About the Role:

What you'll be doing:

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Work with cross-functional partners in Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science to understand customer problems, key opportunities in your domain, and define both the long term UX vision and also short term releases that unlock customer value
  • Collaborate with our Research, Data Science, and Customer Support teams to build a holistic understanding of customer needs, and make sure they’re shared with your teams to inform their thinking, build empathy, and inform prioritization decisions
  • Advocate for great UX, inspiring your teams with a strong point of view about what’s possible and aspirational for your product area
  • Hold high standards for the customer experience, including partnering with engineering partners to refine the end customer experience and ensure that what we release is bug free, performant, accessible, and responsive

Our cash compensation range for this role is $139,000/yr to $199,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $179,000/yr to $221,000/yr in Seattle, San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.


Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

THE ROLE

We’re seeking a talented and versatile senior manager for ELA assessment content to join our Assessments team. As a senior manager,  you will contribute to the development of new, innovative K-12 ELA assessments and lead a team of other ELA content creators. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of ELA, particularly early high school ELA, state standards, assessment development best practices, and managing others, and have a passion for teaching and learning. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of ELA content creators and act as a player and coach
  • Contribute to the creation of K-12 assessments, leveraging your subject matter expertise
  • Innovate with new activity types made possible by advances in AI technologies
  • Guide a team in the design of test blueprints and test items, and the maintenance of item banks
  • Ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables
  • Provide guidance on improvements in our content and item management systems
  • Ensure alignment of items with state standards content and with item development best practices
  • Strengthen empathy for learners, especially for learners from historically under-resourced communities, and set up bias mitigation processes in assessment development

  • Liaise with the District Success team to ensure seamless training on and adoption of K-12 assessments in districts

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven ability to lead other content creators in ELA
  • Deep pedagogical expertise and expertise in state and national standards
  • 5+ years classroom experience teaching early high school ELA
  • Experience in K-12 assessment development, including blueprint creation and item development
  • Experience supervising and leading others

As a Staff Product Manager, you will:

  • Own the vision and roadmap for one of Webflow’s core visual development capabilities, Styles, including variables, selectors, and interactions.

- Experience in a B2B SaaS or technology company, particularly within a marketing or digital marketing team. 

- Expertise in content management systems (CMS), website analytics tools, and conversion optimization.

About this team and role:

We are seeking an outstanding Product Manager to lead the Firefox Sync ecosystem of services and drive cross-device and cross-platform growth!  Sync is a service in Firefox that allows users to securely store their browser data and retrieve it across their devices.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background that allows for a deep understanding of Sync services and underlying capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to create user value by leveraging existing services, as well as making intentional investments in new scalable technologies.

What You'll Do:
  • Define and execute a roadmap for Sync services and align product vision with technical capabilities and data-driven insights.
  • Identify and target key user segments, take an investigative approach to understand their unique problems, and drive impact through experimentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in defining goals, and aligning roadmaps, and managing dependencies.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, policy, legal and marketing to define and plan product initiatives, and manage design & implementation.

  • Support internal customers on initiatives that rely on Sync services.

What you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager, working on both user-facing products and back-end services, serving both internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to drive technically focused teams to shipping successful, innovative consumer-facing products from ideation through design, development and implementation
  • Strong ability to integrate data, insights, and customer understanding to identify opportunities, validate strategy, drive execution, and measure impact
  • Ability to drive multiple roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on vision, business goals, and technology
