XE is seeking a senior backend developer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, the senior backend developer will contribute to building our world-class money transfer product focusing on corporate users. Our platform uses C# .NET, Vue.js, Amazon Web Services (AWS), GitHub CI/CD, and the latest open-source testing frameworks.

Xe’s Global Risk and Compliance team is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our Global Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as a Senior FIU Analyst. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding the global financial system and Xe group by detecting and analysing unusual activity using financial intelligence systems and procedures to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes. Reporting to the Head of Compliance – Australia, this role will work with a geographically diverse team of FIU specialists and have a focus primarily on our APAC operations. You will be utilizing a variety of interconnected tools and technologies, as well as your strong ability to assess risk for the detection, analysis and response to potentially harmful or anomalous activity. You will be responsible for ensuring all reporting obligations under the AML/CTF legislation in Australia and New Zealand are completed within the required timeframe and check automated reporting for any system failures or rejections and resubmit as appropriate.

• Your mission will include executing and supporting the further development of the post-transaction monitoring, analysis and reporting program. This role will include the performance of the following tasks:
• A hands-on professional, the Compliance FIU Analyst performs AML/CTF and fraud investigations to support the timely and thorough preparation of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) for submission to AUSTRAC.
• Provides quantitative and qualitative feedback on the transaction monitoring program, conducting post-transactional analysis, special investigations and drafting of SMRs.
• Provides high-quality written reporting of investigative analysis, findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Produce data visualization dashboards and metrics to illustrate trends and patterns in customer transactions and behaviour.
• Continuously identifies emerging typologies and risk indicators to inform and optimize the transaction monitoring program.
• Ensure timely resolution of partner Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Identifies and recommends new leads and trends for potential investigations.
• Proactively identifies and communicates opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiencies.

• Great Attention to Detail: Conduct Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence for new corporate and consumer relationships
• Strong Investigative Skills: Complete ongoing monitoring of customer relationships on the back of trigger events or through their regular review cycle. Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and evaluate whether they are unusual or suspicious
• PEP & Sanctions Screening: Review PEP and Sanction screening referrals for clients and beneficiaries at registration and transactional level in line with Xe’s policy
• Analytical & Trends: Analyze transaction data and fraud metrics to determine trends and indicators which may assist in detecting and preventing online fraud
• Operational Compliance: Remain up to date on Xe’s core business activities and assist in the analysis of proposed business initiatives from a compliance operations perspective
• Provide day to day compliance operations assistance and support to wider teams within Xe
• Act as a contact and reference point for Compliance Operations Analysts e.g. handling escalated queries
• Conduct training for new starters and analysts on an ongoing basis
• Provide walkthroughs of systems to internal and external stakeholders
• Quality Control: Conduct Quality Control checks on Compliance Operations Analysts to ensure Xe maintains consistency and accuracy whilst striving for continuous improvement of the compliance operations function

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Passionate about Compliance: At least 3 years’ experience gained working within a similar role within the FX/Payments industry or within a similar regulated organization
• Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
• Prioritization & Organization: Strong organizational skills to enable identification of required tasks and deadlines and planning and prioritization of these tasks in an appropriate manner
• Customer focused: Client-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellence

As the Growth Manager, what you'll do:

What you'll do

• Act as a brand ambassador and manage multiple vacancies across various Corporate Functions at Xe, which is focused on delivering a world-class candidate experience, enabling the business to hire the very best talent in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Partner and consult with hiring managers to support their current and future hiring needs whilst building their capability to interview and assess potential hires
• Facilitate vacancy requirement briefings with hiring managers to enable the building of effective job descriptions and candidate profiles
• Identify the most suitable recruitment methods for each vacancy (e.g. head-hunting, LinkedIn search, direct advertising, job-boards and/or agencies)
• Actively look to identify new ways to improve our recruitment and selection tools and systems, which may include building relationships with third parties
• Conduct candidate screening for short-listing (e.g. phone interviews and face to face interviews)
• Talent mapping, benchmarking and pipeline management, whilst regularly updating hiring managers and Head of Talent Acquisition on progress with vacancies and flagging risks
• For selected senior appointments, perform external talent mapping / research and approach target candidates (headhunting)
• Drive the offer management process, including negotiating and closing candidates and completion of pre-employment screening
• Collaborate with the People teamand hiring managers to co-ordinate new starter inductions and other cross-functional requests
• In conjunction with the People Systems Analyst, produces reporting to measure the performance of recruitment activities (e.g. cost per hire, time per hire, direct/agency cost spend, effectiveness of sourcing channels)

Who you are:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on sourcing, screening, and closing candidates for various roles 
• Proficiency in Human Resources systems, eg: Workable, Jobvite, Oracle, HiBob, ADP 
• Expert level with recruitment sourcing software:LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.  
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks 
• Excellent communication
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field
