  • Strong experience with automation frameworks including but not limited to Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, SoapUI, TestNG.
  • Prior experience using testing/project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience with Java or RoR would be advantageous. Added bonus if you are able to communicate when you use assertations and which class assertations you have used!

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Practice Leader for our product portfolios: Application Services, Professional services to join our growing team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a product manager of professional services specifically in: Network Services; Zero Trust; and Application Services.
  • Prioritizes and executes on building offerings based on alignment with strategic vision.
  • Review information gathered by PS Leaders and Implementation Managers to understand offering value propositions.
  • Execute on building PS offerings based on direction from Leadership.
  • Builds sales collateral, scoping guidelines, project plans, delivery kits/accelerators.
  • Leads effort to create and maintain selling and delivery enablement.

Job Purpose

The Software Engineer will join the software development team in designing and implementing the development of our consumer-facing, high-traffic, e-commerce web platform.  We are looking for front end, back end, and fullstack developers from junior to mid-level.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops software solutions by identifying user and system requirements for anew customer-facing, high-traffic, e-commerce web platform
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Proposes and enforces best practices for software development lifecycle
  • Proposes coding standards and guidelines for the team to follow and enforce them through code review process
  • Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities
  • Collaborates with team to brainstorm and creates new ideas and solutions
  • Designs the new web platform where security is part of the design consideration from the start
  • Ensures that the platform is designed and coded so ongoing deployment, support and maintenance can be streamlined, following the CI/CD process 
  • Performs technical analysis to support the effective and efficient development efforts
  • Writes code for key modules of the platform
  • Designs testing methodology including automated unit testing of the platform modules; able to do some testing if/when needed
  • Communicates on project/task status clearly and effectively with the management team, development team, and project managers
  • Moves fast, bias towards action, follows the cycle of coding, iterating, testing, deploying and optimizing websites
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of programming experience, including REST API, Python, Django, and VueJS experience.
  • Excellent MySQL, Postgresql and ElasticSearch skills with hands-on experience
  • Hands-on experience of designing and architecting high traffic consumer e-commerce websites 
  • Experience with CICD tools, Git, Jira
  • Web application security (OWASP) 
  • Experience working with queuing tools (e.g. RabbitMQ)
  • Experience working with large remote team
  • Hands on experience with agile development process
  • Hands on experience of having worked on a large scale e-commerce platform
  • Hands on experience with AWS web services
  • Experience with CSS, Javascript and HTML

    • Integrating security measures into ongoing projects and mitigating potential risks (via collaboration with cross-functional teams);
    • Conducting security assessments of third-party vendors, suppliers, and partners to evaluate their compliance with established security policies, regulations, contracts, and industry best practices.
    • Lead training sessions to educate employees on security best practices (inc. phishing prevention / other forms of cyberattacks);

    The successful candidate must meet each of the following criteria in order to be considered for this position:

    • At least 4 years experience in an Information Security position (post-graduate);
    • Proven track record in maintaining SOC 2 compliance frameworks / ISO 27001 security standards / applying security best practices & industry regulations;

    • A comprehensive understanding of Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Security Compliance, Security of SaaS Applications;
    • Experience in Security Incident Detection & Response;
    • Experience with IT management tools and practices (e.g., SSO, MDM, MacOS) (Build);
    • Broad experience in IT management and operational tasks. (Run);

    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical and functional matters with diverse audiences (both client and internal);
    • Eagerness to learn and discover new topics;
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;

    • Fluent spoken & written English.

    You will: 

    • Develop and implement test plans and test cases according to project requirements and specifications.
    • Identify, document, and monitor software defects and inconsistencies.
    • Conduct regression testing, smoke testing, and exploratory testing.
    • Ensure thorough investigation, documentation, and resolution of all reported issues.
    • Ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and best practices.
    • Effectively communicating testing progress, problems, and suggestions for improvement to management, stakeholders, and team members.
    • Participate in test planning and estimation activities.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of test results and testing progress.
    • Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
    • Keep up with the most recent developments and industry best practices in quality assurance. 
    • Help the test automation team incorporate more automated tests into the testing procedure to increase the amount of automated test coverage.

    You have:

    • Minimum of four years of experience as a QA Engineer, mostly engaged in manual testing.
    • A track record of success in manual testing or a related QA position.
    • Solid understanding of QA procedures and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Ability to write precise, succinct, and thorough test plans and cases.
    • Expertise with a range of testing methodologies and approaches, such as regression, smoke, and functional testing.
    • Knowledge of test management and problem-tracking systems such as Jira
    • Familiarity with Postman and other API testing tools.
    • Understanding of the Scrum and Agile techniques.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • A keen eye for detail and excellent planning abilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in executing tasks in a collaborative setting.
    • Fundamental understanding of automated testing methods and tools.
    • Some of the good-to-have qualifications
    • A plus is having ISTQB certification or an equivalent.
    • Understanding of one or more of the following:
      1. Automation tools: Cypress, Nightwatch, Selenium
      2. CI/CD: GitLab
      3. Programming Languages: Java or JavaScript
