v9.7 and 11.1, Hibernate 1.0 and 2.0

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in Java programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Java frameworks and technologies.
  • Experience with DB2 and SQL technologies (ANSI SQL, stored procedures and tuning).
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • Experienced with modern software engineering practices such as Agile, CI/CD.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

        Job Description

        We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team and help us develop our analytics platform. You will design, develop, and maintain the backend services that process information collected by our JavaScript and Mobile SDKs. You have experience in Apache Flink and building applications that use AWS native services such as AWS Lambda and DocumentDB, and knowledge of event-driven architecture concepts.

        You will report to the Director of Software Engineering.

        You'll have the opportunity to:

        • Design features that are easy to use, reliable, and efficient.
        • Collaborate with teams to understand requirements.
        • Write automated tests and conduct code reviews to maintain the quality of our codebase.
        • Be part of our on-call rotation, debug and troubleshoot issues that arise in our services, and resolve them promptly.

        • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers on the team and integration engineers working with customers.

        Qualifications

        Your background:

        • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
        • 5+ years of experience developing AWS event-driven architecture applications.
        • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
        • Knowledge of Java, Python, and JavaScript.
        • Knowledge of AWS cloud fundamentals, platform architecture, and programming languages.
        • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
        • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
        • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
        • Experience developing event-driven architecture applications using Apache Flink.
        • Familiarity with Github, Github Actions, Terraform Cloud, Jira, and Agile methodologies.

        A Typical Day in the Life Might Look Like:

        • 15%: Developing manual and automated test plans (because we’re serious about catching those bugs!).
        • 10%: Debugging backend issues and squashing bugs like a champ.
        • 10%: Collaborating with the product team to gather requirements and translate them into dev and QA tasks.
        • 5%: Participating in stand-ups to discuss progress and brainstorm solutions.

        Key Responsibilities:

        • Build and maintain backend systems using Django, Python, and Postgres to support fulfillment workflows.
        • Develop and execute manual and automated test plans to ensure backend features meet quality standards.
        • Create and maintain APIs to integrate third-party services.
        • Use Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies to align testing with business requirements.
        • Identify, track, and resolve bugs and technical bottlenecks.

        What We’re Looking For:

        • 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on Python and Django.

        • Strong QA skills, including experience with Selenium, PyTest, or Behave for automated testing.
        • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating QA workflows.

Au sein de l’agence rennaise, vous serez intégré dans une de nos équipes projets de développement d’application web ou mobile. L’immersion dans une équipe est une des clés de la réussite d’un stage à nos yeux car cela nous permet :  

        • De vous encadrer comme il se doit pour vous donner nos bonnes pratiques de développement  

        • De vous faire découvrir toutes les facettes de votre futur métier : analyse fonctionnelle, conception, développement et tests unitaires.  

        • De vous intégrer très rapidement et de vous faire connaître au sein de l’agence.  

        Les équipes sont généralement constituées de 2 à 3 développeurs, d’un leader technique, d’un expert technique, d’un consultant fonctionnel et d’un chef de projet. 

        Lors de votre stage vous serez amené à travailler sur un ou plusieurs projets. Voici des exemples de projets à rennes :  

        • Diagnostique Flash 

        Une consultante manager au sein d’ASI, souhaite pour l’aider dans ses missions d'audits auprès de nos clients ; la réalisation d’une application web qui lui permettrait de faciliter le traitement des formulaires d'interview. Ces interviews ont pour objectif une évaluation rapide et précise de la performance des DSI   

        Environnement technologique : réalisation d’une application backend avec des technologies à définir selon le profil et les appétences. Utilisation des bases de données, de GitLab et GitLab CI et intégration et utilisation d’IA 

        • Application Mobilité douce  

        ASI souhaite développer une application de mobilité douce au sein de l’agence de Rennes afin de faciliter et encourager le co-voiturage et les moyens de transports écologiques par le biais d’une carte interactive et de challenges réguliers.  

        Environnement technologique : application web responsive / multiplateforme et/ ou mobile. Technologies à définir selon le profil et les appétences. Utilisation de GitLab et GitLab CI 

        • Application du Breizh Camp 

        Lors du Breizh Camp, évènement important pour les développeurs, nous proposons un jeu via une application web responsive. Celui-ci propose une sorte d’escape game d’énigmes à résoudre, permettant de gagner des lots. Le but de ce stage est d'améliorer le paramétrage de l'application pour la rendre utilisable sur différents évènements. Ainsi qu'ajouter de nouvelles fonctionnalités utilisables dans les énigmes. 

        Environnement technologique : Vue.js 3, SpringBoot, Java, MongoDB, Utilisation de GitLab et GitLab CI 

        • Etude des nouveaux Framworks Front-end  

        Dans le cadre de notre engagement continu pour l'innovation et l'amélioration de nos pratiques de développement, cette opportunité de stage a pour objectif de réaliser plusieurs applications front-end en utilisant plusieurs frameworks différents. L'objectif principal de ce stage est de comparer les approches de développement entre ces différents frameworks, d'effectuer des benchmarks et d'explorer les meilleures pratiques pour chaque solution  

        Environnement technologique : Angular, Vue.js, Ember.js, Quick, Svelte / SvelteKit 

        • Développement en Tierce Maintenance Applicative (TMA) au sein d'ASI    

        Ce stage offre l'opportunité de rejoindre l'équipe de Tierce Maintenance Applicative (TMA) d'ASI. Vous travaillerez sur une variété de compétences telles que techniques, fonctionnelles ou pilotage au sein d'un écosystème dynamique. Ceci vous permettra de progresser rapidement dans le domaine et de vous intégrer rapidement au sein de l'entreprise.  

        Environnement technologique : Java, Node.js, Angular, Vue.js... 

        Qualifications

        En rejoignant ASI :

        Vos qualifications  :

        Idéalement Bac + 4/ Bac + 5 d’une formation supérieure pertinente par rapport au domaine d’intervention.  

        Durée : Stage d'une durée de 4 à 6 mois, ce stage pouvant déboucher sur alternance et /ou une proposition d’emploi concrète.  

        A compétences égales, ce poste est ouvert aux personnes en situation de handicap.
