About The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Email marketing who will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Lifecycle program at Ethos. They are responsible for the overall strategy, growth, delivery, and execution of Ethos’ multi-channel lifecycle campaigns for our D2C business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven email marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, with a strong focus on revenue generation and conversion optimization. This role requires a blend of hands-on execution and longer-term, strategic planning.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals and revenue targets
  • Lead the creation, optimization, and execution of email campaigns across the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention
  • Design and implement 0-to-1 email cadences for new product launches, ensuring effective communication of product value propositions
  • Develop and optimize transactional email flows to enhance customer experience and drive additional conversions
  • Conduct continuous A/B testing and experimentation to improve email performance and drive life insurance conversion rates
  • Analyze email performance metrics and customer data to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Align email lifecycle strategies with sales strategies to ensure a cohesive customer journey and maximize conversion opportunities
  • Write clear, strategic briefs for email campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and provide direction for creative teams
  • Collaborate closely with designers and copywriters to create compelling, on-brand email content that drives engagement and conversions
  • Develop and maintain a strong point of view on email content strategy, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices
  • Develop and manage the email marketing budget, including forecasting and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Own and be accountable for revenue goals specifically attributed to email marketing channels

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in email marketing for D2C businesses, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful email marketing campaigns in a D2C environment, preferably in insurance or financial services
  • Proficiency in D2C-focused email marketing platforms such as Iterable, Braze, or Customer.io
  • Experience in creating and optimizing 0-to-1 email cadences for new product launches
  • Proven ability to design and improve transactional email flows
  • Strong background in experimentation and conversion rate optimization, specifically for life insurance or similar high-consideration products
  • Extensive experience with A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization strategies
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and translate them into revenue-driving initiatives
  • Proven expertise in email content strategy and the ability to articulate a clear vision for email marketing initiatives
  • Significant experience collaborating with designers and copywriters to create high-performing email content

About the role

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive People Operations Associate to support our People Team during an upcoming parental leave (October 2024- March 2025). About the Role

Ethos is revolutionizing the life insurance industry by transforming a traditionally 8-week, agent-driven process into a seamless, primarily digital experience where customers can purchase Term Life insurance in under 8 minutes. The quality of our digital experience is paramount. We strive to replicate and surpass the core functions of a traditional agent-driven process — uncovering customer needs, explaining the application process, helping guide them through challenging coverage selection decisions, building trust in Ethos, and striking an emotional chord with users to motivate them to purchase immediately.

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Content Designer to elevate our consumer experience through outstanding content, and help build the most delightful and highest-converting Life Insurance purchase experience in the industry, bar none.  You’ll work closely with our product and design teams to provide users clarity and motivation at every stage of their purchase journey, from the moment they land on our site to after they’ve purchased a life insurance policy. You’ll be embedded within agile teams, contributing to projects from the very beginning, and helping decide not only what to say, but how best to say it. You’ll also think about the bigger picture, ensuring our end-to-end journey is cohesive, and our tone of voice is consistent and aligned with our brand. 

The work you do will have a direct, tangible impact on the bottom line, and leave an indelible mark on our users and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead content design for several product teams. Partner with our PM, UX Design, and Research leads on our most important initiatives, helping take products from conception to launch. You will be deeply involved in product initiatives from the start.
  • Know your customers. 
    • Understand what experiments have and haven’t worked in the past, and what we’ve learned from past user conversations. Conduct content discovery, including inventories, audits, and competitive research. Collaborate on card sorts, user surveys, interviews, and workshops. 
    • Become an expert on the end-to-end Ethos life insurance purchase journey, individual features and their functionality, and existing content on the site.
  • Design, write, edit and test clear, compelling in-product language to help users and teams meet their goals. 
    • This includes content on landing pages, onboarding flow, checkout, and post-purchase experiences, and overall site navigation. 
    • You’ll contribute language that is not only functional (helping demystify complex life insurance concepts), but also emotional (motivating users to confront the risks their loved ones face, and purchase insurance.)
    • You’ll also ensure every microinteraction with the user is highly polished (e.g. tooltips, error states, navigation labels) 
  • Craft a great end-to-end story for our users. You’ll ensure consistency in tone and voice across every consumer touchpoint, and seamless transitions from one step in the user journey to the next.
  • Collaborate closely with UX design on information hierarchy for complex features, helping convey the most important messages to users (especially on mobile devices.)
  • Test, evaluate, and improve your content. Use analytics, customer success data, and methods like A/B testing, readability testing, usability testing, and navigation model testing.
  • Level up the content design craft at Ethos. Create, contribute to, and evolve our standards, guidelines, methods, tools, and product review sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 5 years of content design experience, with at least 3 years designing content for direct-to-consumer products
  • Worked on language for products that has driven quantifiable metrics such as conversions and revenue per user
  • Experience working autonomously  in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects every sprint.
  • Experience with writing both functional and emotional language to drive clarity, motivation 
  • Experience writing for  complex products (especially in financial services) strongly preferred
  • Experience working with design tools such as Figma

