As a Staff Engineer for the Core Platform/Messaging Platform team at Postscript, you will bring your passion for maximizing scalability to the task of leading the platform team’s next gen architecture – from high level design to implementing common core components for the platform. The Staff role at Postscript is one of deep technical ownership. As a leader of engineers you will guide the platform in weighing technical constraints and business priorities to make the necessary trade-offs to deliver customer value.

Our backend stack is a mixture of Go microservices with Kafka, Mongo, Postgres, redshift and a variety of other technologies, as well as some code that remains in our original monolithic architecture built on postgres and python.

At the company level, your passion for building great products, especially in early to mid-stage companies, will lead you to have a meaningful and positive impact on both the product and the company. In addition, you will have the opportunity to help expand the engineering team and build out architecture and processes as we scale

This is a fully remote position.

Primary duties

  • Architect, build, and maintain the core infrastructure across the platforms – messaging, data, and workflow
  • Maintain and create REST and gRPC APIS for external and internal customers
  • Define contracts between the platforms and enforce consistency in coding and data
  • Identify bottlenecks and points of scale and make recommendations on how to maximize throughput and efficiency, then lead the team to implement
  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering to create and evolve a technical strategy that brings Postscript to the forefront of the technical space we are in
  • Take ownership and get creative with your solutions, dive into bold ideas in order to achieve outstanding results
  • Contribute to the health of the teams you mentor through honest and direct feedback as we iterate and improve our technology
  • Guide your team to make optimal technical and infrastructure decisions, using POCs and new technologies to drive change
  • Mentor other engineers on best practices, standards, and learning opportunities
  • Be accountable for communicating transparently and proactively, defining scope, breaking down and estimating tasks, risk and change management

What We’ll Love About You

  • A proven career as a software engineer developing backend applications and APIs
  • 5+ years experience using Golang (Kafka and MongoDB a plus). SaaS experience preferred, history of working with Python a plus.
  • Experience with or exposure to migration off a monolithic architecture a plus

The Role: Senior Associate, Security GRC

Gemini has an exciting opportunity for a Security GRC Senior Associate in the Compliance domain.  This role will have a mix of strategic and operational responsibilities working with cross functional stakeholders to manage compliance audits, mature processes and procedures, provide guidance on regulatory and compliance topics, and maintain the organization’s information security compliance. This includes working with internal and external auditors to manage audit activities and a successful candidate will have deep understanding for information security controls, a strong record of building and maintaining relationships and experience in managing compliance risks and issues, validating evidence and managing compliance projects.

Responsibilities:

  •  Plan, coordinate and manage information security compliance audits such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI DSS.
  •  Plan, coordinate and manage the security aspect of regulatory exams such as for NYSDFS Reg. 500, CBI, UK FCA and other regulators.
  •  Support Gemini in automating the evidence collection process for audits.
  •  Mature our security compliance testing program to support continuous controls monitoring in order to maintain an effective environment. 
  • Design information security compliance controls to address current and emerging requirements.
  • Advise cross-functional teams to ensure software, infrastructure and process changes are implemented in compliance with information security requirements.
  • Support customer due diligence projects. 
  • Identify and assess security risks in the compliance domain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance field or as a Technical Program/Project manager.
  • Extensive expertise in planning, managing, and completing Information Security compliance audits.
  • Experience with key information security frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, ISO 27018, ISO 22301, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Knowledge of regulations like NYSDFS Reg. 500, CBI, UK FCA, and similar regulatory bodies.
  • Skilled in advising on both current and emerging information security regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Experience in security compliance testing and ongoing control monitoring.

                TheVice President of Partnershipsis a tenacious discoverer, builder, and cultivator of win-win opportunities that deliver impact. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for helping to drive sales through aligned health platforms, third-party administrators, and health plans.  

                What you’ll do 

                • Establish and maintain relationships with senior executives (C-suite) and health plan leaders 
                • Deliver presentations in-person and virtually to employers, brokers, consultants and at industry functions to educate prospects on Transcarent’s Care Experiences 
                • Follow-up on prospect meetings and successfully negotiate with prospective partners 
                • Support in cultivating on-going sales through the partnership once launched 
                • Provide marketplace intelligence on product and service needs 
                • Assist in sales training activities and provide appropriate training to applicable producers as well as fellow associates 
                • Participate in community, business, and industry organizations as appropriate

                As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:
                $200,000$210,000 USD

                Total Rewards 

                Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

                Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

                What you’ll do

                The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organisation is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and efficient adoption roadmaps for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, curious and collaborative team.

                As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. You will aid your customers and will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support to do so. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organisation as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer’s needs.

                The range of products and solutions offered by Cloudflare are broad so that we are able to meet our lofty goal of helping to build a better Internet. A broad knowledge of Internet performance and security technology is required, the curiosity to maintain and develop new knowledge is essential to keeping up with the high rate of product innovation at Cloudflare.

                Additional experience might include a combination of the skills below:

                • 3-to-10 years of experience in the IT industry (early or mid-level experience).
                • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong command of business English and (where appropriate) one or more languages of the regionally aligned sales team you will be supporting. 
                • Ability to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritise between competing demands.
                • Demonstrating empathy with customers and quickly identifying challenges and pain points they face. 
                • Understanding of “how the internet works”. For example:
                  • Know the differences between TCP & UDP, and understand what kinds of applications may favour one over the other;
                  • Can explain the difference between authoritative DNS & recursive DNS?;
                  • You understand the role of a firewall, why TLS (SSL) plays an increasingly important role on today's Internet, a solid understanding of HTTP and a willingness to dive deeper into the quirks of clients & servers alike;
                • Understanding of how customers make buying decisions, how to explain ROI.
                • A knowledge of the competitive landscape for one or more of: DDoS, CDN, Performance, DNS, Developer platform or Zero-Trust/SASE service providers.
                • You're OK with some (10-15 days per quarter) travel without travel restrictions: we expect to travel to customer offices, conferences and/or do talks.

                Bonus!

                • Previous experience in a pre-sales SE or consulting role. (note: doesn't have to be in tech);
                • Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash) and a desire to expand those skills;
                • Exposure to emerging technical landscape trends in Security such as Zero Trust.
