✨The core mission of the Content Engineer:

Some of the main tasks in the Content Engineer role will be the assistance with testing, development, review and ongoing maintenance of our Labs offerings. You will start from delivering easy machines and then taking on more complex projects. Depending on your particular interests, you will have the opportunity to get involved in different domains, like cloud technologies, various programming languages, AI, Machine Learning etc. One of the main goals is the delivery of high quality cloud labs, exclusive machines, accompanied with good feedback from customers/users.

This is a role that gives you the opportunity to get involved in challenging and exciting tasks, while learning, researching and enhancing your creativity. You will also leave your footprint in the HTB ecosystem.

You will contribute to our growing Content Team and work in a highly collaborative environment. Reporting directly to the Content Tech Lead, you will be an integral member of a 5-person team tasked with developing high-quality content to engage our community effectively. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to providing support to other content teams, ensuring the timely delivery and quality review of content.

  • Develop exclusive machines focused on various new ongoing technologies and CVEs
  • Develop Cloud labs and contribute in other cloud related projects

????Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Content Engineer at Hack The Box:

  • Experience in Cloud technologies (Azure / AWS / GCP)
  • Strong grasp of at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Linux and Windows Administration experience will be a bonus point
  • Good knowledge in Web application and/or Network penetration testing
  • Highly organized, motivated, with a passion for information security
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, working both independently and remotely
  • An understanding of process documentation
  • Good command of English language (verbal & written)
  • Strong communication skills

What you’ll do

The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organisation is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and efficient adoption roadmaps for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, curious and collaborative team.

As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. You will aid your customers and will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support to do so. Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking to add a Software Development Engineer to the LAMP Development Team. You’ll work on everything from our customer-facing web application using open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services. You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: node.js React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, Ruby, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Terraform, Azure Cloud Infrastructure to name a few.

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Participate in code release and production deployment, have an aggressive approach to fixing bugs and defects
  • Design, develop, and test software applications in an agile environment
  • Participate in programming activities, monitoring, and evaluating system performance
  • Design and implement new application features
  • Meet deadlines and develop automated solutions that work with a high degree of reliability
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

About the Role:

As part of optimizing the online shopping experience, Sezzle constantly monitors users and transactions for abusive or fraudulent behavior. Our Fraud Operations team reviews suspicious activity flagged by Sezzle’s fraud detection system or escalated from Customer Support agents. Fraud Operations Analysts will block users deemed fraudulent or risky, and clear false positive flags from our automated systems and support agents. We monitor for new trends in fraudulent behavior and continuously evolve our policies and procedures to stay one step ahead. We are looking for a teammate who can work one of the shifts listed below full-time:

  • Sunday - Thursday between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Turkish time) / 12:00 am - 8:30 am - Central Time.
  • Tuesday - Saturday between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Turkish time) / 12:00 am - 8:30 am - Central Time.

This will be a non-exempt/hourly position.

Compensation: 

The compensation for this position is $1500 - $1800 USD/ GROSS per month. 

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor real-time transactions and other customer behaviors flagged for fraud and abuse for manual review.
  • Investigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to determine if the transactions are fraudulent or not.
  • Understand our systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.
  • Research fraud and user behavior to contribute to machine learning models, rules and other detection systems.
  • Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve our fraud prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.

We're looking for someone with:

Education:

In this role, you’ll work cross functionally to build Platforms that span the entire breadth of the Payments and Risk Stacks, and use data science to build a world- class, high secure platform that safeguards our users’ activities and money, and ensures unparalleled reliability. 

Gusto’s Data Science team leverages Gusto’s rich dataset to guide product direction and decision-making. We operate full-stack, working closely with product managers and engineers to apply data insights to strategy and product decisions, conducting analyses, prototyping and deploying predictive models and statistical tools both for internal use and for our customers.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Product counterparts in Payment and Risk to solve complex cross functional problems
  • Perform in-depth analyses of payments and risk data to evaluate risk signals, build controls and strategies
  • Identify new opportunities to leverage data to improve Gusto’s products and help payments and risk team to understand business requirements  and develop tailored solutions 
  • Work with our business intelligence teams to turn your insights and analyses into clean and consistent reporting
  • Present and communicate results to stakeholders across the company

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • We love meeting people with different data backgrounds. For this senior data scientist role, we are looking for at least 5 years of experience working in a business setting. 
  • Strong SQL skills, and comfort in at least one scripting or statistical programming language (ideally Python and/or R)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics, machine learning, ability to apply these to conducting and interpreting analyses, data visualization, presentation and recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and deliver findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling fashion
  • Be curiosity-driven and passionate about teaching and evangelizing a data-informed approach to product development to product managers, designers and engineers

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $157,000-$195,000/year in New York and $131,00- $162,000/year CAD in Toronto. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.


Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

Your Career

The Senior Consultant on the Offensive Security team is focused on assessing and challenging the security posture across a comprehensive portfolio of clients. The individual will utilize a variety of tools developed and act as a key team member in client engagements. They will be the client’s advocate for cybersecurity best practices and will provide strong recommendations in this domain. 

Your Impact

  • Assist in development of internal infrastructure design for research, development, and testing focused on offensive security
  • Conducts periodic scans of networks to find and detect vulnerabilities
  • Performs client penetration testing to find any vulnerabilities or weaknesses that might be exploited by a malicious party, using open-source, custom, and commercial testing tools
  • Ability to assist in scoping engagements by clearly articulating various penetration approaches and methodologies to audiences ranging from highly technical to executive personnel
  • Report generation that clearly communicates testing and assessment details, results, and remediation recommendations to clients
  • Develop scripts, tools, and methodologies to automate and streamline internal processes and engagements
  • Conducts IT application testing, cybersecurity tool and systems analysis, system and network administration, and systems engineering support for the sustainment of information technology systems (mobile application testing, penetration testing, application, security, and hardware testing)
  • Conduct threat hunting and/or compromise assessment engagements to identify active or dormant indicators of compromise (IoCs) using Crypsis and Palo Alto Networks’ threat hunting tools (and/or client owned hunting instrumentation where applicable)
  • Assist Crypsis Leadership in the development of security standards and best practices for the organization and recommend security enhancements as needed
  • Able to conduct cyber risk assessments using frameworks or standards like NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, PCI, CIS Top 20, CMMC, or other industry measurement tools
  • Conduct cloud penetration testing engagements to assess specific workloads (i.e., AWS, GCP, Azure, containers, or other PaaS and SaaS instances) for vulnerabilities and subsequently attempt to exploit identified weakness after receiving permission from client stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations to clients on specific security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks including response and recovery of a data security breach
  • Ability to perform travel requirements as needed to meet business demands (on average 30%)

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 4+ years of professional experience with risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods focused on Information Assurance, Information Systems/Network Security, Infrastructure Design, and Vulnerabilities Assessments
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how malicious software works (i.e.-malware, trojans, rootkits, etc.)
  • Ability to modify known and/or craft custom exploits manually without dependence on consumer tools such as Metasploit
  • Strong knowledge of tools and techniques used to conduct network, wireless, and web application penetration testing
  • Familiarity with web application penetration testing and code auditing to find security gaps and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting cyber risk assessments using industry standards
  • Experience with penetration testing, administering, and troubleshooting major flavors of Linux, Windows, and major cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS providers (i.e., AWS, GCP, and Azure)
  • Experience with scripting and editing existing code and programming using one or more of the following - Perl, Python, ruby, bash, C/C++, C#, or Java
  • Experience with security assessment tools, including Nessus, OpenVAS, MobSF. Metasploit, Burp Suite Pro, Cobalt Strike, Bloodhound, and Empire
  • Knowledge of application, database, and web server design and implementation
  • Knowledge of network vulnerability assessments, web and cloud application security testing, network penetration testing, red teaming, security operations, or 'hunt'
  • Knowledge of open security testing standards and projects, including OWASP & MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
  • Knowledge of computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods
  • Identified ability to grow into a valuable contributor to the practice and, specifically -
    • have an external presence via public speaking, conferences, and/or publications
    • have credibility, executive presence, and gravitas
    • be able to have a meaningful and rapid delivery contribution
    • have the potential and capacity to understand all aspects of the business and an excellent understanding of PANW products
    • be collaborative and able to build relationships internally, externally, and across all PANW functions, including the sales team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent years of professional experience or equivalent military experience to meet job requirements and expectations
