Job Description
- Communicate on behalf of the vice president regarding campaigns and celebrity involvement, as well as responding to inquiries (including taking calls, responding to e-mails, and editing and managing written correspondence) with discretion and independent judgment
- Organize and maintain the vice president’s projects and calendar
- Attend meetings with the vice president to take notes or dictation or to provide general assistance, when needed
- Follow up on projects initiated by the vice president and see them through to completion, including liaising with other PETA affiliates
- Perform and complete writing tasks (including draft letters, reports, and web text)
- Assist the vice president with completing in-house intranet forms
- Perform any other duties assigned by the vice president
Qualifications
- Can be based in Australia, the U.S. (Hawaii), or anywhere in Asia but Philippine citizen or resident based in the Philippines is preferred
- Excellent writing skills, especially in composing and editing letters
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional appearance
- Must be vegan
- Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
