Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies and plans to drive the adoption and success of the Longbow Risk Management Platform. 
  • Collaborate with product management to define and refine product positioning, value proposition, and key messages. 
  • Create compelling and differentiated product messaging and positioning that resonates with Veracode customers and prospects. 
  • Develop and deliver high-impact sales enablement materials, including presentations, battle cards, and case studies. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. 
  • Develop deep understanding of customer personas, pain points, and buying behaviors to inform messaging and positioning. 
  • Collaborate with demand generation and digital marketing teams to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and programs. 
  • Work closely with sales team to provide product training, support, and enablement. 
  • Monitor and analyze market and competitive trends to identify opportunities and threats. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the security risk remediation space.
  • Expect travel up to 10-15% of the year.

Key Background

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the cloud security, application security or software industry. 
  • Proven track record of launching products and driving product adoption.
  • Experience presenting at conferences, customer briefings and webinars.
  • Ability to create compelling and impactful messaging through creative storytelling.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships to drive results.

Pay Range Disclosure

About the role

Pay Transparency

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $144,000 - $162,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $129,600 - $170,100 per year. Position Overview:

The Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for our diverse product portfolio. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing, to drive product awareness and education, generate demand, and contribute to the overall growth and success of Roomvo.

Role & Responsibilities:

GTM Activities:

  • Work closely with product management to ensure a clear understanding of products, product roadmap and represent the voice of the customer
  • Develop and execute GTM plans focused on driving company results including launch planning, market research, digital content/collateral creation, ideal customer profile identification, use case research, and sales enablement
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to set, monitor and achieve financial and market objectives
  • Track product usage trends to inform product development, pricing/packaging decisions, content creation and pipeline acceleration collateral

Messaging And Positioning:

  • Leverage your deep understanding of our buyers’ needs and competitive landscape to build a compelling narrative for our products and services
  • Create compelling positioning and messaging frameworks to articulate our unique value propositions and sufficiently differentiate our products in the market
  • Craft product emails , blogs, and other product documentation as required
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Content to define the most effective routes to market, and synthesize market data to support marketing optimization

Enablement:

  • Be the subject matter expert for the core products, developing and delivering customer facing team member enablement resources (pitch decks, product overviews, demo videos, case studies, etc.)
  • Create training documents and train customer facing team members on new features and products
  • Collaborate with demand generation and the rest of the product marketing team to ensure top of funnel success (e.g., demand generation, content marketing, events, webinars, AR/PR)

Skill Set / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field (master's degree is preferred)
  • 3-5+ years working in a product marketing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high comfort level presenting at webinars, conferences and industry events
  • Attention to detail and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into concise buyer-facing language
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute GTM strategies and deliverables such as positioning/messaging, pitch decks, sales playbooks, thought leadership content, social, emails, etc.
  • Critical thinking skills and inquisitive mindset for business and market analysis
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product and customer success teams to support company-wide alignment and ensure flawless execution
  • Motivated and results-oriented
  • Experience with other types of marketing (content, demand gen, partner) or B2B sales is a plus

    • Strong  storyteller, with proven writing and presentation building skills - willing to sweat the details to get the messaging and positioning right
    • Strong project management; able to organize, plan, prioritize, and meet product marketing deadlines
    • Experience working with CRM, Marketing Automation and Sales Enablement systems such as Highspot, Seismic, Salesforce, Hubspot, Allocadia, etc.
    • Knowledge of the insurance / financial services industry is preferred
    • Knowledge of the AI/analytics space is preferred

    The role: 

    As a member of the Product Marketing team at Newsela, you’ll be an expert on the needs and challenges of our district target customers, and you’ll use that expertise to inform our Formative product and go-to-market strategy and position Formative as an essential solution for our customers and prospects. 

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you’ll be responsible for differentiating Formative in the market through buyer and market insights, product requirements, marketing content, and sales enablement efforts. You’ll also partner with colleagues on the Product and Design teams to bring new products and features to market with launch and promotional plans that will resonate with our target audiences. 

    You will: 

    • Gather and synthesize user, buyer, competitor, and market insights and deliver them as product requirements to inform Newsela’s Product roadmap.
    • Own planning and GTM execution for Formative product and feature launches.
    • Develop and maintain product messaging and marketing materials that differentiate Newsela’s assessment solutions in the market among buyers.

    You’ll be part of the Progress product team, reporting to the SVP of Product. You will focus on the File Transfer product portfolio in a strategic role that defines the WHO, the WHY and the HOW of your product(s), acting as the voice of the market and the customer. You will work closely with the product management, demand generation, and sales team in executing a winning GTM strategy selling directly to enterprise organizations and through a global network of resellers and distributors.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:    

    • Develop and lead the managed file transfer GTM strategy working with cross-functional teams to monitor and achieve financial and market share objectives 
    • Develop and demonstrate a solid understanding of the products, market dynamics, market segments, personas, and competitive landscape to execute on an effective GTM strategy 
    • Drive the creation of outstanding content along with crisp messaging linked to a solid content strategy to enable Partner channel, Sales, and Demand Generation  teams in campaign execution 
    • Support other GTM initiatives including channel program support, pricing, promotions, events, webinars, social, blogs, etc. 
    • Execute on enablement programs to support sales (including live training, pitch decks, playbooks, and battlecards)  
    • Drive expansion programs with the Demand Generation team including selecting target segments, crafting compelling messages and CTAs, and presenting on webinars 
    • Collaborate with product management to shape product roadmaps based on market requirements.  
    • Lead product launches and engage with key stakeholders for successful adoption.  
    • Be an overall champion and well-spoken communicator to represent the product line both internally and externally. 
        

    WHAT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO HAVE:    

    • Experience in B2B Product Marketing; extra consideration will be given for candidates with an understanding of IT, CISO and Compliance Officer persona challenges 
    • Experience with on-premise, subscription and SaaS products and understanding of unique business and marketing considerations (pricing, selling strategies, margins). 
    • Experience in how to craft the GTM strategy through persona-driven thinking that covers the buying journey, decision makers, champions, and influencer and how to tailor messaging and content to each. 
    • Understanding of the end-to-end GTM process to support all product launch activities 
    • Proven track record in creating effective GTM and new market strategies.  
    • Ability to analyze and dive deep into the market and competitive landscape to determine best market fit and how to achieve marketing goals. 
    • History of developing effective pitch decks, sales plays, and marketing messaging to support GTM activity 
    • Examples that showcase experience in crafting compelling sales materials and messaging.  
    • Experience acting as key subject matter expert with analysts, customers, partners and internal sales teams 
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills with high comfort level speaking on webinars, conferences, and industry events 
    • Insatiable appetite to drive to business objectives 
    • Self-motivated, inquisitive about the market and emerging trends  
    • An ability to carefully listen to and act on customer feedback and key market indicators 
    • Familiarity with industry best practices for product marketing is a plus (e.g. Forrester Sirius Decisions, Pragmatic Marketing) 
    • Technical understanding of SSH/SSL, PowerShell, and compliance auditing and tracking requirements is a plus 
    • Understanding of direct and 2-tier distribution models a plus
