Your impact

As a Relationship Manager you are responsible for ensuring your education partners are healthy, happy, successful, and retained. 

You will create repeatable and reusable tactics for driving engagement across our university partners' teams, which could include everything from webinars, email nurture, product hooks, etc. You will channel the voice of the customer both quantitatively and qualitatively to rally the necessary people and highlight success.

You will report to the Manager of Education Success, working closely with customer support, sales, and marketing to deliver a world-class customer experience and drive our business through renewals and expansions

Your role

Product Knowledge

  • Answering questions regarding the Handshake product daily

  • Identifying, diagnosing, and helping customers resolve data health issues

  • Expanding and deepening product adoption and usage amongst your career center partners

  • Gathering, documenting, and sharing best practices on how university partners can better leverage the platform to drive student engagement

  • Deeply learning and understanding the career services space (operations, structure, and metrics) 

  • Consulting with university partners on their workflows to help them adapt their processes to the Handshake product and achieve student success

  • Responding to detailed inquiries that require leveraging technical product knowledge combined with your strategic understanding of Handshake and our goals

Relationship Management

  • Owning the core and executive relationships and ultimate success for a defined segment of university partners

  • Effectively navigating a complex and nuanced set of relationships to build and maintain trust at scale

  • Implementing the program of recurring and on-demand touchpoints with partners

  • Transforming, deepening and leveraging relationships at varied levels with partners which may include developing collaborative programs, specialized meetups and tailored presentations upon request

  • Maintaining acute awareness of staff make-up at partner schools and ability to assist with the transition of new team members

  • 60-70% travel required:Conduct on-site visits with all partners and engage in strategic small group gatherings

Partner Success, Health, and Retention

  • Ensuring successful implementation for all new partners and partner offices in your book of business. 

  • Ensuring high and swift renewal rates. This may include the management of detailed contracts and security requests that are nuanced to each partner

  • Tracking detailed subjective health assessments to pair with data-driven account health score.

  • Collaborating with Handshake’s Product and Engineering Teams to ensure that customer needs are met in an efficient and timely manner. 

  • Understanding trends with your accounts via data reporting and dashboards and taking appropriate actions to keep account health high

  • Using Industry landscape, current HigherEd trends, historical relationship health and product to articulate/advice /suggest clear actions

Operations and Marketing

    • Helping scale, develop, document and peer-train on internal processes to support users & peers

    • Assisting with content creation for marketing collateral to university partners

    • Developing the relevant topic, format and audience attendance for targeted programming (meetups) for key Education partners

    • Leading tailored presentations for select stakeholders on all 3 sides of the business (students, career services and employers). 

Your experience

Overview: This role involves working with a strategic set of schools: building deep relationships and providing thought partnership and consultation in their utilization of Handshake. Additional desired qualifications include: Prior experience with the Handshake Product, commitment to travel 3-4 times per month to conduct onsites with partners and comfort with discomfort and an ability to devise creative solutions. 

  • Deep understanding of the higher education landscape and in depth product knowledge

  • Proven experience with SaaS and/or ability to quickly learn tech stack

  • Experience building relationships with customers and navigating complex or difficult conversations

  • Experience handling multiple simultaneous priorities

Compensation range

  • $103,000 - $133,000

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Job Description

You’ll join Xplor’s Technology Group — and will be focused on establishing our Mobile Center of Excellence.  This will be comprised of multiple mobile teams that deliver solutions across the suite of Xplor’s offerings.   The resources will be global and have skills in 3 main areas – Swift, Kotlin and ReactNative.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing engineering resources dedicated to executing on the roadmaps for our products’ mobile apps, which will include all stages of software development and you will directly ensure delivery from your teams.

You will be accountable for building, growing, and mentoring a world-class team of engineers to help Xplor reach its goal of helping people succeed. The Director of Engineering, Mobile COE should be passionate about an environment where technology is the key value driver for the business while partnering closely with diverse stakeholders. The right individual will be experienced in scaling technology teams and creating and delivering a great experience across a broad user base.

This individual will partner closely with other engineering leaders, product leadership and be a key driver in the planning, development, and implementation - including architecture, and technology stack all the while keeping an eye out for wider Xplor synergies.

This position directly & indirectly supervises multiple teams of Mobile Software Engineers at various levels, and is responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of their leaders.  The associate will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law. Such responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting goals; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Some of the responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Create well-structured mobile engineering teams and process to scale to meet the needs of both high growth-champion products and more mature value orient products through strong development practices to ensure quality and continuous improvements to process
  • Hire, develop and grow engineering talent by providing career growth support, effective feedback, and performance reviews
  • Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a technology roadmaps across said products to support our strategy and objectives, responsible for the execution of that roadmap
  • Identify and create assets that are re-usable across multiple products’ mobile applications (such as a common login component on iOS native applications for Mariana Tek, PerfectMind and Education)
  • Be a change agent willing to mentor and show the value of best practices in process and technology to all levels of the organization (includes showing back synergies to senior leadership)
  • Establish, track, and publish Software Delivery KPIs driving desired behaviors and best practices
  • Cultivate an Engineering culture of Accountability & Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee architecture within your product areas and partner with the wider Xplor org to execute towards a wider strategic cross-product and technology roadmap
  • Promote quality within all aspects of development by actively overseeing multiple scrum ceremonies – IE PI planning, backlog grooming, requirements gathering, technical design reviews, etc.
  • Assist and guide your team to support production releases

Qualifications - What would make me a good candidate?

  • Experience building out a Center of Excellence
  • Experience leading engineering teams with (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin and ReactNative)
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership both in and outside of engineering
  • Experience ensuring toolsets support an efficient, predictable, high-quality set of outcomes - tools from Atlassian, GitHub, Apple, etc.
  • You’re a true team player who knows that we all have to sometimes roll up our sleeves and help each other
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years’ of progressive experience in leading software engineering teams, at least 2 years managing engineers
  • 6+ years’ mobile engineering experience, including technical lead within a start-up or high-growth setting
  • 6+ years’ experience in one or more of Swift, React, Kotlin (or similar)
  • Proven record of implementing Agile software development lifecycles, automation in quality assurance, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and clear written communication skills

You have:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team while managing client relationships.

The salary range for this role will be between $100,000 to $120,000. Summary:

What you'll do

We’re looking for a Senior Windows Software Engineer to join our Zero Trust team. You will be working on the Zero Trust desktop client, which protects corporate devices by securely and privately sending traffic from those devices to Cloudflare’s global network, which can apply advanced web filtering and advanced Zero Trust policies.

In your role, you will predominantly be using Rust along platform-native languages & APIs to implement high-performance networking code that runs on multiple desktop platforms. As a Security Engineer in Product Security focused on native applications, you will:

  • Drive the security posture for our native applications.
  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to integrate reproducible security practices into the product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement security processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks in our native AI products.
  • Conduct threat models, code reviews, pen testing, and offensive security exercises, focusing on native applications.
  • Build solutions to technical security problems, fully working as an engineer and not merely an analyst.
  • Support our bug bounty security researcher community and maximize learning opportunities in our engineering processes.
  • Educate and mentor team members on security best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and product offerings.

Qualifications

  • Has 6+ years of relevant experience in the security engineering space. 
  • Has strong experience in native app security for at least one of our platforms (Android, iOS, macOS, Windows) and an interest in growing skills for the remainder. 
  • Is familiar with programming languages such as C#/.Net, Swift, and Kotlin.

This role is for an iOS engineer within the Life360 team.
