What you’ll do  

  • Lead top-level digital marketing strategies to boost traffic and optimize operations across multiple e-commerce platforms in an agency-style model. 
  • Develop and refine a results-driven digital marketing agency, increasing revenue across all partner websites through innovative digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Master the intricacies of SEO, SEM, CRO, and email marketing, continuously adjusting strategies to maximize conversions and ROI. 
  • Implement comprehensive analytics and data reporting systems to track performance and guide decision-making. 
  • Oversee the management of workflows, resource allocation, and technology deployment, ensuring operational efficiency in the agency model. 
  • Build and lead a dynamic marketing team, fostering a culture of growth, performance, and strategic alignment with Lovingly’s broader goals. 
  • Utilize your expertise in digital marketing to influence broader team strategies, ensuring seamless integration between marketing initiatives and website performance, thereby boosting overall conversion rates and enhancing customer satisfaction. 
  • Alignment with Lovingly's philosophy and code of ethics. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in digital marketing or analytics is a plus. 
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in digital marketing within a dynamic, agency-style environment, with a demonstrable track record of boosting site traffic and conversion rates through innovative strategies. 
  • Deep understanding of SEO, PPC, CRO, and email marketing. Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms necessary for executing high-level strategies across multiple e-commerce sites. 
  • Strong capability in analytics and data interpretation, with experience setting up and utilizing tracking systems to monitor marketing metrics and performance across all digital channels.

This role serves as the data-driven consultant to the CMO, facilitating the establishment of marketing strategy and ensuring alignment of business objectives with operational budgets and KPIs.

What You’ll Do (but is not limited to)

  • Provides dependable advice and consultation to the CMO and other marketing leaders, leveraging diverse data, to achieve alignment with the corporate strategy and continuous performance improvement
  • Orchestrates the annual marketing planning process (e.g. milestones, participants, actions, templates, calendar), ensuring marketing’s goals are aligned with sales, product and finance objectives
  • Runs full funnel pipeline analyses to assess and triage the areas of greatest risk and opportunity on a regular (weekly) basis
  • Ensures impact- level marketing measurement and executive reporting on marketing’s contribution to the business
  • Coordinates the budget strategy and manages the budget allocation and reconciliation processes
  • Ensures that marketing measurement drives performance review of key functions, campaigns and channels
  • Proactively identifies, develops, and drives longer-term strategies and initiatives that will deliver sustained growth at scale (e.g. “the path to 10x the partner channel”; “the path to 5x our top 500 accounts in 5 years”)
  • Partners with the Egnyte leadership team on executive strategies and deliverables for board materials, QBRs, and the investor community
  • Gathers and disseminates internal and external marketing best practices
  • Participates in the development of organizational alignment, competency assessments and skills development, as directed by the CMO
  • Delivers effective change management and communications for technology implementation, data policy and process re-engineering within marketing

Your Qualifications 

  • 12+ years of experience leading sales and/or revenue operations athigh growthB2BSaaS startup
  • BS/BA required; MBA or equivalent management consulting experience a plus, but not required
  • International experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of sales, marketing, and customer success processes and metrics of aB2BSaaS business

About the Role

What you’ll do when you get here:

  • Lead Marketing Strategy:
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the software landscape and target audience.

  • Manage Small Marketing Team:

What you need to have:

  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (Google Analytics)

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will oversee a marketing team of twenty, managing the Demand Generation, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing and Brand, Content and Community teams. In this role, you will balance owning and implementing the digital marketing strategy while leaning into tactical operations as needed to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote our brand. What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive the adoption and success of our products and solutions in the market.
  • Align closely with product and revenue teams to understand our client’s needs, create go-to-market strategies, and create communication and collateral that reflects the company brand and ROI for clients.
  • Strategize, plan and execute on product and feature launches in collaboration with our product and sales team
  • Manage the planning and execution of multi-touch, integrated demand generation programs including email campaigns, video marketing, webinars, online ads, retargeting, sponsorships, content syndication, events and more
  • Oversee Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs that help boost engagement and conversion rates within key targeted accounts
  • Lead the development and execution for demand generation program delivery to meet our monthly Qualified Lead, Pipeline and Revenue targets
  • Leverage a variety of marketing automation and analytics solutions to monitor day-to-day performance, optimize results and measure marketing efficiency/ROI
  • Work with in-house and external partners, content and community managers to build a strong and memorable brand as well as industry leading thought leadership.
  • Continually improve our organic acquisition strategy, optimizing and experimenting with channels such as SEO, product virality, conversion rate optimization, etc. Identify the organic channels that deliver the best ROI, and scale them.
  • Lead the team in regular forecasting; annual and quarterly planning, keeping track of budget, and reporting on marketing initiatives’ performance, with a focus on ROI & revenue growth.
  • Exercise a data-centric approach to gather customer/user insights and use data to improve future marketing campaigns and results. Establish a clear framework for evaluation.
  • Manage and coach a team of marketers with diverse skill-sets.

