We're looking for someone who has spent significant time working on a design system both from a process and an execution standpoint, i.e., establishing best practices, elevating the system itself, and advocating for its adoption and continuous evolution.

The ideal candidate will take a systems mindset to build and integrate consistent, efficient patterns and components across the entire product portfolio at a platform level. • Drive collaboration, transparency, and clarity between multiple teams and functions while fostering a culture of user-centric design.
  • Enable scale by establishing processes, selecting tools/platforms, defining success metrics, and ensuring the team's long-term health and success.
  • Be accountable for the broader business strategy behind the Design System and articulate outcome metrics for its success.
  • Report team and system progress regularly to primary director leads and VP-level sponsors.
  • Implement governance that enables designers and engineers to engage with the Design System and contribute toward its evolution and adoption.
  • Conduct quarterly one-on-one reviews with team members to identify successes, challenges, perspectives, and preferences.
  • Attend and coordinate with Product Management planning activities to identify library needs.
  • Align research activity to assess the efficacy of the Design system.
  • Negotiate and clarify staff capacity for system work relative to other commitments to deliver releases at due time.
  • Stay informed of the latest Design Systems thinking, engage with the broader community, and bring valuable findings back to the organization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management of web-based sites, applications, information architecture, interaction design, or front-end development
  • 5+ years managing design or front-end development team(s)
  • Preferably experience building and managing a Design Systems team
  • Front-end development experience with React will be considered a plus

Additional skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, collaborate to solve problems, clearly present ideas and solutions, and keep colleagues and stakeholders informed

Company Description

We’re a fast-paced, growth, cloud company, changing the game in ERP for mid-market, people-centric organizations. We’re on a mission to rewrite the ERP software industry.

We are transforming work into a more meaningful and inspiring experience for people, through software that’s self-driving, adaptive and intuitive; intelligently automating administrative tasks and providing easy access to the answers people need.

Our cloud-based enterprise software - ERP, HCM, FP&A - all arise from a simple premise:  empower people and give them a better experience so they can spend time on the meaningful, high value work they want to do.

Job Description
