Sales Development Representative

The Inside Sales, Sales Development Representative is responsible for lead generation and qualification for all platforms, Chromium, Visium and Xenium, across new and existing academic, government and medical center research institutions as well as biotech/pharma and service providers. Additionally, this role will work independently to engage with new and existing potential customers for platform/product awareness through various channels (e.g., web inquiries, email campaigns, webinars) to generate qualified leads and coordinate with Account Managers, Xenium Capital Specialists and Scientific & Technology Advisors for scheduling meetings and presentations.  This is a remote position based in Florida, North Carolina, South Caroline, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute independent lead generation strategies, utilizing research techniques to identify high-value prospects; maintaining strong collaboration with the Marketing team to leverage targeted campaigns and optimize lead flow
  • Responsible for lead generation and qualification for all platforms – Chromium, Visium, and Xenium.
  • Track, report on, and participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth
  • Foster strong working relationships and execute clear process flows for handoffs with cross-functional departments (e.g., Marketing, Product Management) to develop and execute territory-specific sales plans
  • Support the broader Commercial organization to improve the sales cycle time. 
  • Responsible for updating the CRM system to reflect accurate opportunities and pipeline.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; equivalent industry experience
  • 0-1+ years experience in inside sales or business development roles; preferably in the academic, life sciences or biotechnology industries
  • Adept at identifying ideal customer profiles and utilizing various research techniques to generate qualified leads
  • Skilled at uncovering customer needs and pain points, effectively demonstrating how the company's products and services provide compelling solutions
  • Proficiency in following established sales methodologies and navigating the sales cycle from initial contact to qualification and opportunity creation
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools for efficient lead management, activity tracking, and reporting
  • Skilled at coordinating with internal teams to address customers queries in an outbound or inbound sales generation
  • Outstanding relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and CRM database
  • Fluency in English and [add in specific language for territory] essential; ability to speak additional languages highly desirable.

Field Application Scientist - UK North/Scotland

As a Field Application Scientist,you will be engaging with customers daily and delivering instrument and applications trainings at customer sites, while providing experimental design, data analysis, logistical, and troubleshooting support across your region. You will be a key contact, in conjunction with in-house Technical Support, for responding to issues and maintaining relationships with customers. What you will be doing:

Communicate:

  • Acting as a key point of contact between the customer and company
  • Keep customers informed and trained on advancements in 10x technology and software
  • Coordinate and perform customer site trainings and demonstrations
  • Identify, document, and communicate customer issues, complaints or concerns to management
  • Maintain accurate records of customer-facing activities and customer complaints/inquiries within the customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Connect:

  • Scientifically partner with customers as they develop their research utilizing 10x technologies
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with customers

  • Work closely with the sales team within the territory to assist with pre-sales discussions and customer events, work strategically within the territory plan, and communicate any potential opportunities as appropriate.

Support:

  • Troubleshoot issues related to user's technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software and instruments
  • Interpret customer needs and identify the proper issue escalation pathway within 10x
  • Support field sales team at trade shows, seminars and technical symposiums (including presentations and networking with thought leaders)
  • Handle potentially stressful situations calmly and adroitly

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS with extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics or genetics
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with NGS workflows and data analysis software and/or spatial biology
  • Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and systematic troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation and training skills

The Spatial Science & Technology Advisor (SSTA), New York, is primarily responsible for working with the Spatial Sales and Marketing teams to help develop and grow the 10x Genomics Spatial business by accelerating the sales process and maximizing revenue for sales opportunities in their territory. About the role:

The Science & Technology Advisor (STA) is primarily responsible for accelerating the sales process and maximizing revenue for every sales opportunity in their territory. They will conduct sales and related sales support activities for all products and applications within the 10x Genomics portfolio. About the role

Our team is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Security Engineer (IAM Identity Engineer) to own and enhance identity and access management systems, with a primary focus on maturing our Okta implementation and hardening our AWS Identity and Access Management configuration. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Okta platform, a proven history of configuring SCIM,  in addition to extensive multi-cloud experience. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be the technical subject matter expert for our identity solutions and cloud configurations. The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling benchtop instruments and driving consumables for all platforms in their assigned accounts. Sales Executive – Germany (Central)

About the role:

We are seeking a Sales Executive for a field sales-based position responsible for the Germany (Central) territory sales plan. The Sales Executive will have strong technical knowledge in the area of Next Gen Sequencing and will demonstrate technical credibility to effectively consult with customers to influence key decisions on technology and product choices. Strong business acumen is required to build successful account and territory plans and translate territory strategy into business results. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of account relationships with key thought leaders in the Next Gen Sequencing space.

What you will be doing:

  • Demonstrate technical credibility to consult with customers on technology solutions
  • Demonstrate funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills
  • Commitment to rigorous territory planning, market knowledge, both accurate and timely forecasting
  • Develop and manage a business plan to meet or exceed business goals for the territory
  • Understand scientific project and business needs of the customer to win the business
  • Consistently and accurately manage sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using the CRM system and other designated IT tools
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory
  • Utilise product and application knowledge across the genetic analysis portfolio to successfully conduct selling presentations
  • Ensure full customer satisfaction whilst representing 10x Genomics professionally, ethically and morally at all times

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • Proven sales experience in life sciences or similar, with capital equipment
  • Strong desire to win business and establish long term customer relationships
  • Extensive knowledge of NGS
  • Ability to travel as needed to be successful in this field-based role
  • Fluent English and German language skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the area of Single Cell RNA Seq and/or Spatial Transcriptomics
  • Master’s Degree or PhD. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • Additional European language skills (preferably German)
  • Experience of using a CRM system (Ideally SFDC)
