Job Description
This position requires a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to help secure Clients, such as nonprofits, social and community orgs, for the company. As a BDM, you will be expected to work company generated leads, generate your own leads, meet with prospects, build relationships with referral sources, assist in the creation of marketing videos, assist in the creation of marketing materials, and generally work to gain clients for the business.
You are expected to use our material and also create material for the Company. Ample training, resources, and direction will be given throughout in an ongoing basis to ensure the Business Development Manager is set up for success. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and know how to implement what they learn effectively.
Sales/Business Development Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service Existing and Company Generated Leads: Contact prospects through phone, text, video, and in person meetings with the goal of turning a prospect into a client.
- Generally, explain services to prospects, referral sources, and through marketing efforts with the goal of signing on new clients.
- Assist with Lead Generation: Social Media campaigns, networking, public presentations, warm, and cold calling.
- Conduct in person, phone, or video conference meetings with potential clients to discuss their member management software, provide an overview of our services, and review what their member management software should be able to achieve in engaging the market.
- Foster and maintain relationships in the member management community
- Availability to attend focused networking events. (online)
- Conduct online presentations for referrals.
- Regular internal communication with Management
- Help to Create Customer Loyalty Campaigns to improve the overall Retention of Clients.
Qualifications
Business Development Manager Qualifications and Skills:
- Over the Phone Sales Experience: This position requires that the Outside Salesperson be comfortable with discussing our services with potential clients over the phone with the emphasis on signing up for our member management software or for an online demo.
- In Person Meetings and Business Development Experience: This position will require daily interaction with potential clients or business partners. Strong interpersonal skills would be required with proven ability to close for the business.
- History of Proven Sales Performance.
- Experience in SaaS is preferred.
