Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Your role as a QA Automation Engineer Lead is to lead the automation team to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to help the QA Automation team to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code.

  • Lead effort to manage the QA Automation across the organization
  • Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically
  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
  • Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
  • Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases
  • Build/ Enhance test automation frameworks
  • Log and document bugs in the tracking system such as JIRA
  • Set up Continuous Integration
  • Setup regression use cases for daily automation test cycles
  • Besides writing automated tests, Test Automation Engineers can still do exploratory testing when they need to understand how functionality manifests itself to the customer.

Technical Skills

  • Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as you will test web applications and API’s to find ways to improve them and isolate problems
  • Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors
  • Besides writing automated tests, Test Automation Engineers can still do exploratory testing when they need to understand how functionality manifests itself to the customer

Tools:

  • Proficiency with UI automation testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar is required
  • Mobile Automation testing tools for Android and iOS – Preferred 
  • API testing tools: REST Assured, Karate, etc. - Required
  • Continuous Integration tools – Jenkins and/or Apache Maven - Required
  • Source Code Management - Bit Bucket and/or Github - Required
  • JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool - Required

Work Experience

  • 10-12 years of Automation experience for Use case designing and Testing Framework development
  • Work experience with offshore/ onshore model is a big plus

Educational Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

About the Role

 

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to help build and manage robust data models, leverage data visualization tools to create dashboards, and partner closely with cross functional teams to design data solutions needed to enable financial reporting and operations. 

 

About the Team

 

You will be joining the Financial Systems Analytics team, which sits within the Finance department at Instacart. This team is responsible for ensuring financial data is accessible, complete, accurate, and timely for downstream consumers. As part of the team, you will be a key contributor in enabling financial data reporting, analysis, and other critical business operations within Instacart.  

 

About the Job

  • Build and regularly maintain data pipelines and models critical to Instacart’s business operation, including those used for financial reporting and analysis 
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Strategic Finance, Data Science, and other teams across the company to understand their most complex problems and develop effective data solutions, including definition and development of supporting data models and architecture
  • Contribute to the optimization, documentation, testing, and tooling efforts aimed at improving data quality and empowering data consumers across the organization
  • Regularly communicate progress, risks, and completion of projects with stakeholders, teammates, and management
  • Work closely with the Product, Data Engineering, and Business Development teams to stay current on the latest product rollouts and their data and financial impacts
  • Promote and drive a self-service data culture by developing self-service data models, building easy-to-use tools and dashboards, and teaching business users how to use them

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in BI, Data Science, or Data engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • AdvancedSQL experience and dashboard building
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize work and deliver finished products on tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, gather information, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions to business problems
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for Instacart, your team, partners, and stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with: Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery or similar data warehouses, DBT/Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools, Github, and Jira 
  • Familiarity with Visualization Tools: Mode, Tableau, or similar
  • Understanding of financial concepts, common accounting practices, and system solutions

Job Summary:

As a Sr. Product Support Engineer, you will provide product and system support to our full portfolio of clients. You may also participate in on-call schedules to help cover off-business hours support. You will need to become an expert user of our end-to-end fraud prevention platform, and provide timely and fast-paced responses to clients via our Zendesk ticket system. You will also work closely with our product team to provide customer feedback on different product usability. The Sr. Product Support Engineer will also work closely with our on-call engineering teams to troubleshoot product and system issues, and will be expected to understand our system architecture. You will need to have clear communication skills to speak with clients directly to figure out the source of their issue, and also give clear explanations once the solution or root cause is found. 

Specific Job Duties:

  • Provide fast-paced product and technical support to full portfolio of DataVisor clients via our support ticketing system
  • Ability to triage support requests in an effective manner to ensure request prioritization is maintained
  • Help monitor and manage internal alerts and dashboards in relation to system health, including but not limited to: API throughput and latency, UI functionalities, batch data pipelines, data backup and high availability system failover setup
  • Gain and maintain deep knowledge about DataVisor products, system architecture, and customer use cases to independently provide timely support to customers on the basic product and system support requests
  • Work closely with various Engineering teams (Infrastructure, Platform, Frontend, QA, etc.) and Product team on the escalation of serious product bugs or system issues, and facilitate the issue investigation, root cause analysis, and progress updates internally and externally 
  • Give clear explanation both internally and externally throughout the request handling process to ensure internal teams understand the issues and customer requests, and customers understand the technical explanation from internal teams about root cause and workaround suggestions 
  • Use Zendesk and Jira systems to document the issue symptoms, steps to reproduce, basic triage findings, Engineering investigation findings, possible workarounds, and solution planning 
  • Ability to analyze and track recurring support issues and trends to provide feedback on product enhancements and training

  • 3+ years of technical support experience in SaaS companies in Big Data Analytics industry  
  • 1+ years of experience using and/or supporting real time data processing or Decision Engine type products
  • B.A./B.S. degree in a technical or analytical discipline
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Strong time and project management ability with focus to ensure deadlines are met

You will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and testing risk and fraud related products and features products and designing, building, innovating, and launching new products, features, internal tools, and solutions. This person will work collaboratively with all key organizational stakeholders and closely with the risk and fraud engineering teams to manage priorities. 

    This position will also be responsible for identifying opportunities through a data-centric approach, creating business cases, defining scope, and creating initial product requirement documents.  This position will support the company's cross-functional and global strategic initiatives as an internal consultant and product strategist. The role will report to a Director of Product. The Product Manager will also regularly interact with key stakeholders such as executive leadership, customers and/or merchants, and will work with cross-functional engineering and business teams to constantly drive product innovation.

     

    What You'll Do:

    • Design and manage fraud detection tools and systems to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
    • Ideate, monitor & measure fundamental fraud and risk operational product metrics. Setting up alerts while working towards the team and company goals. 
    • Continuously evaluate and improve fraud prevention processes and tools to minimize fraud loss.
    • Develop product roadmaps and work with cross-functional teams (engineering, support, risk, legal, data, etc) to achieve company-wide objectives. 
    • Use data to communicate the prioritization of products, features, and projects to key stakeholders

    What We Look For:

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
    • Proficiency in SQL is a MUST
    • Experience in leading teams and/or influencing outcomes
    • 4+ years of experience using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers' ability to explore and structure customers insights
    • Strong analytical and data visualization skills
    • Ability to translate product needs into technology requirements

    Preferred Knowledge and Skills

    • Experience in payments, fin-tech, or credit reporting industries

    • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our website cooperating with cross-functional teams
    • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS and some Javascript practices, also utilising bootstrap in Laravel Blade Templates 
    • Contribute in PHP development and CMS features using Laravel Framework
    • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
    • Perform code reviews
    • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
    • Create and maintain software documentation
    • Cooperate with designers and marketing to match visual design and product intent analytics team to track user actions and copy team for content adjustments

    ???? Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Senior Full Stack Engineer at Hack The Box:

    • In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
    • Familiarity with a modern front-end building tool such as Webpack or Vite
    • Good knowledge and understanding of Javascript and PHP
    • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
    • Solid understanding of relational database systems (eg. MariaDB / MySQL)
    • Strong experience implementing responsive designs
    • Basic knowledge of SEO on-site best practices
    • Team player is an absolute must
    • Attention to detail will add extra points to your application
    • Experience with any CMS of the market is a great plus
    • Experience in Laravel framework will be highly desirable
    • Bachelor in computer science or a related field will be highly appreciated
