The Instructional Designer will join our learning team on the Fire & Rescue Group and plays an essential role in our overall content creation and management. This position will serve as a proven expert in online education with experience in developing an online training curriculum to help build an extensive library for Fire and EMS personnel. This person should be a highly self-motivated and driven instructional designer who shares our vision for helping keep first responders safe. They will show great skill in creating, editing, and improving online course materials.

Ideal candidates are experienced in public safety education and have adult learning and instructional design foundations. The role will have various eLearning tools to author new content and ensure consistent content quality across a wide range of formats. Qualified applicants should have experience using multiple authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline and Rise.

How you’ll make an impact:

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create quality eLearning course material, including course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, slides, diagrams, interactive exercises, videos, and assessments.
  • Project manage the course development process through review and updates with project sponsors and SMEs.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to enhance and modify existing course designs and storyboards.
  • Design assessments and activities to enhance learner engagement and assess knowledge transfer.
  • Experience in developing content for or working with local government, first responders, or public safety (Fire and EMS) is a strong plus.
  • Video scriptwriting and production experience are a plus.

 

Qualifications:

  • Two to five years’ experience developing curriculum or eLearning courses
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, Public Safety, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in technology - using computers, web browsers, outlook, excel, and the ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Willingness to work additional hours outside of the established work hours when needed (i.e., for sales demos or at events/conferences)
  • Competency in Instructional Design Models (ADDIE, SAM)
  • Project Management Software (Monday.com or other tools)
  • Learning Management Systems
  • Course Authoring tools Rise and 360 (Advanced)

Per Scholas is seeking a Manager, Learning Outcome and Reporting, to become a member of our national Product Development team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and problem-solving individual with strong technical writing and data processing skills, and an ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment, and a strong sense of accountability. As a Manager of Learning Outcome and Reporting, you will support the Sr. Manager of  Learner Evaluation and Analytics in the gathering, processing, recordkeeping, and maintaining academic performance data used to perform lifecycle analysis of our training cohorts. The successful candidate will turn data into information and insight to support business decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create and maintain documents for record-keeping of learner academic performance data.
  • Develop and maintain grading and reporting schedules for each cohort.
  • Ensure that graded assessments are administered to learners in accordance with the curriculum and schedule for each training cohort.
  • Support Product Development Team by providing input on curriculum and its assessments.
  • Work in partnership with Technical Instruction, Site Director, and the Leadership Team to meet key outcome measures including certification, graduation, and retention.
  • Monitor that assessment administration guidelines regarding late submissions, retake, and tutoring are adequately followed. 
  • Make note of challenges presented during a cohort life cycle, including (but not limited to) issues with assessments, presentations, and assessment policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the data is accurate and presented in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with instructors to prepare adjusted class agendas and tutoring plans for underperforming learners (when needed). 
  • Assist in the development of grading rubrics (when requested).
  • Perform grade adjustments as needed while creating a record of such adjustments.  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:
Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with learning management systems such as Canvas.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, etc.
  • Experience with Powerpoint, Google Slides, or other data visualization software.
  • Proficiency with Java or Python programming. 
  • Working Knowledge of RDBMS & SQL.

The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) is responsible for the design of the full learning and development life cycle for allocated client projects. About the role

On a day to day basis you’ll:

Qualification and Experience

  • Must have a PhD or Masters in AI or related domains
  • 2+ years of Industry Experience in areas of software development, machine learning and data science or Academics experience

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Strong theoretical and practical background in machine learning and software development including understanding of deployment, MLOps, Interpretability
  • Interest in workforce development, upskilling technical and business professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contents (videos, slides, reading, programming notebooks, quizzes, assignments) for classes prepared by the academics team
  • Modify contents prepared by the academics team and prepare for class contents before classes
  • Deliver live online sessions and learning assessments prepared by Fusemachines with a commitment of 4 hours per week for 14-16 weeks

We're on the hunt for a talented Learning & Development Manager to join us during a particularly exciting time! This position can either be based at any of our UK offices in London, Brighton or Sheffield or be remote working.

  • Management of the Learning and Development budget and an ability to find efficiencies without compromising on the quality of learning
  • Building relationships with internal training companies to ensure that we are learning from the best
  • Stakeholder partnership working closely with MDs & HRBPs function in relation to Learning & Development needs and learning outcomes
  • Leading the team to deliver programmes of learning to support a range of learning interventions built around a great learner experience, including onboarding, mandatory, technical, behavioural and core leadership skills
  • Overall responsibility for the Apprenticeship Levy promotion and usage
  • Ensuring accurate records are in place for both professional and regulatory learning

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a similar environment incorporating design and delivery of remote based training
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders in order to best represent the value of L&D to the business
  • Coaches, educates and supports business leaders on L&D activities and projects that ensure the best commercial solutions are determined
  • Previous experience of designing and delivering Leadership Development to a global and dispersed set of employees
  • Technology or LMS/Moodle based learning industry experience would be highly desirable as would being a practitioner in psychometric tools such as Insights Discovery

Job Description

We are looking for a product manager to own the Etsy Ads Marketplace Dynamics squad. Etsy Ads is used by our smallest and largest sellers to grow their businesses, and it is one of our major revenue streams!

