Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Inside Sales and Proposal Coordinator to support our Business Development team. Partnered with assigned Business Development Manager(s) (BDM), you will proactively build sustainable growth, drive profitable revenue and foster ongoing client partnerships across the EAS group.

This is a hybrid position, working primarily remotely with time on-site in our Easton, MD laboratory as needed. Please check out our video that highlights the important work that we do.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Works closely with Scientific Advisors, inside sales, business development and operation staff across multiple locations to facilitate two-way communication with clients, focused on the monitoring of overall client goals/objectives, feedback on project status and project coordination/oversight. Provide guidance to technicians on the proper conduct of study assignments.

· Review customer scope from BDM and consult with Scientific Advisors and operations staff to gather technical/scientific information required to accurately prepare study proposals/quotations and estimates in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

· Work closely with Scientific Advisors, operations staff and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review draft proposals for accuracy and thoroughness before finalizing and submitting to BDM, who will send to the client.

· Keep accurate and organized records to assist BDM in following up on client inquiries and proposals, ensuring timely responses and professional communication.

· Actively work with BDMs and clients to optimize sales potential by understanding and responding to client needs and timelines. Propose creative solutions when appropriate.

· Serve as secondary contact between Eurofins and client when BDM is unavailable.

· Attend calls/video calls, meetings, and conferences to support business development and strengthen client relationships.

· Helps to address client questions, concerns, and comments.

· Works with clients and operations to satisfy client objectives, ensuring proactive communication, especially related to timeline needs.

· Prepares regular status updates to select clients for Eurofins Agroscience Services laboratories located throughout the US.

· Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

· Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, with particular skill in Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required

· Familiarity with PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams preferred.

· Ability to present information in a clear, professional, and persuasive manner

· Project management or facilitation experience strongly preferred

· Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and customer services skills required.

    IT Application Monitoring and Observability team is global Eurofins team that provides knowledge on operation of IT Systems and IT Infrastructure. Over 62K+ Eurofins employees relies on services that we are providing to conduct their daily operation. From basic application availability monitoring, through complex process analysis ending on advanced statical and ML/AI methods to proactively counteract any unexpected events that can negatively impact the bussies. Handling over 3TB of data daily our goals is to collect, process, and visualize data to provide knowledge in easy and understandable way to the end users.

    Your responsibilities:

    • You will be leading a team of engineers.
    • You will take ownership of complex tasks.
    • You will guide and lead execution of engineering tasks.
    • You will take part in monitoring requirements elicitation and maintain team’s backlog.
    • You will contribute to Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).
    • You will handle feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
    • You will be consulting developed and delivered solution with Security department.
    • You will be reporting directly to Program Leader.

    Requirements:

    • Proven leadership experience with IT teams.
    • Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure and applications on Azure using IaC with Terraform.
    • Skills in applying DevOps principles, especially deploying, monitoring, and operating containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.
    • Experience in working with NO-SQL database (Elasticsearch with LogStash is a must).
    • Knowledge in securing IT environments (SSL, certificate management, security concepts like encryptions, hashing etc.)
    • Development skills (scripting level in bash, basic Python is nice to have)
    • Familiarity with any modelling languages (ex. C4, UML, ArchiMate)
    • Data visualization and data story telling techniques.

     

      Qualifications

      • Experience in design and maintaining data pipelines for data analytics.
      • Mathematical (statistical) background is an advantage.
      • Understanding of Azure services (Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Firewall, Application Gateway, Log Analytics).
      • Understating of auto scaling concepts.
      • Familiarity with Azure Data Services.

      Role Summary:

      As part of an ongoing global IT transformation program, Eurofins is currently looking for enhancements to provide hands-on IT support at in-scope locations covering IT infrastructure services such as: Azure Cloud solutions, containers, networks, automation, DevOps. The applicant will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting the implementation of Cloud Native standards and DevOps heuristics. The team supports and coaches regional and local IT teams to create a resilient, repeatable, and sustainable IT landscape that is tailored to business requirements.

