The Role:

Podium is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer with expertise/interest in building agentic applications using large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will be joining a team of smart and dedicated engineers tasked with empowering local businesses by creating AI agents that efficiently handle customer interactions to optimize operations and reclaim valuable time. What you will be doing:

  • Develop and deploy advanced agentic applications powered by large language models to help local businesses automate interactions and manage leads.
  • Drive the entire lifecycle of AI agent development, from conception and design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to refine AI solutions based on real-world performance and feedback.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the effectiveness of AI agents in production, ensuring high reliability and user satisfaction.

What you should have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Elixir.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive innovation in a highly iterative development process.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting, as well as to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What we hope you have:

  • 8+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of large scale distributed systems and/or ML systems and tools.
  • Hand-on experience training, fine tuning, and/or deploying LLM applications in production environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, with a track record of developing AI-driven applications using this language.
  • Exceptional writing abilities with the capacity to craft and optimize prompts for generative AI models.

The Opportunity

As an engineering leader of the Growth platform team, your key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and strategy to define and execute the technical strategy.

  • Extensive experience in software engineering and ML engineering, focusing on growth, experimentation platforms, and scalable back-end systems.

Your experience

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Deep Data Engineering and Architecture Expertise: Extensive experience in architecting and implementing complex, large-scale data platforms, including data warehousing solutions and scalable data services. Mastery of data engineering tools, technologies, and best practices, with a demonstrated ability to design end-to-end data ecosystems.

Compensation range

$235,000 - $260,000

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Role Overview

Acquia is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our AI Services team focused on building Application and APIs around AI which can be leveraged by other teams and Acquia Productto enhance the value of the overall digital experience platform (DXP). The AI Services team is part of Foundation Services group and builds product offerings on top of Foundation Infrastructureservices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Product, Engineering and Architecture teams to gather requirements and identify opportunities to add value by extending existing AI services or building new ones.
  • Draft RFCs and propose solution design. Lead discussions with other stakeholders to get reviews, reach a consensus and approvals. 
  • Break complex problems in smaller manageable units. Contribute in coding, PR reviews, documentation, and automated tests that deliver on Sprint goals.
  • Ensure compliance requirements, CICD, coding, operations, security best practices are followed.
  • Participate in experimentation and prototype building in a collaborative environment, iterating on concepts based on feedback
  • Contribute as needed to the core architectural platform and libraries used by all teams in the interest of the stability, robustness, cost effectiveness, and performance of consuming applications and services.
  • Work with Engineering leadership to design and document a technical vision for the team that will produce stable, competitive products in the marketplace.
  • Encourage a culture of observability by ensuring logging and monitoring of applications and services is being configured appropriately to provide visibility into system performance consistent with SLIs/SLOs/SLAs and enable effective troubleshooting
  • Address security vulnerabilities as needed
  • Work with your team to understand and implement R&D Standards.

Mentor and train other team members on important technical topics through team meetings, pair programming, lunch 'n learns, etc. as needed.

The Technical Program Management team is an integral part of the Instacart R&D organization. About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of post-graduation experience in a technology field, preferably as a technical program manager, product manager, software engineer or engineering manager (technical domain), or related technical discipline.
  • Experience in defining, delivering, derisking, and clearly exhibiting a combination of product and engineering prowess. You can clearly demonstrate how you are an angle-changer to outcomes.
  • Can wear multiple hats to create strategy memos, write functional specs, define high level technical requirements, derive insights from structured data, and leverage LLMs as a productivity multiplier in addition to defining program structure & strategy.
  • Experience in managing complex, ambiguous, multi-org programs end-to-end, from early conceptualization and definition to launch, throughout a software development lifecycle.
  • A strong communicator, collaborator, and natural storyteller. You can distill multiple streams of information, convey priorities and risks, and build a strong narrative for stakeholders. 
  • Bring executive presence with senior leaders. You are comfortable writing detailed plans as well as upleveling to an executive-level deck.
  • Show strong ownership, accountability, and intellectual curiosity to understand executional and technical problems in depth, identify potential issues, and proactively incorporate mitigations into a realistic plan.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

We expect Senior Machine Learning Scientists to be versatile and have a well-balanced set of skills. You will focus on model training and maintenance with significant capacity for research (developing novel model architectures), dataset construction, and model hardening (preparing the model and code for production pipelines).

