Your role

  • Organize, craft, and iterate on key product features: you'll use data, research and product thinking to form your vision, and make the future tangible by painting possible paths forward in pixels and prototypes 

  • Collaborate closely with your cross-functional partners: research, PM, engineering, analytics, design systems, brand, marketing – to ship and iterate on strategic, well-thought-out, surprisingly great-to-use designs that make real impact for both our customers and business

  • Help the team raise our bar on quality and execution of design work, including product reasoning, systems thinking, pixel level precision, mobile prototyping, ability to facilitate conversations with and present to stakeholders, stellar teamwork and mentoring

  • Strengthen the product organization's ability to experiment, iterate, and learn, both by creating visual artifacts / organizing information in ways that make conversations / decision-making easier

Your experience

  • You've designed and shipped features that customers love, ideally for both mobile and desktop, and can articulate what it took to make that happen, from product strategy down to pixel-level decision-making

  • You know how to roll data, research, business goals, technical constraints, and customer needs together into strongly-crafted solutions (mocks, prototypes, flows); you iterate fast, ensure you gather feedback, use strategic reasoning to inform your decisions

  • You relish using your design skills to bring clarity and simplicity to both process and product

  • You're humble, kind, excited to keep learning, curious about the workings of a three-sided marketplace and ever-evolving team / product surface area

Compensation range

$170,000-$185,000

 

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer II to lead design for our recording software, a core capability of Wistia’s creative tools. On the Record team you’ll design features that enable users to record videos remotely with a team or independently, as well as collect recordings from collaborators. You’ll explore everything from the aesthetics of the video itself to nuanced producer interactions, empowering non-experts to create polished and impactful content with minimal effort. You’ll report to our Director of Product Design who leads design across our Create pillar, which also includes video editing and webinar software. You’ll be involved in each stage of development, from strategy and creative exploration to implementation. The Role

You’ll be part of a dynamic micro-team with a clear focus, bringing together engineering, product management, and design to work towards shared goals. Each team works together to design, test, build, measure, ship and iterate the experiences that will deliver value to the business by helping customers with:

  • Inspiration – help them find and fall in love with a shortlist of trips from among 200+ unique adventures

Expertise in Interaction & Visual Design

Compensation Range

About the role

SecurityScorecard is seeking an experienced Principal Product Designer to join our team. About the opportunity:

Gusto is at a meaningful inflection point in our scale. We are launching a native mobile app experience for small business owners, and scaling a platform that other teams will use to solve small business problems.  

As a staff designer and design lead for our Member Lifecycle, Core Experiences team, you will play a critical leadership role in the strategy and execution of our vision for team member onboarding, offboarding, and all “people-related information” exposed throughout Gusto’s experience. As a platform design leader, you will collaborate closely with your cross-functional partners and internal feature teams to design and build a seamless and holistic experience for Gusto admins and employees. As a member of the Core Experiences design team, you will contribute to craft quality and leadership across the team, and help set the direction for how platform designers should collaborate with feature teams.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Work with cross-functional partners in Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science to understand customer problems, key opportunities in your domain, and define both the long term UX vision and also short term releases that unlock customer value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand common customer and business needs, and crafting patterns and systems that meet those needs
  • Work with engineering partners to assess downstream impact to the customer experience through data modeling and architecture decisions
  • Advocate for great UX, inspiring your teams with a strong point of view about what’s possible and aspirational for your product area.
  • Hold high standards for the customer experience, including partnering with engineering partners to refine the end customer experience and ensure that what we release is bug free, performant, accessible, and responsive.
  • Design for how your experience fits into our system and advocate for cohesive experiences through the use of Workbench, our Design System

We’re looking for a Senior Design System’s designer with direct experience working on PRODUCT focused Design Systems. About Product Experience (PX) team

We're a diverse group of creative people that love to learn, collaborate, and solve large-scale problems. We're looking for an inquisitive, curious, and talented Senior Product Designer to join our team.

Your work will impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. As a Senior Product Designer, you will work closely with other designers, engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders. While this is not a managerial role with direct reports, we expect our Senior Product Designers to lead by example and coach the team into doing their best work.

