YOUR ROLE

As a key member of the EMEA Sales Team, you will be a key player in helping us scale our business and rolling out Shift Technology solutions to new clients in the United Kingdom.

Your role will focus on establishing and expanding the company’s customer-based across the UK, thus managing C-level relationships within the region's P&C & Health insurance ecosystem.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Representing Shift in the United Kingdom and Ireland;
  • Developing and implementing strategic territory plan to ensure Shift exceeds its revenue objectives
  • Identifying and exploiting new opportunities and the right customer stakeholders;
  • Managing C-level relationships within the country's insurance ecosystem (federations, associations, clients, prospects, partners);
  • Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges;
  • Working on and submitting proposals and contracts to customers.

 

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU

  • Have at least 8 years of successful experience selling large, complex enterprise-grade solutions;
  • Very strong network & understanding of the UK insurance ecosystem;
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions would be preferred;
  • Have a proven track record of new business sales and evidence of winning and developing new accounts; selling of $300K and above across a multiyear contract;
  • You are at ease with, building/qualifying/closing own sales pipelines and mobilizing internal resources to support ongoing customer opportunities;
  • You thrive working in a fast pace environment and demonstrate a competitive, positive, winning attitude;
  • Have a solid understanding of demand creation, and a keen ability of negotiation skills;
  • Can tailor communication to the customer’s needs with confidence, and can effectively deliver memorable presentations leveraging storytelling skills;
  • Are a strategic thinker to systematically solve problems and hypothesize possible pain points and implicit needs;
  • Are effective at networking and can identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals;
  • Can manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

What you'll do...

This individual can be located anywhere in the Midwest area

As part of our globally growing sales team, you will be a key player in helping us scale our business and rolling out Shift Technology solutions to new clients. Your role in the Shift adventure will be to grow the Health Insurance business in the United States.

The solution we provide is key to our customers that is why you will be managing C-level relationships within the country's Health insurance ecosystem.

  • Develop and implement strategic territory plan to ensure Shift exceeds its revenue objectives
  • Identifying new opportunities and the right customer stakeholders within Midwest Territory 
  • Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges;
  • Work on and submit proposals and contracts to customers.

What you bring...

  • Have at least 5 years of successful experience selling large, complex enterprise-grade SaaS solutions to Insurance Payers business units (Utilization Management, Provider Management, CFO, SIU)
  • Have a deep Health Plan knowledge
  • Have existing relationships within the Payer ecosystem
  • Drove SaaS selling of $500K and above across a multiyear contract
  • Worked with a partner ecosystem to deliver results and scale
  • Have an understanding of pipeline creation, and a keen ability of negotiation skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, including oral written, and non-verbal; you know how to make complex things feel simple;
  • Can tailor communication to the customer’s needs with confidence, and can effectively deliver memorable presentations leveraging storytelling skills;

Collaborate effectively with data scientists and other teams to improve client results over time

  • Drive effectively one or several internal topics to make the team progress by bringing business expertise in fraud and claims management

  • Have established relationships with Stakeholders in charge of Fraud and/or claims management solutions for Insurance Companies in Health and Life (santé / Prévoyance) and ideally in P&C (IARD)

YOUR ROLE

Customer Success Managers belong to the Commercial team at Shift and are absolutely key to the company’s future success as they engage our customers to drive adoption and demonstrate ongoing value. We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst with extensive knowledge of Insurance Solutions or Insurance Industry to join our team. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for performing data analysis, collaborating with data scientists, data modelers, data architects, and technical subject matter experts to enhance data collection and storage procedures, and preparing data quality analysis and reports.
  •  Develop the processes and procedures necessary to ensure top data quality.
    Evaluate changes to source systems and the impacts from the data and reporting landscape.
  • Work closely with technical subject matter experts to understand the source systems and assist in the analysis of data integration and data transformation.
  • Support teams with data requirements, source-to-target mappings, and other data-oriented deliverables.
  • Consult with data/business owners and teammates to identify all facets of a data issue to help generate a solution as well as understand the potential impacts to processes and systems across the organization. 
  • Work directly with business executives to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in discovery meetings, provide estimates, analyze and validate project requirements and technical specifications, perform impact analysis, and document key issues.
  • Troubleshoot job failures with developers, where necessary.
  • Support development and monitoring of data quality and data governance processes.
  • Identify operational gaps based on potential business usage (i.e. dashboard gaps that could lead to rework, or usage gaps).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3- 5+ years of experience in insurance with a focus on data and business analysis
  • Specific domain expertise in insurance areas such as SIU, Underwriting or Claims Operations.
  • Understanding of insurance KPIs and experience in their implementation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, business analysis tools, and data management techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple priorities, and be adaptive to change.

