AJ Bell is hiring a Remote Software Engineer - Go

Job Description

We're looking for a range of developers at different stages in their career and offer Go training for experienced engineers who haven’t used Go before.

The Touch team is developing a next generation investment platform. We want to use technology to improve the way consumers access financial advice and manage their investments.

The majority of existing platforms are still reliant on software and processes that aren’t capable of supporting today’s technology, so we started from scratch, developing a modern platform that is as efficient as possible.

We're building a mobile first investment app that lets advisers manage their clients' investments entirely through their Smartphone.

What you'll do:

  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering with stakeholders, working as a team to build and test features, managing deployment and supporting the service in production.
  • Work as part of a distributed team made up of self-motivated and collaborative individuals. Much of our communication is remote and async so good communication skills are key.
  • Iteratively make improvements to a new product while aligning to our mutually agreed design and architectural principles.
  • Always looking for ways we can improve our product, processes and practices. We don’t like friction and waste.
  • Automated testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment. We are huge proponents of automation.
  • Working outside of your specialism when needed. While all our team members have a specialism, we don’t let that restrain us. Our engineers jump in to help get things done even in technologies out of their core competency.

Our tools and technologies:

The below are all things that we are either currently using or have found to be a useful foundation when joining our team. Prior knowledge of them is not essential but would be beneficial to the role:

  • Go (we can offer training for experienced engineers who haven’t used Go before)

Director of Healthcare Compliance (REMOTE)

5 years of experienceDesignmobilec++

Vesta Healthcare is hiring a Remote Director of Healthcare Compliance (REMOTE)

Nice to meet you, we’re Vesta Healthcare.

Vesta Healthcare is a specialized medical group focused today on aging adults with long-term home care needs. We help these individuals live happier, healthier lives by partnering with their aides and caregivers, as a key part of the care team. We use a combination of virtual care, home-based and mobile technologies, data integrations and partnerships with home care agencies to make the home an integrated setting of care with patients, and their Caregivers at the center.

Vesta is the Roman name for the goddess of home, hearth and family. She is the caregiver. Often unseen yet greatly revered, she puts others' needs ahead of her own, keeping the hearth warm so the home and family can function.

We see Caregivers and recognize the power and potential they embody. More than just assistance, Caregivers are eyes, ears and hands in the home. Caregivers play the role of Doctor, Nurse, Pharmacist, EMT and more, but without support or guidance. That is where Vesta Healthcare comes in. Our program provides Caregivers with a personalized clinical team in their pocket. Our team links Caregivers to the people they care for and the other providers involved in their care. It’s an insurance covered benefit, so it’s available to most adults with Caregivers free of charge to them.

We’re looking to add to our team of experts who care deeply about our mission.
Our team is passionate, driven, collaborative, intellectually curious, and excited about the opportunity to transform our  healthcare system. We're inspired by caregivers and seek to create a platform that recognizes, utilizes and supports the vital role they play.  We strive to  continuously learn, explore, experiment and achieve results. We are here to improve the quality of life for caregivers and care recipients, allowing them to focus on the important things (like going to the mall with their grandkids)

The ideal teammate would be…
Responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare. This includes overseeing our compliance programs, managing risk assessments, and developing strategies to maintain compliance within all aspects of our operations (including clinical, IT/Security, Revenue Cycle Management and more).

The ideal candidate will operate at both a strategic and tactical level, owning compliance and creating Board-ready reporting materials, but also being ‘in the weeds’ and handling individual compliance reporting events. The Healthcare Compliance Director will play a critical role in safeguarding our reputation by ensuring that we operate in a legal and ethical manner.

The ideal teammate would be able to:

  • Design, implement, and monitor compliance programs that ensure the organization's adherence to legal standards and internal policies. This includes developing policies and procedures that promote compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. This also includes preparing and ensuring follow-up actions are executed for quarterly compliance meetings
    • The compliance related pillars of our organization include: clinical compliance, corporate compliance, coding and billing compliance, and Data/Security/IT compliance
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. This involves staying abreast of changes in the healthcare regulatory environment and adjusting compliance programs accordingly. This also includes supporting IT/Security in completing their assessment questionnaires
  • Develop and deliver, or source training programs for employees on healthcare compliance issues, policies, and procedures. Work with people operations and department executives to ensure that all employees are educated on the legal and ethical standards required of them in their roles
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies. This includes managing all communications and reporting with healthcare regulators and accrediting organizations
  • Conduct regular audits of the organization's practices and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This includes monitoring compliance metrics and implementing corrective actions as necessary
