Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join CareerPlug’s tight-knit and highly productive Engineering team. We take pride in our lean, efficient approach to product design and software development and we value high-level contributions from every member of our team. The right candidate will be motivated by the challenge of writing clean, maintainable code in Ruby and JavaScript to build and maintain mature, complex, and constantly growing software products.

Our developers work full-stack, building new features from scratch, and balance their work on new features with bug fixes, innovation projects, and infrastructure improvements. Responsibilities:

Be a key contributor in our process of continual improvement of the systems we work in
Provide thoughtful, kind, and meaningful feedback on pull requests to other team members
Write clean, readable code to implement new features
Collaborate with the team to innovate and fine-tune our current engineering processes to ensure the success of the Engineering team
Participate in group discussions about the patterns and implementations in the code base and how to continue to evolve those over time
Resolve incoming bugs
Write tests to ensure that changes to code properly fulfill business needs

Job Requirements:

The right candidate will have a solid technical background in the fundamentals of web development, with 3 years of experience building and maintaining SaaS products in a production environment, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience building and maintaining large production applications in Ruby on Rails. Requirements

Previous experience working directly with customers

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Email team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that delivers billions of personalized emails a month to our customers’ end users as well as processing all associated reporting data. This includes a highly parallelized platform to personalize & send emails at huge scale, REST APIs to manage/track user subscriptions, web pages to allow end-users to self-manage preferences, and dashboards to configure customer email domains.

As the manager of this team, you’ll work closely with product, design, and the team’s engineers to build new features in response to customer feedback and scale the channel as message volume grows. You will recruit, coach, and develop the team’s engineers. You will help solve major engineering challenges, by guiding key architectural decisions and (in certain high-leverage cases) via the code you write. Finally, you will have broad responsibility for the team’s vision, goals, and processes. We greatly value colleagues who help make us better engineers and are excited, in turn, to learn from us. WHO YOU ARE

5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of success, with 2+ years leading high performing teams
Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility, while having the ability to dig into technical details to inform decisions
Ability to communicate effectively and make hard decisions and tradeoffs
Experience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading software projects that significantly advanced the goals of your organization
Bonus:

Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, JavaScript, or React

Maîtrise les concepts d’Agilité (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog…).
Maîtrise de l’outil de « Test Management » Jira XRAY.
Maîtrise du langage Gherkin/Cucumber (Behavior-Driven Development).
Maîtrise de tests API/Webservices (Karate DSL ou a minima Postman, SoapUI ou équivalent).

Overview:

You will:

Architect and Deliver Demonstrations: Build and deliver sophisticated demos around LivePerson's core platforms, including Conversational Cloud, Conversational AI, Voice AI, and Conversational Analytics, along with key partner technologies.
Develop Sales Strategies: Partner with sales teams to strategize on winning opportunities, architecting new and custom solutions to showcase product integration into customer infrastructures.
Provide Technical Expertise: Offer technical and industry expertise across various business units within LivePerson, including R&D, Marketing, and Partner Relations.
Competitive Intelligence: Understand and relay information about competitors, adhering to ethical guidelines.
Proposal Development: Collaborate on responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFTs, etc., and occasionally mentor new team members in Solution Consulting.
Educational Support: Train Sales and Delivery teams on solutions and support customer conferences as a demo runner or speaker.

You have:

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Solution Consulting/Pre-Sales Engineering with a track record in large enterprise deals. Product Management experience is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Experience with web, martech, mobile apps, contact centers, and AI technologies is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in IVR technologies, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, API concepts, UML diagramming, Agile development workflows, Conversational AI and cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS certification is a plus).
Education: A BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, AI, or related fields. Self-taught and boot camp experiences are also valued.
Communication Skills: Exceptional public speaking and written communication abilities.
Technical Aptitude: Strong general tech skills, familiarity with OS, office suites, video/photo editing software, and the latest tech developments.
Bilingual fluency (English / Spanish).

Benefits:

The base salary range for this role will be between $100,000 to $115,000 at a 70/30 base/commission split. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications.
