Major Responsibilities

  • Assisting the product team with building and maintaining the backlog, ensuring all requirements and user stories align to product strategy.

  • Decompose Initiatives into Features and Stories that have been prioritized by Product Manager and presented during Planning under direction from Engineering Team Lead (utilizing I.N.V.E.S.T).

  • Maintain traceability between User Stories and Feature enhancements.

  • Running of various workshops such as story mapping, release planning, user story walkthroughs for each release/sprint.

  • Facilitate identification of gaps in solution capability.

  • As required, assist with integration testing to ensure that the product enhancements work as expected.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities range from high-level logical architecture through low-level detailed design and implementation, including:

About the Role 

As a data analyst, you will be responsible for understanding and improving the quality of Instacart’s online grocery business. You will help set up scalable monitoring systems to understand our business performance for driving strategic decisions and help inform when operations or processes are broken. You will play a pivotal role in leveraging operational performance data to diagnose performance or user experience gaps in order to create data-driven recommendations to improve our product and processes. Your work will also entail supporting cross-functional data needs to facilitate improvements across multiple fronts.

About the Team 

The Platform Excellence Operations (PEO) team is dedicated to improving the quality of Instacart’s online grocery experience for our customers, shoppers, and retailers. The analytics team focuses on identifying, understanding, and eliminating defects in the online grocery experience by analyzing and interpreting operational data. The team ensures that stakeholders have a consistent understanding of why business performance is changing and advocates for improving poor experiences that may be overlooked. You’ll be part of a dynamic cross-functional team that collaborates closely with stakeholders to provide critical data insights to enhance our operations and overall customer experience.

As part of the Consumer Pillar within PEO Analytics, you will be working on problems anywhere between a customer landing on the homepage to when they contact Instacart for support after their order. Minimum Qualifications

Role Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of software integration project experience in technology or Software as a Service (SaaS) industries.
  • Track record of success delivering complex, x-functional projects with mid market to enterprise customers.
  • Drive customer discussions in key areas such as customer journey mapping, requirements management, acceptance testing to launch leveraging other team members such as solution architects, engineers as needed.
  • Regular solution demos and be comfortable responding to high level technical and functional questions.
  • Strong desire to be a business owner of your customers to balance revenue, costs and margin across a book of business.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable planning and tracking projects via Smartsheets, Jira or other modern project management tools
  • Communication and comprehension of technical issues when working with the customer and our engineering teams