About the Role

About the Role

Ethos is seeking a Senior Manager, Insurance Operations to support our Customer Experience team in a variety of operational areas, including operational reviews, audit support, customer support, licensing, policy updates, and internal training. Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of total experience in the technology industry
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager in a high growth technology company, building products that touch millions of consumers
  • Ability to generate, test, and refine hypotheses using a blend of data, user insights, and market trends, ensuring product decisions are both innovative and impactful
  • Ability to seamlessly transform ideas into actionable plans and user-resonant designs, utilizing rapid prototyping and feedback-driven iterations for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical orientation: a focus on data driven decision making and the ability to measure success. Experience performing basic self-serve analytics using SQL and Amplitude while leveraging product analytics for complex analysis is a plus
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other team members, and key Engineering and Design stakeholders to build delightful product experiences
  • Drive to set and chase ambitious goals, prioritize what really matters, overcome inevitable obstacles, and execute effectively
  • Track record of solving hard customer problems and driving business growth
  • Major stakeholders are based in our San Francisco office, remote candidates may be considered

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $217,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About the Role

As the Head of Creative and Brand at Ethos Life, you will lead the charge in developing cutting-edge creatives that inspire action and drive significant results and masterfully up level our brand. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Consumer Business, you will command a world-class team that is at the forefront of transforming the insurance industry and redefining standards in creative marketing.  You will build a high-velocity creative machine that propels our performance across diverse digital and traditional channels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of high-impact, conversion-oriented creatives across marketing channels including paid social, TV, radio, lifecycle, and search
  • Elevate the brand’s voice to resonate more profoundly with our audience, and connect on an emotional level
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of creative and product marketing professionals, fostering an environment of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Drive creative excellence by delivering constructive feedback, introducing transformative ideas, and meticulously executing the most promising concepts to ensure outstanding results
  • Manage the creative budget, oversee external agencies in developing creative assets, and ensure that internal and external resources are utilized effectively to maximize results

  • Lead the development of clear value propositions and messaging for multiple new products, informed by a deep understanding of consumer needs and market opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You bring over 10 years of experience across brand, creative, integrated marketing, and product marketing
  • You possess at least 5 years of experience managing high-performing brand and creative teams within a fast-paced, consumer-facing technology company
  • You have successfully established and managed creative production teams, systems, and processes that consistently produce a high volume of social and digital creative each week
  • You have orchestrated the creation of multiple highly successful direct-response TV and radio commercials
  • You stay informed about the best practices and latest trends on all major digital ad platforms
  • You have a robust understanding of consumer go-to-market strategies and have successfully scaled multiple new products through paid marketing
  • You excel in data-driven decision-making and are adept at explaining the effectiveness and incrementally of your brand investments and creative experiments

About the Role 

Ethos is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant with CPA firm experience, public company, or start-up experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with cross functional teams to fully understand Ethos’ business, supporting month end financial close, and helping implement changes to our systems, processes, and controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal company policies 
  • Consistently meet month-end close deadlines for assigned tasks 
  • Support month end/ quarterly / year end operations, AP, cash, credit card management, and support ad hoc projects as needed
  • Perform operational accounting tasks to support overall business including: coding invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, bank accounts and monitoring corporate credit card transactions
  • Develop and maintain documentation of current accounting policies
  • Support other accounting team members by researching accounting issues 
  • Participate in special projects to review and improve control environment and drive efficiencies 
  • Partner with the Finance team to analyze historical results and improve information quality 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2 – 4 years of relevant transactional accounting, industry experience, or audit experience 
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP 
  • Self-starter and self-motivated to work independently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience in working with stakeholders across all levels within cross-functional teams
  • Strong Excel skills (V look ups, Pivot Tables) and ability to work with large data sets 
  • Education: B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • CPA or CPA candidate considered a plus
