Primary Role

Responsible for project management, engineering design, bidding, and construction management on Pipeline projects relating to various aspects of the business. Responsibilities may also include the technical supervision over consulting project engineers, technicians, CAD technicians and/or Construction Inspectors.
 

Key Accountabilities

·         Prepare technical, bidding and contractual documents associated with delivery of capital investment projects. 

·         Establish project budgets and scope. 

·         Manage multiple projects and perform varied engineering assignments associated with planning, design or construction. 

·         Ensure scope and quality of work achieve the intent of all Design Concepts and Company standards for capacity, performance, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance. 

·         Develops technical information and concepts into feasible and effective engineering approaches. 

·         Provide technical expertise on engineering and operational issues. 

·         Supervises field and contract personnel to ensure timely completion of assignments, within budget and adherence to standards. 

·         Support the pre-qualification and selection of consulting and construction organizations for projects using negotiation or competitive selection processes. 

Knowledge/Skills

·         Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design theory and practice, project management, construction and contract management, water resources, water/wastewater facilities and utility operations.

·         Knowledge of current trends in water quality and treatment and other aspects of the regulated and non-regulated water industry.

·         General understanding of US regulations (commercial and environmental), legislation and trends impacting the water industry.

·         Process, project and program management skills.

·         Sound business acumen and judgment.

·         Fluency in report writing and presentations.

·         Effective people management (e.g., planning, organizing, controlling and leading teams).

·         Interpersonal skills (e.g., persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting).

Experience/Education

·         Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in water resources design, construction, and/or project management.

·         Engineering Bachelor’s Degree.

·         Engineering Master’s Degree preferred. 

Certifications & Licenses

·         Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly preferred.

Work Environment

·         Primarily office with occasional local / overnight work in the field.  

·         Up to 2 days work from home permitted per week.
 

Travel Requirements

·         Up to 20%

  3. Develop and drive standards to ensure quality standards are met throughout the stack
  4. Help your teams understand product vision and walk in the clinician’s shoes, delivering features that make experiences with CareAbout Health programs seamless, effective, and efficient
  5. Work closely with your peers on the leadership team to define and communicate the company's direction, and to help tackle the company's biggest problems
  6. Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics to maintain operational efficiency for the engineering teams
  7. Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution
  8. Recommend new technology and ideas to improve development life cycle
  9. Define optimal engineering organization structure to support growth and development while promoting delivery flexibility of the group

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience as a technology leader, with 8 years of experience in an engineering management role.
  2. Track record of attracting, hiring, managing, developing, and aligning an Engineering department including managing through engineering managers and directors.
  3. Experience partnering with product leadership to deliver increasing stakeholder value while not directly controlling the work of the engineering teams.
  4. Consistent track record of working across team boundaries to deliver fabulous user experiences across the full stack.
  5. Can build, deliver, and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap that supports the company vision and product roadmap.
  6. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  7. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  8. Strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
  9. Commitment to results; is focused and results driven.
  10. Action oriented and innovative; able to translate broad goals into achievable steps.
  11. A commitment to quality that incorporates not only the immediate requirements of a result to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and function flawlessly.
