We are looking for a Head of Product to join our team and lead our next phase of product development. The role will interface directly with our users - senior sales leaders and their managers - and work cross-functionally with engineering, sales and marketing while reporting into the CEO. The startup environment will place a lot of demands on this role from strategic thinking to tactical execution, while working in an agile environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the founding team that has validated a new product category gaining traction. We have successfully experimented with a trial motion to improve customer acquisition this year and believe based on the fast time to value and low effort setup, the product can and should be moved to be truly product-led asap.


Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Manage the product roadmap and the supporting product releases/milestones
  • Engage with customers and prospects for user research including the formulation and testing of customer-problem-product hypotheses
  • Maintain a high-quality product backlog by facilitating the process of breaking down larger projects/features into smaller user stories
  • Bring the voice of the user into product discussions which is informed by user research and qualitative analysis
  • Partner closely with UX design in user research/discovery and design
  • Team closely with engineers so iterations are executed efficiently and with high quality which includes working through story requirements/designs and performing acceptance testing
  • Manage product communications and maintain product documentation
  • Partner with the sales and account management teams in pre-sales and post-sales as both a functional and technical expert of product capabilities
  • Ensure cross-functional teams from sales, customer success, and support are fully aware of product releases and are enabled to be successful

Key Performance Measures

  • Roadmap is maintained on a monthly cadence
  • Ability to maintain target depth of ready backlog (e.g. 2 iterations)
  • Quality of user research and user stories
  • Maintain performance of user metrics for utilization, retention, and satisfaction

Requirements and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or owner in an agile environment
  • Experience with modern SaaS products
  • Experience and passion for user research and UX
  • Proven ability to influence people internally and externally to drive outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business and technical aptitude
  • Very detail-oriented and organized

    • Consistently deliver thorough campaign and creative QA and troubleshooting services for ad-hoc internal and client tagging, tracking, and reporting issues.
    • Become the expert on our internal site specs and product offerings.
    • Translate client requirements into technical solutions and requirements and vice versa.
    • Collaborate with multiple departments such as Project Managers and Designers to execute and monitor all custom elements per campaign.
    • Reconcile billable media for all activations across platforms.
    • Provide process improvements and recommendation; translate business strategy and requirements into operational requirements; keep detailed documentation on various processes for team development.

    SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:

    • Being able to efficiently deliver campaigns on their goals without wasting impressions unnecessarily.
    • Forging a positive and communicative working relationship with internal teams (mainly account and media strategists, as well as client success and project managers and paid social).
    • Becoming a reliable resource and go-to person for less experienced campaign managers and account strategists

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Business-minded with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • 1+ years of experience trafficking ads in GAM at a digital publisher

    Educational and Experience Requirements

    • Proven experience creating UX copy for B2B software.
    • Strong portfolio showing examples of UX Writing projects you’ve worked on.
    • Experience leading content development for project teams and mentoring Product Managers and Designers on content strategy best practices.
    • Experience collaborating with designers in Figma.
    • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and the ability to submit UI text changes using version control software (GitHub, GitLab, etc.).

    • 8+ years’ Product Design experience, majority in-house. 
    • Ideally you’ve worked on enabling simple, easy to use experiences in complex domains like payroll, benefits, finance or banking, etc. Bonus if you have direct experience working on tax and/or accounting products.
    • A proven track record of designing great UX for complex workflows and crafting end-to-end experience visions and frameworks, while showcasing an iterative approach toward execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understanding of CX methodologies particularly related to content.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
    • Familiarity with conversational AI platforms (e.g., chatbots, virtual assistants, NLP models).
    • Experience with metrics and KPIs to evaluate customer interactions or system performance.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

    The Role

    We are seeking a passionate UX Researcher (Mixed Methods) to join our expanding design team in Athens, Greece. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will play a vital role in helping Plum create intuitive, user-centred financial products. By utilising both qualitative and quantitative research methods, you will gather insights that inform our product design and ensure our solutions align with user needs and business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify Key Challenges: The ability to inspire creative thinking by collaborating with designers and stakeholders to uncover unmet user needs and pain points
    • Frame Research Questions: The ability to define key research questions that guide and motivate you and your team to pursue meaningful insights
    • Explore User Problems: The ability to formulate hypotheses and use both qualitative and quantitative methods to gather, analyse, and synthesise data from diverse perspectives
    • Make Insights Tangible: The ability to “prototype to learn”, creating and using research artefacts such as journey maps, personas, or mock data to test and validate hypotheses
    • Iterate and Learn: The ability to gather, interpret, and apply feedback from research activities to continuously refine understanding and insights
    • Craft Insightful Narratives: The ability to create compelling stories that clearly explain research findings and support effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in UX research with a strong portfolio of case studies showcasing your work
    • Experience with design methods and the ability to collaborate with designers to translate insights into actionable designs
    • A solid understanding of the end-to-end research work, including but not limited to, qualitative methods such as interviews, usability testing, and diary studies and quantitative methods such as surveys, A/B testing, and statistical analysis
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear and actionable insights
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience in financial services or fintech is a plus but not required
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, or a related field is preferred
