    The Role

    We’re looking for an experienced Engineer Manager to join the engineering team. You’ll be leading a highly technical and motivated team of engineers, alongside our Engineering Senior Leadership team. Our mobile engineers mostly work with Flutter. The rest of the tech stack includes Python/Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, AWS, ES6, React.js, React Query, TypeScript, Express, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Celery, Pandas, Numpy, Scrapy, Git, Jenkins, Elasticsearch. We have a very large but clean code base as we put significant emphasis on design patterns, code readability, testability, maintainability and extendability.

      The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000CDNper year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.

      Job Title: Angular Developer

      Location: 100 % Remote (must be able to work in Mountain Time)

      Qualifications

      • B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or related field
      • 8+ years of software development experience delivering high performance, reliable and scalable applications with:
        • 6+ years of proficiency and hands-on development with following languages, tools, frameworks, libraries: Angular 8+, TypeScript, JavaScript and SASS/CSS, HTML
        • Strong experience with UI/UX, responsive design and mobile-first development
        • Leverage SQL skills working MySQL or other RDBMS and Web Services (REST and SOAP) knowledge
        • Good understanding of AWS services and integrations
        • Experience with unit testing tools like Karma or Jasmine
        • Experience with Git for source control activities
        • Critical thinking, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
        • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
      • Additional experience preferred:
        • Knowledge of commonly used java libraries (apache helpers, spring, hibernate)
        • Understanding of the maven build system and how multi jar projects fit together. 

      Important details for the Front-end Angular position: The ideal Java developer will be a strong front-end B-B cloud product developer with deep experience and understanding of BEST PRACTICES as it pertains to the solution approach (so they do not break anything). Primary roles should be experience developing SaaS based products in the cloud using AWS.

      NOTE: Ideal candidate is a Front-end Product Developer for AWS cloud B-B products. Developers with strong service oriented experience developing cloud based solutions will be considered over service based developers who have extensive experience on prem only.