As a member of Shift Technology's Infrastructure team, your role as a Cloud Operations Team Leader:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team (2) of Cloud Operations specialists in US
  • Will be tasked with serving as the primary point of technical escalation contact

What We Are Looking For

  • Technical Abilities:
    • 5+ years experience with data structure and algorithms, handling big data with NoSQL Databases, queuing systems with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis... and other like Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Clickhouse at scale
    • 3+ years of previous experience using Kubernetes in production and at least 1 major cloud provider at scale (multi  regions, geo routing, low latency, sharding, high availability and scalability)
    • Ability to write and scale Infrastructure as Code;
    • You have architected, built, and operated distributed systems to solve problems at high scale
    • Understanding of security, logging, monitoring and performance aspects of cloud-native platform and application architectures;
    • Solid understanding of automation principles and programming experience using frameworks such as Python, C# and/or GoLang
  • Soft Skills:
    • You have 5 years experience in SRE/DevOps and Software Engineering
    • You are proactive and take pride and ownership of your work and able to distribute the workload across the SRE team;

YOUR ROLE

The Customer Success team engages with our customers to drive adoption of our products and demonstrate ongoing value. This critical function is responsible for onboarding new customers by engaging executive teams in the product  launch, driving ongoing adoption, and managing renewals.  You will work with the rest of the Shift organization to uncover new ways to make Shift integrated into the client and to help improve our product.   Applicants need to have a robust background in commercial insurance fraud investigations, including Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Commercial Property Insurance, as well as some experience investigating personal lines claim fraud.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive retention and growth of clients by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed
  • Enable successful roll-out of Shift technology to customers, including sharing and developing relevant creative assets, brainstorming ideas, and attending launches virtually or in-person
  • Collaborating closely with our product and product marketing teams and act as a SME for commercial line insurance. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing fraud detection scenarios and models that enhance our commercial lines product offerings and align with customer needs
  • Maintain a cadence of communicating with customers about their adoption trends, sentiment, and mining opportunities for deeper engagement
  • Identify opportunities for customers to act as Shift advocates (e.g. testimonials, case studies)
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Data Science, PM, Partners to support pilot customers, renewals, and expansion opportunities
  • Marshall resources across the Shift organization as needed to support customers’ needs
  • Identify opportunities within your client’s Fraud Detection and Claims management strategy that can be improved via incremental usage of Shift’s products and services;
  • Represent the voice of the customer to inform our sales process and product roadmap
  • Travel and meet with customers onsite to discover and understand their needs and help them develop an onboarding process and map an engagement plan;

 

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU

  • You bring deep industry knowledge of commercial lines insurance and can act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in this area
  • Have at least 5 years of successful experience working within the insurance industry within Special Investigations,  claims or underwriting (commercial and personal insurance).

  • Can tailor communication to the customer’s needs with confidence, and can effectively deliver memorable presentations leveraging storytelling skills;

YOUR ROLE

Customer Success team engages our customers to drive adoption and demonstrate ongoing value. This critical function is responsible for onboarding new customers by engaging executive teams in the launch, driving ongoing adoption, and managing renewals.  You will work with the rest of the Shift organization to uncover new ways to make Shift integrated into the client and to help improve our product.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive retention and growth of clients by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed
  • Enable successful roll-out of Shift technology to customers, including sharing and developing relevant creative assets, brainstorming ideas, and attending launches virtually or in-person
  • Maintain a cadence of communicating with customers about their adoption trends, sentiment, and mining opportunities for deeper engagement
  • Identify opportunities for customers to act as Shift advocates (e.g. testimonials, case studies)
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Data Science, PM, Partners to support pilot customers, renewals, and expansion opportunities
  • Marshall resources across the Shift organization as needed to support customers’ needs
  • Identify opportunities within your client’s Fraud Detection and Claims management strategy that can be improved via incremental usage of Shift’s products and services;
  • Represent the voice of the customer to inform our sales process and product roadmap
  • Travel and meet with customers onsite to discover and understand their needs and help them develop an onboarding process and map an engagement plan;

 

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU

  • Are a fluent business English speaker 
  • Have at least 5 years of successful experience working within the insurance industry within claims or underwriting. 
  • Have excellent communication skills; you know how to make complex things feel simple;
  • Can tailor communication to the customer’s needs with confidence, and can effectively deliver memorable presentations leveraging storytelling skills;
  • Can manage multiple accounts simultaneously;
  • Have a university degree in a business related field or equivalent experience.

 

This role can be fully remote or based hybrid in our office in Boston, MA.

The range listed is for base compensation.  Your actual base salary will vary based on factors including location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.

What you'll do...
 
As a Fullstack Engineer, your technical knowledge and autonomy will let you build complete designs for our applications and features.
 
You will contribute to a UI to collect and review information, to APIs that automates decision making and build to corresponding framework.
 
Performance, scalability and quality are key challenges to solve in order to deliver and review code. You are part of a team and collaborate with your teammates (software engineers, data scientists, QA, UX, product managers) to constantly receive and give feedback and improve the agile development process.
 
We work with modern technologies and always encourage our team to explore what’s new in the market. Our main tools are:
  • .Net, C# in the Backend, written with Rider (or Visual Studio + Resharper)
  • React/Redux/ES6/LESS in the Frontend, written with Visual Studio Code
  • Webpack
  • SQL Server and Elasticsearch in the data layer
  • A continuous delivery pipeline that uses Git, Nunit, Teamcity and Octopus Deploy
 
What you bring...
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development 
  • Solid C# skills 
  • Frontend experience - any JS framework (ideally React) 
  • You are atrue fullstack: frontend is part of your job, as much as backend!
  • Your projects are beautifully designed and cleanly written
