WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
As Box’s Resiliency Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the resilience Box’s critical systems and data by facilitating effective disaster recovery strategies within a cloud environment. You will be responsible for adhering to strict certification requirements while maintaining high standards of business continuity practices in an technology heavy organization. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of applied experience in disaster recovery management in a public cloud-based environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with the business to facilitate compliance with Box’s Disaster Recovery Plan
- Collaborate with the business to develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans
- Conduct resiliency risk assessments to identify and treat risk related to Box’s DR posture
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, Engineering, and Compliance to ensure alignment with industry best practices
- Monitor system performance metrics related to availability, reliability, scalability, and recoverability
- Oversee the completion of periodic testing exercises to evaluate plan effectiveness, and partner with the business to drive continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to disaster recovery in the cloud
- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, external auditors, and customers regarding all matters pertaining to disaster recovery
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure that disaster recovery plans are integrated with other business continuity plans
WHO YOU ARE
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end disaster recovery initiatives at a technology-driven company
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts along with practical knowledge using cloud-based disaster recovery tools and services
- Hands-on experience operating under Compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRamp, ISO 22301)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Airtable and Tableau are a pluses but not mandatory for this role
