You will be responsible for everything frontend at SquadStack, from our customer-facing products to an instrumental component in building the frontend culture at SquadStack. We are looking for someone who can be the manager of one from the word go.

We believe that in early-stage startups, there are no Engineering teams. There are only Product Teams. What it means is that you are responsible for not only "how does it work technically," but also "should we make this?", "How well should we build this?", "Is this what the user/customer needs?". We like to focus on outcomes rather than output.

You will work in cross-functional teams. Strong products aren’t built in engineering silos. We truly believe in engineers collaborating within a cross-functional setup & contributing valuable inputs toward product outcomes.

If you are interested, Kevin from our Engineering Team wrote a blog that offers a comprehensive window into the coding culture and ethics at Squad: Squad takes the Joel Test.

      What you’ll be doing

      • Collaborate closely with the marketing, product & design teams
      • Transform complex designs and prototypes into beautiful products without sacrificing the vision of the design team or code quality
      • Build highly performant features for product teams
      • Build modern front-end web and mobile applications using ReactJS and React Native.
      • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
      • Be an active agent toward strengthening the technology team & culture

      What you should already have

      • 1-2 years of relevant experience
      • Traits & culture: Entrepreneurial & willing go the extra mile. Manager of one. You can read more about our values and culture here

      • Deep understanding of building modern front-end applications using React.
      • Deep understanding of DOM, Rendering, and how the browser works.
      • Experience in writing modular and reusable libraries that can be used across applications.
      • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
      • You are generally curious/interested in tech, motivated, creative/entrepreneurial, energetic, humble, and hard-working
      • Most important - willing to go that extra mile to get the work done.

      Bonus points

      • Prior experience working with React Native
      • Familiarity with typescript and building Javascript applications with type safety

      Logistics

      • Compensation: 12-20 LPA + ESOPs
      • Location: We are hiring for multiple locations in Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Goa, with a Hybrid setup where you will be spending at least 20% of your time in the office.
      • Joining Date: Tomorrow ;)

Why should you consider us seriously?

      • We believe that longer-term, people >> product & profits and prioritize culture over everything else. Check out our Glassdoor reviews.
      • We have an audacious vision of reimagining how work gets done! We’re one of the few applications of AI/ Machine Learning that actually has a massive market and business model to create a long-term valuable business rather than a short-term acquisition play!
      • We have plans to grow 10x in the next 1.5 years.
      • We are a well-balanced team of experienced entrepreneurs and are backed by top investors across India and Silicon Valley (Blume Ventures, Abstract Ventures, Emergent Ventures; Senior execs at Google, Square, Genpact & Flipkart; Co-founders of Infosys, Snapdeal, Slideshare, Zomato, etc)
      • Our platform empowers stay-at-home mothers and gray collared workers as a stable source of income across India. For us, this is truly impactful. Every day, we see success stories such as - how a single mother is sustaining herself. Empowering our contractors to be financially independent is a strong part of our vision!
      • Other benefits
        • Unlimited vacation policy means you are not entitled to a specific number of leaves per year. You can take time off from work according to what suits you the best. Needless to say, the system works on trust and we expect you to make fair decisions based on the team's needs.