What You’ll Bring to this Role:

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, content creation, community management, and/or marketing design, preferably within the B2B SaaS or technology industry.
  • 7+ years of experience managing marketing teams.
  • A track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies within growth stage organizations.
  • You have exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data-informed storytelling.

What You’ll Do

The role:

You will join as the first full-time marketer and work directly with the CEO. You will be responsible for getting new prospective students to our Enrollment team, who will close them and get them to sign up for lessons. Right now we get 100 new students per month and we will scale that to 1000/month in the next 12 months. Our goal is to do this through organic channels, i.e. without spending a ton on ads.

This is a highly creative, iterative role. You’ll be experimenting with new channels and tracking data to figure out what to double down on. We’re looking for a doer who is creative, ambitious, and self-directed.

Note that we published both a Marketing Manager role and this Director of Marketing role. We are only hiring for one role but we publish two JDs to cast a wider net for diverse experience levels.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing funnel and manage all external touchpoints to attract prospective students.
  • Experiment on marketing channels, iterate daily on new ideas, and work with ambition and playfulness to find a scalable marketing channel for Trala. 
  • Track and analyze data in order to determine which channels are working.
  • Build and iterate on marketing materials (for example, building and A/B testing landing pages).
  • Work with marketing contractors to review data and provide recommendations on paid strategies.
  • Work with external partners and influencers to get new students. 
  • Report on and give recommendations on the marketing budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and execute tasks individually.
  • Familiarity with marketing data (ie. segmentation, A/B testing, CAC, conversion funnels).
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Interest in new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ambition and willingness to try new approaches that might fail.
  • Previous startup experience is a plus.
  • Musical background. Ability to speak authentically with musicians, both current and prospective.

The Opportunity: 

Culture Biosciences is looking for a Marketing Director to build on Culture Bioscience’s innovative solutions (Service and Product), brand and value in the life sciences marketplace focusing on biopharma and biotech.

This opportunity is targeted to an experienced Product Marketer with extensive marketing communications, B2B strategy and execution, and brand creation/awareness experience. This is an agile role involving the building and execution of a rapidly developing Marketing organization within the global Commercial Team.  

This role is responsible for creation, communication and execution of annual strategic marketing plans including brand development and lead-generation efforts supporting Sales/Business Development workstreams. The role contributes to driving growth of Culture Biosciences’ offerings and new product introductions (NPI) launches (products and services). The Marketing Director is a key leadership position within the global Commercial Team, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, and a member of the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT).

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Plan and deliver an actionable comprehensive strategy incorporating insights from market data, trends, competitor activity, qualitative and quantitative marketing research, customer insights (VoC) and industry reports.
  • Develop and implement a brand positioning and customer segmentation strategy that aligns, differentiates and drives Culture’s product and services vision and supports Sales growth and execution.
  • Design and align an annual Marketing plan and strategic multi-year brand growth/market penetration plan collaborating with Culture Biosciences’ Sales, Business Development, Product Management and Application Technologies strategic initiatives. 
  • Design and manage effective Marketing frameworks/tools: Customer journey and touchpoints mapping; Customer personas/profiles; market data/Customer engagement; and marketing campaign performance/impact dashboards.

Tactical Execution:

  • Own and improve marketing processes and tools.
  • Build consistent operating processes for internal and external marketing communications
  • Drive effective brand recognition and awareness programs with meaningful articulated and measured KPI’s.
  • Develop and implement marketing and NPI launch plans for new products and services.
  • Design, develop and execute active social media channels and monitor impact KPI’s. 
  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of technical content collateral communications (internal and external).
  • Design, deliver and execute digital marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Manage trade shows, conferences, and events (internal and external).
  • Partner with Sales/BD/AppTech/ComOps to ensure Marketing plan is executed in alignment with Commercial priorities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field. Advanced technical degree/secondary major in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or other Life Sciences disciplines is a significant plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional Sales, Marketing and Communications experience within the Life Sciences sector is required; bioprocessing expertise his highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective thought leadership and advocacy with senior leaders of an organization.
  • A passionate champion of Culture with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and engagement experience.  
  • Remote-based with willingness to travel 30%.

Base Salary Range:

Culture Biosciences's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all qualified full-time roles and a great benefits package. The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000 based on skills, experience and expertise.