What you'll do

  • Demonstrate talent and passion for designing end-to-end user experiences.
  • Distill complex problems into approachable steps through researching, sketching, and sharing ideas with your cross-functional team.
  • Creation of low and high fidelity user interface designs and prototypes using Figma.
  • Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to work through technical tradeoffs that affect product roadmaps.
  • Partner with other designers to collaborate on shared patterns, product vision, and design goals.
  • Facilitate design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Influence and contribute to the internal design process and team culture
  • Make time to mentor other designers on the team and share your craft, learning as you teach.

Find ways to grow design's impact, spending time to share design decisions throughout the organization.

  • Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Deep understanding of human-centered design.
  • 8+ years working in professional UX or product design roles.
  • Effective visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical expertise and an understanding of network services/developer tools are a plus.

You will help improve the way that this 4.4 trillion dollar industry communicates with its store employees and save them from sad, slow, inefficient systems (think fax machines, voicemails, and the postal service). We are a well-funded market leader and have great customers, but there is so much more to do and improve. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to collaborate daily with product and engineering to drive concepts from idea to design to launch - balancing strategic direction with tactical execution to create high quality solutions our customers will love. You will dive deep into parts of the Zipline product, solving critical user needs and shipping solutions to challenging problems.

The user experience matters to us and our customers (Gap Inc, Allbirds, Lululemon, LEGO, and many more), and we want you to be part of shaping that!

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on setting long-term goals and direction, balanced with the incremental steps it will take to get there.
  • Drive user research to better understand customer needs and gather feedback on concepts and solutions.
  • Design flows, sketches, prototypes, UI, visual design, and more that solves customer needs and problems.
  • Solicit feedback from your teammates and colleagues on the effectiveness of your ideas and design solutions.
  • Facilitate design discussions, drive alignment on solutions, iterate on use cases and constraints, and ensure a high-quality UI and experience for our users.
  • Execute quickly and efficiently, iterating and improving our product over time.
  • Contribute to improving team processes and operations as part of a remote organization - demonstrating good communication and collaboration through leading by example.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive environment for the team.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years experience designing UX/UI solutions for desktop and mobile.
  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing a foundation in information architecture, UI & interaction design, visual design, and working with design systems.
  • Experience driving user interviews and concept testing with customers.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to develop the rationale, options, and execution plans for your features.

Bevi is on a mission to disrupt the beverage supply chain and replace single-use water bottles with beverage machines that provide on-demand flavored and sparkling beverages. We are seeking a well-rounded Senior Industrial Designer to join our Product Team reporting to the Head of Product and Cofounder. As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead design and research activities from market research and customer interviewing, through concept development to product launch. You will collaborate with Product Management, UI/UX Designers, Engineers and Program Managers closely to bring to life future machine iterations. You design for our brand experience: innovative, easy and delightful to use, approachable look and feel, and thoughtfully designed for all our stakeholders from office drinkers to service technicians.

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct user research in the field on a regular basis with our customers to build empathy, gain insights into user needs, synthesize the learnings, and translate them into design improvements.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to inspire cutting-edge designs.
  • Conduct up front competitive analysis and customer research on form factors, features and requirements specific to concepts we are looking to develop
  • Lead the design of updates to our Bevi machine from concept to production.
  • Develop and present innovative product concepts through sketches, 3D models, prototypes, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and other departments.
  • Ability to balance delivering on brand/user experience and delivering on business needs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to validate specifications with real users, and ensure designs are technically feasible.
  • Work closely with project management in order to estimate and hit deadlines and ensure learnings are communicated clearly
  • Participate in the development of product specifications and provide input on product costing and timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in design processes and product solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience taking concepts to production
  • Interdisciplinary team experience, especially hardware engineering.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, driven to continuous improvement, highly organized.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a history of problem solving, good design sense, sketching ability, form development, mockup and prototyping skills, and user research techniques.
  • Ability to understand and create user flows and think holistically about improving experiences across various touch points.
  • Strong aesthetics, branding and graphic design skills.
  • Skills in areas of consumer/user research and analysis, personas and customer journeys, ideation and brainstorming techniques, prototyping and concept validation.
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot rendering software (or equivalent)
  • Project management experience is a plus.
