LTLGP is a global education learning system for USAID and its partners to enhance thought leadership and education program quality. Our vision is to elevate the experience of the field by providing avenues for local, regional, and global knowledge generation and sharing.  We do this by bringing USAID together with international and local implementing partners, researchers, donors, private sector actors, representatives of other education networks, and partner country government leaders in a system of global learning networks and hubs. These three global Learning Networks, the USAID Education in Crisis and Conflict Network (ECCN), the USAID Global Reading Network (GRN), and a new USAID Higher Education Learning Network (HELN), create opportunities for members to share and address education needs while benefiting from and contributing to a global community of learning. As the Leading Through Learning Global Platform expands, we will regionalize this global learning by convening regional hubs to facilitate further exchanges and activities.

The USAID Leading Through Learning Global Platform (LTLGP) project has an opening for a part-time Communications Officer (International Local Specialist). The Communications Officer's level of effort (LOE) is 50% time, ideally living in and/or having strong network connections within theLatin America and Caribbean Region. There is no relocation coverage. Please note that this position will be remote.

The Communications Officer (International Local Specialist) will provide communications and outreach support to LTLGP’s LAC Regional Hub. They will play a critical role in implementing the LTLGP communications’ strategy and customizing it for the members of the region. They will support information sharing and promote visibility of the hub among USAID and implementing partners in the region.

This position reports to the LAC Regional Hub Coordinator, working together with the Regional Hub Coordinator and the Administration Officer as well as the project communications team to create and schedule content in line with the project’s strategy.     ·       Analyse renewable energy and storage deployment and integration issues at the state, regional and national level. Facilitate the government relations.

    ·       Conduct research around policy, regulatory, institutional reforms and market-based mechanisms to increase supply and demand for renewable energy.

    ·       Help in drafting various policy papers on behalf of IESA and to support consulting division, whenever required

    ·       Assist with programme implementation, including help with preparing presentations, concept notes, Minutes of meeting & comments to senior leadership

    ·       Articulate findings through visually appealing/appropriate frameworks and in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal)

    ·       Contribute to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word) - prepare client-ready presentations that are well structured, logical and clear to understand

    Qualifications

    ·       Completed master’s degree in energy science/ power engineering/ renewable energy/ economics/ public policy or related field with minimum 2 years of experience in power sector or e-mobility sector.

    ·       Keen interest in power sector, electricity markets, renewable , energy storage , E-Mobility , finance, regulations, and energy transition is desirable.

    ·       Sound understanding of India’s energy sector and policy and regulatory environment

    ·       Should have a strong research background, including an understanding of experimental and analytical research

    ·       Experience in writing research papers and other strategic communications is a necessary prerequisite.

    About the Role:

    Bloomreach seeks an experienced Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem solving, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong revenue technical accounting background.

    Reporting to the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager (US), the Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards, and timely month-close and financial reporting.

    Your job will be to:

    • Evaluate sales contracts to determine the appropriate treatment in accordance with GAAP, documenting management’s conclusions with appropriate references to ASC 606
    • Own the closing of the revenue system (NetSuite/ARM) and month-end close workpapers (journal entries, account reconciliations, preparation of accruals/reserves, internal reporting, etc).
    • Understand and analyze contract asset and contract liability accounts activity
    • Drive revenue related business process and system enhancement initiatives
    • Assist on system enhancement and new products (SKU) end-to-end user acceptance testing
    • Assist the Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager on various projects on an ad hoc basis
    • Prepare deliverables for external auditors related to the review and audit of financial statements
    • Prepare financial details and analysis for Finance leadership

    You have the following experience and qualities:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
    • Certified Public Accountant or in process of obtaining certification
    • 1-2 years of experience in public accounting preferred or
    • 2-3 years of software/SaaS revenue accounting experience within a public company preferred
    • Strong technical accounting experience with software/SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606
    • Strong ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, document conclusions, and effectively communicate information to internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
    • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite and NetSuite ARM preferred

    The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000.
