The Solutions Engineer is a creative thinker that acts as the "Liaison” between Sales, Product, Marketing and our customers by identifying and removing any potential roadblocks early in the sales process while creating detailed specifications agreed upon by both Egnyte and the client. You’ll manage customer pilots, prospect demonstrations and POCs, including hands-on installation and configuration of Egnyte and third-party products. You’ll develop deep knowledge of the Egnyte platform, competition, integrations and our customers.     


WHAT YOU’LL DO:      

  • Understand our customers’ businesses and challenge their ideas of the status quo
  • Be the technical lead in customer engagements in partnership with the sales team to gain technical fit through a consultative sales approach
  • Proactively identify and address customer's technical needs and objections to drive sales
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and solution proposals by matching specific client business requirements into effective technical solutions, with a focus on Egnyte’s products and services
  • Maintain high level knowledge of technical strengths and weaknesses of the competitor's products and what strategy Egnyte should develop to counter
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all Egnyte products/services, competitive product lines and platform integrations through self-education and Egnyte’s enablement resources
  • Perform technical benefits assessment for customers by gaining detailed understanding of their environment
  • Lead RFI, RFP and Security Questionnaire response completions
  • Travel to customer sites, Egnyte internal meetings and trade show/conferences, if needed


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • 3+ years of Sales Engineering experience, ideally with SaaS company with a focus on file systems, data/content management, or data security/governance technologies
  • Curiosity about technology, and passion to both learn and share with peers and customers
  • Ability to work with all levels of customer roles up to and including the CIO, CTO and CISO
  • Strong people orientation with the ability to listen, work, resolve and prioritize issues to achieve customer satisfaction, using time management
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to sell effectively in front of a mixed technical and non-technical audience
  • Ability to flexible and quickly assess the critical elements of a situation and decide and execute appropriate action
  • Strong experience with process-centric solution selling (aka consultative- or value-selling)
  • Appreciation of and experience with the entire sales cycle including pre-sales, deployment, customer success and retention is preferred


COMPENSATION:     

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $100k-120k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. Your Qualifications

Strong technical skills that cover four or more of the following areas:

Software Installation and troubleshooting skills

Data and Permission migration tools

Virtualization experience (VMWare, Hyper-V)

Windows/Linux Server operating systems

Execute and monitor scripts (python, SQL, PowerShell)

Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO

Prior experience supporting Enterprise software or supporting Enterprise applications in technical capacity for a SaaS environment.

What You’ll Do

Execute data migration project implementation to ensure successful customer deployment and adoption of Egnyte solutions

  • Drive Egnyte revenue growth via efficient and effective Salesforce-Egnyte co-sell GTM planning, promoting Egnyte solutions on Salesforce both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with Salesforce sales teams (AE, RVP, SE) to support industry solutions for Financial Services sales motions and field selling.
  • Collaborate with our strategic partner Salesforce and Egnyte's field sellers, to create, facilitate, and orchestrate joint co-sell opportunities that drive incremental Egnyte revenue.
  • Track opportunity progress, report on business results, and regularly participate in account and pipeline review calls.
  • Prepare and provide business reviews to stakeholders and management teams.
  • Create and execute operational rigor, including partner management, account management, and business reviews (internal/external).

COMPENSATION:

The Partner Development Manager is an experienced channel sales professional responsible for implementing and building and growing indirect and influence sales in their designated region, with the primary goal of sales acceleration through pipeline generation with partners. The PDM will build credibility and trust to drive partner wallet-share in Egnyte. The role involves execution of all aspects of channel management including partner recruitment, enablement, strategic partner planning, on-going partner management, and co-selling into end-customer organizations with resellers and/or influence partners. The PDM will be a primary contact for territory channel partners and will be responsible for managing the overall corporate relationship with those partners.  

   

The PDM will also need to build trust,credibilityand relevance with reseller and Egnyte sales teams. Therefore, experience in customer sales to coach partners in selling Egnyte technology would be helpful. By extension, driving strategic alignment between our Egnyte direct sales teams and will be a critical success factor. This will require working with Egnyte Sales Managers to develop and evangelize the regional channel plan that accelerates the regions overall sales performance.  

