ABOUT THE TEAM

The IT Service Specialist is a member of the Information Technology (IT) team within Mural’s Centralized Operations team which includes IT, PMO, Data & Analytics, and Business Strategy Ops. The IT Team is positioned to deliver enterprise class service and support to all Muralistas, following best practices in support, application management, and proactive service management. We value accountability, efficiency, resourcefulness, and going the extra mile as we strive for excellent customer satisfaction. A person in this role will represent and promote our team’s vision to be the go-to team for accelerating Mural’s northstar initiatives.

YOUR MISSION

Your primary responsibility will be servicing a global remote workforce across a variety of hardware and software applications. While managing IT support responsibilities, you will also contribute to the team’s improvement efforts that seek to more quickly resolve issues and minimize problems before they occur. Your efforts will help boost our service levels and customer satisfaction scores.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide proactive and ad-hoc support to resolve issues with computer hardware (mac and pc), applications, and integrations
  • Onboard new Muralistas, ensuring all assets and accounts are set up as needed
  • Manage user access and role settings across the many services we use and ensure all changes are within compliance
  • Enforce compliance policies by actively monitoring statuses and settings
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders on improvement efforts that seek to provide exemplary service to our users
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, empowering users to quickly address questions or problems
  • Take ownership of tasks on projects with technology-related needs, such as integration configurations

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 3+ years technical support and/or customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of PC technical support, systems administration, networking, and Windows and Mac operating systems (Linux a plus)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues
  • Ability to identify and proactively address improvement opportunities
  • Ability to provide remote technical support over chat, phone, and video

Purpose of the Job 

At 6sense, we are looking for a highly skilled Staff Visual Designer who can shape the look and feel of our product portfolio through pragmatic but visually compelling components and pattern design. Job Description :

Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

  • Lead designing a system of UI components and patterns that are aesthetically pleasing, reusable, scalable, and accessible. 
  • Continuously refine the design system over time, considering evolving design trends and business needs. 
  • Work to understand the problems that product designers are solving and ensure the design system can accommodate those needs. 
  • Help determine when new patterns are needed or redirect product teams if an existing pattern is preferred. 
  • Establish a system of design tokens and drive their use to maintain consistency across platforms. 
  • Ensure that design system components adhere to accessibility standards, optimizing inclusivity for all users. 
  • Conduct user research when necessary to validate design choices and iterate based on feedback. 
  • Create component documentation to support team-wide adoption. 
  • Work collaboratively with designers and engineers to develop components through a structured process. 
  • Partner with content writers to ensure consistency in tone, style, and clarity across all design system patterns. 
  • Work with product teams to ensure correct use of design system components, as needed. 
  • Collaborate with engineers to build and test components, ensuring accurate and high-quality implementation. 

Educational and Experience Requirements 

Must have: 

  • Passion for creating beautiful, user-centric designs. 
  • Experience working as an in-house visual designer on one or more enterprise design systems. 
  • Deep understanding of how to continuously refine a design system over time, as needed.  
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma. 

Also, must have a portfolio (can be in the format of the design system itself) that shows: 

  • Proven ability to design UI components and patterns that are reusable and scalable 
  • Use of design tokens to maintain consistency across products 
  • Approach to accessibility.

Competenciesand Behaviors 

  • A clear understanding of front-end engineering.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll work alongside UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to iterate on new features within the GitLab product.
  • You’ll collaborate with teams across the product to help improve the discoverability and adoption of features in their product areas.
  • You’ll communicate your design thinking and ideas through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs.

An overview of this role

Your Role

What you'll do

      • This role will play a vital role in building our presence on social media (with Instagram focus) and will report to the Founder
      • Develop a social media strategy that enhances brand awareness, grows organic reach, and drives engagement.
      • Ideate, develop, and produce social content (text, images, videos) using user-generated content from our library, at a minimum of 3 posts per week
      • Leverage all formats like IG carousels, stories and reels to amplify reach
      • Build relationships with followers, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner, and fostering a strong online community.
      • Keep up with timely trending topics on social media and develop content based off those trends
      • Identify and monitor trends in crafts, arts, pop culture, travel, music, and fashion
      • Identify and engage with influencers, artists, and brand ambassadors to build meaningful partnerships and amplify our reach.
      • Analyze social media metrics and insights for Instagram to inform strategy refinement and optimize performance
      • Work closely with founder to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with broader company goals.

      Here’s what you’ll do day to day:

      • Architect, build, and test Gusto’s product suite the spans across Payroll, Benefits, HR, Time, Tax Credits, and more
      • Mentor other engineers to help solve some of the hardest technical problems out there in very complex domains and at a large scale
      • Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and Javascript/React applications in the world
      • Collaborate with our Product Management and Design teams to understand customer pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch daily
      • Build a product that our customers genuinely love

      Here’s what we’re looking for:

        • Successful applicants typically have 8+ years of software development experience
        • Experience owning multi-quarter projects that solve complex engineering problems and make measurable customer impact at scale
        • Experience building scalable solutions that eliminate customer pain
        • Ability to effectively communicate across engineering teams and with business stakeholders
        • Experience in, or interest working in, Ruby on Rails 
        • Ability to mentor engineers to maximize their performance and impact
        • Experience with large scale refactors, performance and reliability issues, and a strong sense of ownership over all aspects of your product area
        • Passion for creating memorable experiences for customers
        • Appreciation for a collaborative, test-driven environment
        • Able to build well-structured, maintainable, well-documented code
        Nice to haves:
          • Experience with React, GraphQL or Typescript
          • Experience in payment technologies

      Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $164,000/yr to $204,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $199,000/yr to $247,000/yr for San Francisco, New York & Seattle. Stock equity is additional. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.


      Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

      Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

      When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