      Objectives:

      As a team member you will act as the liaison between cloud architects and regional and local IT teams as well as local business stakeholders. Based on the knowledge, the team will help application teams modernize their applications to suit cloud-based deployment and modern authentication.

      The main objectives are:

      • Design and implement cloud-based solutions on Azure.
      • Manage and optimize multiple Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, Rancher)
      • Implement and maintain the Terraform- based release solution.
      • Rollout and upgrade existing Azure tenants.
      • Collaborate, consult, train and support different IT teams to implement the new standards.
      • Help various IT teams cover major incidents.


      Examples of tasks:

      • Contact regional IT team, collect requirements, and implement standard operating procedures.
      • Deploy an application landing zone in your Azure environment using the Terraform framework.
      • ITIL and DevOps approach to solving technical problems. Troubleshoot problems that arise.
      • Deploy Application Landing Zone using in-house Terraform-based solution.
      • Work with application teams to accommodate cloud requirements.
      • Serving as an escalation point for all IT teams to do support and troubleshooting,
      • Provide quality documentation, enabling smooth day-to-day operations.
      • Collaborate closely with the rest of the IT infrastructure and operations, architecture, application, and security teams.
      • Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, and simplify delivery by contributing Terraform code.

      Qualifications

      Qualifications and experience:

      • At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience in complex IT environments.
      • Extensive knowledge of IT Services and their relationships in complex environments
      • Ability to learn and think out-of-the-box.
      • Capable of code analysis and reverse engineering.
      • Positive attitude in the face of challenges

      Necessary:

      • Microsoft Azure (operations and infrastructure)
      • Good Linux/Windows OS administration and scripting skills (DSC preferred)
      • Deep knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and similar products, e.g., AKS, EKS.
      • Monitoring and alerting systems. e.g., DataDog, Icinga, Nagios
      • Security and Registration Tools.
      • Identity and access management using Azure AD
      • Automation and implementation of e.g., Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm, Azure DevOps
      • GitOps Practitioner
      • Software distribution and software packaging
      • Solid networking knowledge

      Essential Job Duties:


      • Achieve 100% of sales quotas for assigned territory
      • Territory Management:
      • Analyze information and data to develop a territory plan to achieve financial objectives -- maximizing call schedules, targeting, and appropriate company and test positioning
      • Spend appropriate number of overnights to effectively cover geographical territory responsibility
      • Organize, prioritize and perform sales activities which must adhere to business needs and objectives set annually by Sales Management and will include territory routing, call activity and pre-call planning goals.


      Selling:

      • Calls on prospective clients to create demand, communicate medical, clinical and patient outcome benefits, deliver product information, prepare quotes and proposals within company guidelines
      • Promptly and efficiently move a client through the sales process from cold call to close and follow-through
      • Effectively prepare and deliver formal sales presentations to clients;
      • Follow through after the close to ensure appropriate sales processes are in place to maximize test volume from an account and to ensure timely payment from account
      • Conduct client business reviews, as dictated by annual goals, throughout the year to retain and grow client business


      Administration:
      • Maintain and executive on an accurate, robust pipeline of sales opportunities indicating close date, staging, products/revenue for weekly department meetings and monthly review at executive level.
      • Perform routine weekly & monthly administrative duties by established due dates
      • Enter call notes into Client Relationship Management ASAP but no later than Monday the week following call completion
      • Submit expense reports within 30 days of being incurred
      • Complete Media Lab and other assigned departmental training
      • Performance Expectations:
      • Develop and maintain an effective/professional working relationship with external customers and internal colleagues to provide the best service possible
      • Represent department and organization professionally and favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all times
      • Other duties as assigned by management

      Qualifications

      Bachelor’s degree in the sciences or business administration
      • At least 3 – 5 years of direct sales experience, laboratory services or medical sales preferred
      • Ability to travel up to 75%
      • Customer service focused and professional attitude
      • Ability to solve problems, prioritize and multi-task
      • Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