Day-to-day, your responsibilities are to:

  • Work with subject matter experts and product owners to determine what questions should be asked and what questions can be answered.
  • Work with subject matter experts to curate, generate, and annotate data, and create optimal datasets following responsible data collection and model maintenance practices.
  • Answer questions and make trainable datasets from raw data, using efficient SQL queries and scripting languages, visualizing when necessary.
  • Develop and tune Machine Learning models, following best practices to select datasets, architectures, and model parameters.
  • Utilize, adopt, and fine-tune Language Models, including third-party LLMs (through prompt engineering and orchestration) and locally hosted LMs.
  • Stay current in the field - read research papers, experiment with new architectures and LLMs, and share your findings.
  • Optimize models for scaled production usage.
  • Communicate insights, as well as the behavior and limitations of models, to peers, subject matter experts, and product owners.
  • Write clean, efficient, and modular code, with automated tests and appropriate documentation.
  • Stay up to date with technology, make good technological choices, and be able to explain them to the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with text data to build Deep Learning and ML models, both supervised and unsupervised. Experience with deep learning in other modalities such as vision and speech would be a strong bonus.
  • A strong understanding of the math and theory behind machine learning and deep learning.
  • Software engineering background with at least 3-5 years of experience (we use Python, SQL, Unix-based systems, git, and github for collaboration and review).
  • Machine / Deep Learning development skills, including experiment tracking (we use AWS SageMaker, Hugging Face, transformers, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jupyter, Weights & Biases).
  • An understanding of Language Models, using and training / fine-tuning and a familiarity with industry-standard LM families.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, applied math or related field, with relevant industry experience, or outstanding previous achievements in this role. A Computer Science background is required as opposed to statistics or pure mathematics. We’re an applied science group leaning towards deep learning and therefore software development proficiency is a prerequisite.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Would be a plus:

  • Familiarity in coding for at-scale production, ranging from best practices to building back-end API services or stand-alone libraries.
  • Essential dev-ops skills (we use Docker, AWS EC2/Batch/Lambda).
  • Familiarity in building front-ends (LLMs or more standard React, Javascript, Flask) for simple demos, POCs and prototypes.  
  • Experience with advanced prompting, fine-tuning or training an LLM, open-source or cloud, using industry accepted platforms (such as mosaic.ai or stochastic.ai).

As a software engineer on the Simulation team, you will be in the driver seat of our mission to revolutionize autonomous vehicle testing and evaluation in simulation. Your primary focus will be to drive development and integration of our automated simulation test pipelines to solve mission-critical testing and evaluation problems. These pipelines will automatically gather road data, create new tests, validate existing tests, and actively power rapid developer iteration for model training and performance evaluation. The Role

We’re looking for an AI Product Engineer to join our small but nimble AI team. Your mission is to deploy responsible AI within the Modern Health ecosystem. As an AI Product Engineer, you will work on developing and implementing AI-powered products, incorporating LLMs, embeddings, and other ML/AI technologies into Modern Health’s experiences.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical leadership on a new team prototyping and experimenting with new AI features
  • Productionize and ship AI integrations into Modern Health’s core product
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and trends

Who You Are

  • 8+ years experience building and prototyping: You have experience building products from the ground up with a solid grasp of the full stack from user experience to data models. You are familiar with RDS (ideally Postgres)
  • Problem-solving: You understand first principles thinking and approach problems starting with a clear understanding of context. You think critically about the implications of what you're building and how it will impact real people's lives. You can navigate ambiguity, keeping in mind the business impact of what you’re building
