What you’ll do 

We are seeking a Director of Product Analytics to lead and mentor a team of talented analysts supporting StockX’s Product team, to develop actionable insights and drive impact via improving our website and app experiences.  This analytics team uses data to report on product performance.  It uses experimentation and modeling to improve product performance via more effective user acquisition, retention, and monetization. The Director:

  • Sets the vision and direction of this analytics team, within the larger vision / framework set by the Sr. Director, Analytics

  • Collaborates with Data Engineering to ensure it produces the data Product Analytics needs

  • Uses descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, including experimentation (A/B testing mostly), to develop actionable insights

  • Manages Product Analytics team by creating team roadmap, prioritizing project requests, assigning projects to ICs, tracking project progress, signing off on team deliverables, and carrying out project retrospectives
  • Manages, motivates, mentors, and evaluates performance of the individual contributors on the team
  • Uses statistics / experimentation skillsets to uplevel and maintain the team’s methodological rigor

About you

  • Strong background in product analytics / data science.  Proven experience managing at least a small team
  • PhD level understanding of statistics (PhD degree strongly preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in experimentation (A/B testing mostly; experience with geo-randomized experiments and quasi-experimental methods a strong plus)
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Nice to have skills 

  • Strong background in customer and marketing data science (experience with geo-randomized experiments and quasi-experimental methods, particularly to estimate incrementality of brand marketing in traditional media, a strong plus)

About the role:

This hands-on security engineering position will be part of StockX's Information Security Cloud & Application Engineering team, leading efforts to enhance the security of software development practices. About you

  • 3 years in a technical IT security role
  • GIAC, GSEC, OSCP or other security certifications preferred
  • Experience with web application security, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with SecDevOps and CI/CD best practices
  • Knowledge of cloud security, including AWS
  • Knowledge of container security, including Docker or Kubernetes

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. state sales and use tax returns
  • Monitoring state and local tax legislation for changes relevant to StockX, researching and driving implementation of any relevant changes
  • Support quarterly and annual financial statement processes including account reconciliations
  • Preparing for and leading state and local sales and use tax audits
  • Interact directly with internal business units to advise on the state and local tax implications of new business initiatives

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. sales and use tax, previous public accounting experience a plus
  • Avalara experience required, ideally with both the engine functionality and tax reporting module; Vertex (or other tax engine software) experience is a plus 
  • Practical experience working with a tax engine (e.g. researching and picking product tax codes)
  • Experience working with the tax accounting aspects of sales tax (e.g. account reconciliations and documenting uncertain tax positions)
  • A degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license preferred
  • A deep understanding of multi-state sales and use tax regulations
  • Solid reasoning and judgment skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong capabilities in VLookups and pivot tables

What you'll do

  • Be responsible for the preparation and submission of indirect tax filings for the European, Asia Pacific and North American regions leveraging the assistance of internal and external resources.
  • Be responsible for the tax accounts reconciliation to make sure accurate representation of the tax liability/asset in the Financial Statements.
  • Research and analyze international indirect tax issues for the new business initiatives outlining VAT/GST impacts, tax requirements, and recommendations, including cross team coordination. 
  • Assist with implementation of indirect tax strategies and projects.
  • Build relationships with team members across StockX to ensure the Tax team is effectively partnering with various internal teams.

  • 4+ years of relevant tax experience in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm.

We’re looking for a Vice President to lead our Tax Team and their global corporate tax efforts. The VP of Global Tax will be responsible for overseeing StockX’s global tax compliance, planning, structuring and reporting. What you'll do

  • Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and lead and grow StockX’s existing global Tax team
  • Develop and manage global tax functions, including all tax planning, structuring, accounting, reporting and compliance activities
  • Build relationships with team members across StockX to ensure the Tax team is effectively partnering with our various teams
  • Provide tax guidance, advice and risk management support for StockX’s growth strategy
  • Prepare or review and conclude on analysis of complex issues, including tax accounting issues, with significant impact to StockX
  • Responsible for reviewing and signing-off on all quarterly and annual tax accounting for financial and SEC reporting purposes, including balance sheet reconciliations, tax provisions, sales tax adjustments, and footnote disclosures
  • Present quarterly updates on compliance, reporting and strategic planning to the Audit Committee
  • Oversee federal, state and international income tax reporting and compliance functions including audit support 
  • Responsible for all indirect tax compliance and audits (sales tax, VAT and customs & duties), including evaluating the financial, system, and operational considerations for compliance obligations; includes close partnership with StockX’s custom’s compliance organization
  • Remain current on global tax legislative developments and related implications to provide financial, risk, and operational advice to management on any impacts to StockX
  • Partner with internal and external teams on all M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts and related tax planning
  • Implement and oversee all internal SOX controls for corporate taxes
  • Create a development program for the StockX tax team, providing opportunities for the team to expand their knowledge and expertise in key areas
  • Partner with external advisors to develop and maintain optimal global tax structures

About you

  • 15+ years of experience in global corporate tax including previous public accounting experience and leadership experience in a public company setting
  • Degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license expected
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting rules and pronouncements
  • Direct experience with compliance (e.g. reviewing returns/provisions)
  • Strong and effective communications skills, including the ability to synthesize complex tax issues and be able to communicate them clearly and succinctly to all levels

  • Responsible for reviewing transfer pricing policies and documentation.

  • Assist or manage other ad hoc/special projects (e.g. Section 382 study, nexus study, M&A, sales/use/withholding tax, review business contracts, etc.) as needed.

About you

  • 12+ years of relevant tax experience in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm.

What you'll do

  • “Triage” customs and trade issues that have arisen the evening before, during the day, prioritize tasks and complete
  • Be the lead for intra company global shipments 
  • Take ownership of auditing import and export Customs declarations, Tariff Codes, Incoterms, etc. and following related record keeping processes
  • Work closely with the sites, team members, freight forwarders, and Customs Brokers to correct any anomalies to minimize import/export shipment delays due to Customs compliance issues, including possible training
  • Ability to review the product catalog to identify and action any possible Customs compliance constraints
  • Monitor cost-effectiveness and performance metrics, established with the Customs team, of freight forwarders and Customs brokers
  • Advise any deficiencies, make Customs training recommendations when gaps are discovered, and identify areas for structural, organizational, and process improvement within our organization.
  • With the direction and support of the North American Customs Compliance Manager and Director of Global Trade & Compliance, support the development of the global Customs program and all related policies/procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations across the StockX global network.
  • Documenting potential Customs issues and being able to communicate with your leader, team members, Operations, Finance, and other parties as deemed relevant
  • Providing monthly reporting of internal Customs audits of Customs clearance reports and annual recurrent site audit reviews
  • Establish transparency and maintain urgency in meeting monthly goals
  • Identify opportunities to continue to build the efficiency of the Customs team
  • Occasional travel to StockX regional facilities or, if applicable, StockX headquarters (Detroit, Michigan, USA)

  • Ability to quickly analyze logs and configurations using; Python, JQ, cURL, etc.
  • Integrate application security tooling within the existing CI/CD environment to improve application security.

About you

  • 4-7 years of relevant security experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Cyber security certifications preferred e.g. CISSP, CISM, Security +, AWS Security
  • Strong experience with cloud native environments and with multiple cloud services providers
  • Experience with scripting across multiple cloud providers and infrastructure APIs to analyze security posture and configurations.
  • Detailed understanding of cloud and network security
  • Experience reading other engineer’s code across a number of languages to identify security issues.
  • Understanding of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns: containers, Kubernetes, serverless, infrastructure as code, etc.
  • Experience with OAuth/SAML techniques and OIDC
  • Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management security controls and tooling
  • Strong understanding of securing distributed cloud and on-premesis networks using security groups, network ACLs, VPNs, and WAFs among other technologies
  • Strong understanding of security monitoring tools for cloud environments such as CSPM, CASB, cloud audit logs such as AWS Cloudtrail, etc
  • Strong understanding of application security tools such as Snyk, Sonarcloud, Dependabot or Renovate, GitGuardian, etc 
  • Technical understanding of how threats like Spam, Phishing, DDoS Attacks, Brute Force Attacks, SQL Injections, XSS are executed and how to protect against them across an organization.

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $140,000 to $160,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