   

   

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

  • Act as overall quarterback for the reseller business within the region – driving a comprehensive territory plan that identifies go-to partnerswithin each territory covering all Egnyte technology specializations, engaging Egnyte specialists as needed to build partnercompetency.
  • Create a strong partner eco-system in your territory by identifying and onboarding newpartners.
  • Develop and grow new and existing Egnyte channel partners to increase pipeline and revenuecontribution.
  • Develop, drive, and execute strategic partner sales plans with partnerleadership.
  • Build strong relationships across key partner stakeholders to strengthen the partnership.
  • Develop and execute partner marketing campaigns working closely with Partner Marketing to drive incrementalrevenue.
  • Present Egnyte solutions at partner events
  • Work cross-functionally within Egnyte key stakeholders and build a “one-team” attitude with all extendedstakeholders.
  • Build capacity, capability, and collaboration within a portfolio of Partners to achieve loyalty andtransformation.

COMPENSATION:  

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $94,500k - $168,000k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
  • Commission $135k-$240k OTE

ABOUT THE ROLE

We storemultibillionfiles and multiple petabytes of data. We observe more than 11K API requests per second on average. To make that possible and to provide the best possible experience, we rely on great engineers. For us, people who own their work, from start to finish, are integral. Our engineers are part of the process from design to code, to test, to deployment and back again for further iterations. You can, and will, touch every level of the infrastructure depending on the day and what project you are working on. The ideal candidate should be able to take a complex problem and execute end to end. Mentor and set higher standards for the rest of the team and for the new hires.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
  • Build, scale, and administer a large fleet of MySQL servers spread over multiple data centers with a focus on performance, scale, and high availability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot critical performance bottlenecks for MySQL databases before it causes downtime.
  • Review and assess the impact of database schema design, topology changes prior to their implementation
  • Ensure that databases are secured, maintained, backed up, and highly available.
  • Review stress testing results and provide recommendations to development teams
  • Automate anomaly detection to surface databases with failures, IOPS, deadlocks, and other failure reasons.
  • Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administrative functions
 
You’ll stand out if you have the following: 
  • Experience in other distributed systems like Redis, Memcached, Postgres, MongoDB.
  • Experience in managing a large fleet of database servers.
  • Knowledge of HA and scalability issues with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge about cloud providers (Google Cloud and/or Azure)
 
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 4+ Years of relevant industry work experience
  • Understanding of MySQL’s (8.0+) underlying storage engines like InnoDB
  • Knowledge of Performance and scalability issues with MySQL and how to overcome them.
  • Strong experience with MySQL HA using Orchestrator/ProxySQL/Consul/Pacemaker
  • Good understanding of monitoring requirements
  • Experience in administering Linux-based systems
  • Experience with configuration management like Puppet/Ansible.
  • Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
  • Strong automation experience with at least 1 language ‘Python/Ruby/Perl/Go’ and ‘SQL’ scripting
  • Analytical skills necessary to perform troubleshooting of errors and performance issues on a large array of MySQL cluster spread over multiple data centers.
  • Self-taught and enthused to grow your skill set with new technologies as the industry continues to evolve.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop tools to measure and monitor performance bottlenecks within web applications.
  • Triage reported performance issues andcreatereproducible test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Production and Application Engineering teams to design and execute production scenarios for code and third-party performance assessment.
  • Develop and run PSR (Performance, Scalability, Reliability) tests, and measure relevant performance statistics.
  • Work with various sub-teams to ensure that SLAs for core APIs are tracked and maintained across releases.
  • Conduct application and architecture code profiling to identify performance issues.
  • Perform infrastructure and application performance tuning to optimize overall system performance.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, identifying and resolving root causes.
  • Analyze large volumes of performance data to diagnose and solve performance problems.
  • Perform capacity estimation, modeling, and planning to ensure scalability and reliability.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer scienceor a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance engineering.
  • Expert knowledge and strong experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner and JMeter, along with a deep understanding of APM solutions such as Grafana, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.
  • Hands-on experience with microservice architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GCP, and application monitoring tools.
  • Strong expertise in monitoring and analyzing application logs, database reports, and system metrics (e.g., CPU utilization, memory usage, network usage, garbage collection, and database parameters).
  • Proven ability to identify potential performance issues and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Proficiency in JVM technology with strong JVM troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in debugging large-scale applications in production environments.
  • Expertise in JVM profiling, garbage collection (GC) analysis, and tuning.
  • Extensive experience with performance, load, stress, and scalability testing.
