Job Summary:Blavity Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate for our AfroTech Sales team. As a Business Development Associate (BDA) at Blavity, you will partner directly with a Business Development Manager (BDM) to generate new business, identify opportunities, and pitch integrated marketing programs across branded content, social media, and live events.

This position reports directly into the Associate Director of AfroTech Sales. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage inbound advertising requests and qualify leads
  • Identify and contact prospective clients using outbound prospecting strategies, including cold-calling
  • Schedule meetings for qualified leads through consistent and creative outreach
  • Gather intelligence on potential clients to prepare BDMs for upcoming meetings
  • Assist BDMs throughout the evaluation process to ensure prospective clients receive the highest quality service

Qualifications 

  • Education: Undergraduate degree
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of media sales or experiential sales experience and a proven track record of success, or experience in media organizations within marketing or operations functionalities; experience in successfully developing a prospect list, while tracking extensive outreach

  • Schedule and execute virtual and face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients in order to build meaningful and beneficial client relationships
  • Lead the negotiation process by having a strong understanding of Blavity, AfroTech and AlphaNoire products and pricing, and the ability to offer mutually beneficial alternatives
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals by closing net-new business and uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Monitor pipeline health by leveraging Salesforce CRM on a daily basis, preparing monthly forecast reports, and clearly communicating needs to senior management
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Finance on active campaigns to ensure healthy client relationships and that billing needs are met
  • Manage and coach Business Development Associates in designing impactful sales processes and strategies

Job Summary:

Blavity Inc. is looking for a Creative Director, responsible for driving visual and tonal brand characteristics across all platforms and channels. This person will own both the strategic development and tactical execution of Blavity’s creative go-to-marketing approach. This role will work cross-functionally with C and VP level execs in Original Content, Marketing, Editorial, and Experiential.   • Oversee external agency and contractor relationships, including community managers, DAO creators and hiring additional team members to execute Blavity’s Web3 vision.

This role will report directly to the Director, Conference Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistics and tactical support for the execution of core operations for a citywide conference.
  • Manage operations, including coordination of utilities, internet, security, staffing, food and beverage, and COVID protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop a staffing strategy and implementation plan. Manage operations staff training, communications plan, and onsite supervision.
  • Coordinate set-up and manage Conference Operations Office and Staff Lounge. 
  • Order equipment and establish procedures for conference operations office, staff lounge, and other on-site offices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve team and event goals and objectives.
  • Serve as initial contact with the facility and contractors to resolve on-site issues.

  • Generate weekly campaign reporting and make recommendations for optimizations.

Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Required Experience
    • 1-2 years experience in Publisher Advertising Operations 
    • 1-2 years experience using Google Suite to traffic, troubleshoot, manage and optimize campaigns
  • Preferred Experience:
    • A strong track-record of supporting Sales teams operationally, as well as successfully aiding remote teams across multiple time zones.
    • An understanding of rich media and standard advertising formats including their setup and implementation

Job Summary: 

Blavity Inc. is looking for aManager, Talent Acquisition to partner with the Director, People Operations to build and oversee our Talent Acquisition operations. Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic recruitment plan based on company hiring needs
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to inform strategy recommendations (e.g. time-to-hire and source of hire).

Qualifications 

  • Education: BS or BA or equivalent working experience 
  • Required Experience: 5+ years recruiting experience, with 1+ year directly managing people
  • Preferred Experience: Start-up experience; experience recruiting in B2B environments; Media or Entertainment industry experience a plus

Job Summary:

The Sr. Associate, Email Marketing will develop, produce, and distribute editorial content, video content, and marketing campaigns through email that engages subscribers and increases retention.   • Inform, support, and optimize lifecycle marketing communications
  • Manage ongoing testing regimen (subject lines, layout, format, frequency, etc.) to continuously improve email performance focused on user engagement
  • Create and manage campaigns to re-engage audiences.
  • Reporting and analysis using ESP and Google Analytics

Qualifications

Job Summary:Blavity Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage client relationships and close business for direct Ad Sales, social media, custom content and experiential. This is a quota-carrying, client-facing role that primarily collaborates with the Ad Operations team, as well as the Customer Success team. Responsibilities 

  • Consultatively sell Blavity Inc. Products (Direct, Social, Custom Content Experiential) across our portfolio of sites by presenting our solutions against the client’s digital campaign objectives
  • Cultivate and lead the negotiation process by leveraging financial models to illustrate potential ad revenue, and offering strategic alternatives that serve to maintain mutually beneficial terms
  • Schedule and execute virtual and face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients in order to build robust and meaningful client relationships
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals by closing net-new business, and uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Closely collaborate with Customer Success and Finance teams on active campaigns to ensure healthy relationships and that billing needs are met
  • Monitor pipeline health by leveraging Salesforce CRM on a daily basis, preparing monthly forecast reports, and clearly communicating needs to senior management
  • Collaborate with and coach Sales Associates in designing impactful sales strategies

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree – Business or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: 3-5+ years proven track record in carrying a quota within brand and agency Sales, with an existing book of business
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, or equivalent