Our team is essentially running a marketplace within the Etsy marketplace, solving customer and business problems unique to the space such as dynamic buyer experiences, simplifying modern ad tech systems for sellers, and growing revenue in a customer-aligned way. With Etsy’s base of 7.5 million sellers, nearly 100 million buyers, and over 75 million items, the product is intellectually stimulating and provides the opportunity to work on an end-to-end product, from the customer experience down to machine learning and ad serving infrastructure.

Be responsible for making Etsy Ads a competitive advantage for Etsy by helping sellers advertise through machine learning. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product Management, Etsy Ads. We are considering remote candidates based in the United States of America for this position. About the Role

In this role you will:

  • Help lead product management for one of our most impactful teams and identify which advertising problems we should be solving next for sellers and buyers.
  • Set and complete a strategy with your cross-functional partners that will address customer problems in a way that meets business goals
  • Collaborate with Etsy Ads leadership on the long-term strategy

Lead work on significant problems such as:

  • Helping our sellers to achieve a high rate of return and sales velocity.
  • Continuing to scale a system that supports over 40 millions buyers and sellers.
  • Ranking millions of ads dynamically in a matter of milliseconds.

  • Experience leading teams to build products based on machine learning. Previous work on ad tech products, search, recommendations, or online marketplaces is a plus.

  • A track record of successful launches across zero-to-one products, mature products, and products with material business impact.
  • Confidence when participating in technical conversations; the ability to drive consensus and dedication, even when all parties don’t agree.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-driven company focused on creating equitable classrooms for students, and still be part of a school community! Curriculum Associates is seeking a temporary, per diem Professional Development Educational Consultant (Math) with a background in teaching mathematics, coaching teachers, delivering professional development and support, analyzing data, and working with school leaders. Working closely with the Senior Director of Professional Development, sales team, and other Curriculum Associates professionals, the Educational Consultant (Math) will be responsible for facilitating high-quality professional development, training, support, data analysis, and communicating consultatively with schoolteachers and leaders.  

Hours: Per diem consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis, paid hourly. We provide compensation for PD delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses. The schedule is highly dependent on customer demand – professional development is scheduled with partners during normal school hours. Our peak times of the year include August through October and then again January and February, although we deliver professional development throughout the school year.

Location:  South Carolina.Must have own transportation as this role requires considerable travel within the posted location. Travel territory will be dependent on business needs.  Additionally, a valid driver's license is required for this role.

Travel: Travel up to 50% is required and considered an essential function of the job for all educator-facing positions. Travel includes overnight stays at hotels and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation.

Compensation & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $35/hour-$65/hour, depending on the type of work you will be assigned to complete (e.g. “at-home” work versus “away from home” work, such as working directly with educators). Company-provided laptop. Ability to keep all travel points for flights and hotels booked for work-related travel. The impact you'll have: 

  • Become an expert on the company’s online diagnostic and instruction program and Common Core product, focusing on Mathematics 
  • Serve teachers in the classroom by coordinating on-site product training and professional development courses for teachers and school administrators. Adjust professional development workshops within specified parameters to fit the needs of the participants 
  • Help to ensure equity in the classroom by delivering professional development courses to teachers, coaches, and leaders on how to effectively implement Ready and i-Ready to impact classroom learning 
  • Meet teachers where they are and provide tailored on-site support to teachers, coaches, and leaders. This may range from providing lesson planning and pacing support, to helping educators analyze data and apply it to instruction, to working with leaders to identify evidence of implementation successes and challenges 
  • Engage in an internal cycle of professional improvement and development (including being observed, receiving feedback, and being coached) 
  • Track and submit detailed training notes, as well as complete all assignments in a timely manner
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects 

 What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of experience in teaching Mathematics, coaching teachers of Mathematics, and providing Mathematics professional developmentTo best serve our educators and students, we would love to see experience teaching mathematics at the secondary (6–12) level and/or with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics education 
  • Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for Grades K8 (or comparable state standards), including both the content standards and the practice standards. Understanding of the ELA Standards for K-8 also preferred 
  • Fluency with using digital tools including online assessments, and a high level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders 
  • Understand principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional development to ensure participants meet learning objectives 
  • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills  
  • Exceptional time management skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately. Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail 
  • Excellent computer and internet skills including knowledge of Office programs (Outlook, Word, PPT, etc.); knowledge of online meeting programs (e.g. Zoom/WebEx) a plus 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort
