The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Engineer Manager to join the engineering team. You’ll be leading a highly technical and motivated team of engineers, alongside our Engineering Senior Leadership team. The engineering team sits at the centre of everything we do at Plentific and is constantly tackling challenging problems, such as online payments, quoting, invoicing, booking, search / scoring algorithms, ETL, data pipelines, in-app messaging, real-time notifications and fraud prevention. Our mobile engineers mostly work with Flutter. The rest of the tech stack includes Python/Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, AWS, ES6, React.js, React Query, TypeScript, Express, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Celery, Pandas, Numpy, Scrapy, Git, Jenkins, Elasticsearch. We have a very large but clean code base as we put significant emphasis on design patterns, code readability, testability, maintainability and extendability.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

Provide strong leadership, including coaching, guidance, and support, to a diverse team of engineers across multiple disciplines.
Set clear goals and expectations for individual team members, aligning them with the company's objectives and key results (OKRs).

Senior Frontend Engineer

The “technology-enabled” part is where you come in. We’re seeking an experienced frontend engineer whose passion for development is rivaled only by a passion for meaningful mission-based work. You’ll have the responsibility to ensure that the emotional healthcare we provide is enabled by functional and reliable platforms for clinicians, clients, and internal staff. This work will improve the quality of our customer’s lives, and that’s work worth doing.

Responsibilities:

Build engaging experiences for clients, therapists and administrators
Work to improve user experience by collaborating on initiatives with our design team
Work with backend engineering to define APIs that will serve multiple products
Proactively ensure that security best-practices are implemented across our interfaces
Push the envelope of traditional healthcare software by embracing experimentation

What We Expect:

Ability to move fast and work through ambiguity
Ability to work across more than one product
Willingness to learn new technologies and processes that may be out of your comfort zone
Proactive and consistent improvement of the security of our systems
Clear and efficient technical writing to communicate complex ideas
Four or more years of software development experience
A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent) is preferred, but not required

This full-time position offers competitive pay and the opportunity for stock options. We are ideally looking for someone located near our office in Utah, but this job can also be performed remotely.
