What you'll be doing:

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be a key facilitator in ensuring the successful delivery of complex software products and solutions within an Agile framework. The Program Control Analyst (PCA) plays a critical role in the accounting and finance team while gaining a broad understanding of organizational operations. The PCA will exercise independent judgment on project budgeting, financial forecasting, revenue recognition, and dynamic management reporting on government contracts. In this position, the PCA will support the operations of a growth business with fast-paced projects. The PCA oversees the finances for various types of contracts and is integral to effective financial reporting. 

What you'll be doing:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Evaluate variance and performance analyses of financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) and effectively present findings to project management
  • Assist in the monthly closing process, particularly surrounding revenue recognition on projects and generating revenue adjustments as needed
  • Utilize the Cognos tool in Unanet and MS Excel to create custom and ad-hoc reports to inform management decision making
  • Collaborate directly with project managers to help them understand their financial performance and areas of improvement in their groups and projects

Project Financial Management:

  • Review and complete timely and accurate project monthly revenue recognition procedures, in accordance with GAAP.

  • Ensure timely invoice processing; work with billing specialist to review and approve client invoices, follow up on collections and analyze unbilled WIP

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join a highly motivated and efficient team to support our rapidly growing business as a government contractor. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a primary focus on government contracts. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance in the government contracting sector.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable function to include vendor invoices, employee expense reimbursements and business credit cards; ensuring proper coding of expenses
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliations of the Liability accounts including accruals and journal entries
  • Assist with the on-going Unanet ERP system application augmentation
  • Cross-trained to be the backup person for Accounts Receivable and Project setup
  • Assist with month end close, audits and other tasks as needed
  • Support the Controller and Finance Director in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Key responsibilities: 

  • Review, code, process and record vendor (including subcontractors, business credit cards and Divvy card transactions) invoices accurately and timely. Research and resolve discrepancies 
  • Update cashflow projection and process vendor payments weekly 
  • Maintain vendor accounts to include set up new vendors, verify vendor 1099 status, and obtain W9’s
  • Prepare 1099 worksheets and file annual 1099 forms
  • Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns when applicable
  • Implement Purchase Orders module and maintain PO systems
  • Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure accuracy of cost allocations and compliance with Company’s policies and procedures and government contract requirements
  • Oversee cost allocation methodologies to ensure compliance with government contract requirements
  • Analyze direct and indirect costs to ensure proper allocation and reimbursement
  • Develop effective positive working relationships with both internal and external customers. Work with project managers on subcontractor invoices and provide assistance and training to employees who need help with expense reports
  • Reconcile liability accounts such as accrued wages, accrued subcontractor, accrued expense report liability and prepare journal entries. Resolve reconciling items in a timely manner 
  • Backup person for preparing and submitting customer billings and setting up/updating projects and people assignments
  • Assist with on-going Unanet application augmentation, month end close, audits and other tasks as needed

  • Minimum 5 years of government contracting experience

What you'll be doing:

Working hand in hand with our management and growth teams to oversee all things pertinent to the successful oversight, submission and partnership management of federal bids and contracts. This is a subject matter expert on an incredibly important vertical at Oddball. This role will play a major part in our growth in the federal space. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop effective positive working relationships with both internal and external customers; participate in customer meetings as required
  • Support pre-and post-award teaming activity, including NDAs and teaming agreements
  • Manage all required contract reporting, working cross-functionally for timely submission
  • Provide guidance and oversight, and work with client representatives to resolve operational and contractual issues that may arise during the performance of the contract, with a focus on mitigating risk while meeting the customer’s needs

What you'll be doing:

The EVM Specialist is responsible for measuring project performance and progress by combining project measurements of scope, time, and costs. The EVM Specialist will coordinate with the PM, Deputy PM/Operations and PMO managers to accurately create and maintain EVM performance metrics and reporting for short-term and long-term project/tasks. The EVM Specialist will also monitor financial and/or administrative aspects of assigned Contracts and deliverables, track and validate all client financial information, establish and maintain master Contract files, prepare and monitor status of all deliverables, track the value of Contracts, and provide day-to-day support of Risk Management and Action Item tracking.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience with program management of one or more complex software application development efforts
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience of program management tools and techniques including Earned Value Management, program and project planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of financial statements, development of integrated project schedules, using cost-accounting and labor-reporting systems, working knowledge of Contract and Subcontract management
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and project management tools
