Classy's Commercial Sales team is seeking an expert Account Executive to work with Mid-Market customers. This segment includes the country's fastest-growing nonprofits and the biggest market opportunity for Classy.org.

You will drive the sales process in a performance-based environment and partner with prospective customers to identify how nonprofits can get the most out of our fundraising platform. We want to talk to you if you are energized by startup life, closing deals, and developing your career.

The Job...

  • Methodically qualify, build, and be responsible for an accurate sales pipeline using a rigorous sales process and leveraging MEDDICC sales qualification methodology. 
  • Responsible to source majority of your own pipeline. 
  • Own the sales process for medium and large new logo customers from first contact, discovery call, to conducting the demo yourself, to ultimately contract negotiation.
  • Artfully deliver web-based presentations, demonstrating strong product knowledge and inside sales standard methodologies.
  • Sell to VP & C-Suite executives and navigate through multiple decision makers to craft compelling events and secure all approvals. 
  • Consistently exceed your quarterly and annual sales quota and be well-compensated for doing so.
  • Become an expert on both the Classy suite of tools and the nonprofit industry, enabling you to have consultative and strategic sales related conversations with prospects.
  • Participate in Classy’s mentorship & sales advocates programs
  • Hosts regional events to generate net new pipeline
  • Represents Classy at industry events
  • Helps manager host team stand-ups and meetings; bring new ideas/strategies and steer productive brainstorming conversations 
  • Responsible for additional lead and pipeline management strategies and efforts 
  • Responsible for piloting changes in process
  • Forecasts quarterly accurately 

You...

  • 3+ years experience of progressive B2B experience on an inside sales team
  • 2+ years experience selling in SaaS, ed-tech, healthcare, or at a non-profit.
  • Experience with and an appetite for outbound pipeline generation and demand generation activities
  • Experience managing a defined territory or book of accounts (all new business)
  • Demonstrates ability to hit increased quota (pipeline production must align) 
  • Pipeline management & sales process expert (Sales Stages)
  • An ambitious spirit who loves to win: Track record of consistently exceeding established goals
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • A love for the startup environment

What you'll accomplish: 

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with others on the team ensuring alignment of company objectives, product vision and customer feedback
  • Develop and articulate compelling value propositions and product positioning, partnering with marketing and sales teams to build awareness and drive demand.
  • Create learning plans to identify and test the biggest hypotheses to drive your KPIs and success metrics; analyze metrics that inform product development and continuous optimization to increase adoption and engagement
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, customer success, shared services teams, analysts and operations, to define product requirements and translate them into actionable development plans, driving innovation and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster ongoing relationships and communications with customers to develop a clear understanding of their goals and challenges to create a product strategy; creating a strong understanding of our customers and become an expert on the nonprofit fundraising market
  • Manage, investigate, prioritize and communicate tasks and issues for completion by engineering team while communicating roadmap and product launches to the rest of Classy
  • Ruthlessly prioritize backlog and work across teams to drive work that delivers value for our customers & experts.
  • Present regularly to the leadership teams on project strategy and deliverables
  • Perform market research, competitive analysis, and establish industry best practices to stay ahead of data-in innovations and trends.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and usage data to identify opportunities for improvements and new feature development.

What you bring (Required): 

  • 7-10+ years designing and delivering world-class software products in a Product Management role or equivalent experience in a technical role such as software development or solution architecture. Proven track record of delivering results that impact critical business metrics. 
  • Domain expertise in one or more platform technologies such as middleware systems, integrations to tools and services, API and platform, containers, data streaming, time-series, or complex event processing.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and passion in learning and understanding technology & software especially around data intelligence, analytics, and omnichannel / marketing solutions
  • Technically savvy with experience working with developers and architects to build scalable and highly reliant systems
  • You bring a customer centric mindset. Excitement to translate users’ needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and an understanding of the Classy landscape.
  • Ability to comfortably analyze large data sets and ask the right data questions in order to hone your ideas and deliver features which have a high degree of ambiguity
  • Capable of decomposing a big vision into bite-size milestones.
  • Energized by working across multiple functions. Strong partnership and influence skill - driving prioritization and feature requirements to capabilities teams.
  • Experience in leading, scaling and optimizing a growing software platform.
  • Ability to dive deep with engineers to make technical tradeoff decisions and summarize it all for non-technical stakeholders and executives.

Classy is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Solutions Engineer! In this role, you’ll be serving as a product expert and technical resource for Classy’s most strategic and complex potential and current nonprofit customers.   • Develop a deep understanding of Classy's platform, features, and capabilities.
  • Effectively translate customer needs into innovative solutions using the Classy platform and our technology partners
  • Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers as well as product team members to support sales activities.
  • Participate in all aspects of the sales evaluation process to provide expertise in addressing challenges and providing technical solutions. 
  • Be a strategic owner in technical presentations and demonstrations: conduct engaging and impactful presentations that showcase the platform's features and benefits in an effort to effectively address customer requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between nonprofits and the product team, facilitating effective communication and feedback. Provide valuable insights to inform the product roadmap, advise on feature enhancements, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and standard methodologies in the nonprofit tech space. Share knowledge and insights with the team to enhance their skills and capabilities.

You… 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of SaaS platforms and APIs, most notably the Salesforce ecosystem and other nonprofit tech software and integrations. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The expected US salary range for this position is $158,000 - $214,000, which may include potential sales incentive payments, + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
