NIQ is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer Cybersecurityto join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and managing tools, processes, and procedures to secure cloud applications across multiple platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP. The successful candidate will be proficient in Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP), Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP), and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with teams across geographies and playing a key role in securing cloud infrastructure within a multi-national environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud security technologies, including CWPP, CNAPP, and CSPM solutions, to secure cloud platforms and applications.
• Partner with the application security team to implement security controls aligned with business operations.
• Provide security recommendations for cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS architecture roadmaps, including baseline security controls and hardening requirements.
• Define and enforce security guardrails that protect workloads while maintaining deployment agility.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Center to define monitoring requirements for cloud-based systems and applications.
• Partner with architecture teams on Web Application Firewall (WAF) and API security protection patterns.
• Contribute to the security champions program by providing expertise and training on cloud infrastructure security.
• Assist in design and architecture discussions, ensuring that security is embedded in the design of cloud infrastructure.
• Apply hands-on experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to address security concerns related to containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing CWPP, CNAPP, and CSPM technologies.
• Expertise in cloud technologies, including container technologies, virtualization, and orchestration within multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security tools such as Azure Security Center, Palo Alto Prisma, Wiz, Orca Security, and others.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and industry frameworks (Zero Trust, passwordless authentication, secrets management, etc.).
• Certifications such as AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or GCP certifications are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of addressing complex security challenges with innovative solutions.
• Self-starter with a passion for technology, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated engagement in security conferences, training, and continuous learning is highly desirable.

Job Description

As an Enterprise Solutions Architect Team member you will be asked to work with a variety of accounts where you must lead very skilled engineering staff of our customers. You may also get involved in diving in to help isolate major performance issues and/or provide solutions in mitigating performance problems within large environments. You will work with our product engineering teams to ensure any functional gaps and opportunities for improvement are clearly articulated and managed between our accounts and our engineering team. The Enterprise Solution Architect is a combination of an infrastructure, automation expert, coder, trusted advisor and cloud services authority who will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our monitoring solutions executed through a well-defined, repeatable services engagement model. Our ESA team members perform most of their responsibilities remotely at a home office and will have moderate to minimal travel from time to time.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required or additional 10 years of relevant Information Technology experience accepted in lieu of degree
• 12+ years of real world experience in software and/or solution engineering
• 5+ years experience leading and consulting in large Enterprise/Corporate environments a must

Preferred Requirements

• Prior Experience using Dynatrace or managing APM solutions a major plus
• Solid understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud with at least expertise and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others quickly.
• Solid understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning
• Solid understanding of a Container based solutions using Kubernetes and similar products. Service mesh experience a plus.
• Outstanding communicator and writing skills a must with the ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes.
• Solid understanding of Application and/or Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability

Compensation and rewards:

• The base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $205,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Software Architect with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of GCP services, with a strong emphasis on data warehousing, lakehouses, and related technologies. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design and Strategy:

  - Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architecture on GCP.
  - Create architectural blueprints and technical documentation for infrastructure solutions.
  - Evaluate and implement best practices for data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
  - Ensure architectural designs meet scalability, reliability, security, and performance criteria.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  - Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of GCP services and resources.
  - Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance, leveraging tools such as GCP Cost Management.
  - Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.

• Data Management:

  - Design and implement data warehousing solutions using GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Spanner.

  - Ensure data security and compliance through robust policies and governance frameworks.

• DevOps and Automation:

  - Develop and enforce best practices for version control, branching strategies, and release management.

• Collaboration and Leadership:

  - Conduct architectural reviews and audits to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:

  - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  - Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and cloud solutions.
  - Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, including certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect).

• Technical Skills:

  - Proficient in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Spanner, Pub/Sub, and Dataproc.
  - Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and related technologies.
