Beekeeper is currently seeking a Junior Procurement Manager. This role will report to our Head of Procurement. The role is part of the Legal & GRC team, as this function at Beekeeper covers legal, privacy, procurement and InfoSec matters.
This role will support the sourcing, procurement, contract assurance, implementation and post-contract management activities. This will involve working closely with business stakeholders to create and execute short and long-term procurement strategies that will best position Beekeeper to maximize value delivery and minimize risk through cost saving, revenue generation or improved procurement and contract operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Owner of contract management function which includes managing the document repository, contract administration (renewals, terminations, new agreements etc on JIRA/Docusign/Google Drive) and issue management (non-payment, non-performance etc), naming conventions etc
- Negotiating commercial aspects of contracts to obtain best price and service, escalating any complex discussions to the relevant stakeholder (Legal, Finance, etc.) and proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Supporting your manager in category management by implementing the agreed strategy, running tender/RFP processes, reporting, and identifying spend/vendor consolidation opportunities
- Implementing and running a vendor management process as designed in collaboration with your manager which will include building and maintaining vendor relationships while holding them accountable for the delivery of contractual commitments and supporting/coaching internal stakeholders in doing the same
- Undertake supply chain mapping in order to identify potential risks and weaknesses and work with internal stakeholders to minimise the impact of these on the organisation
- Ensure compliance with the procurement process by involving necessary departments for approvals (Privacy requirement, IT security, Internal approvals) whilst encouraging a commercially sensible approach
- Enhance the strong relationships and collaboration between the Legal and Procurement departments and other departments (including Sales, SalesOps, IT Engineering) whilst championing the procurement process
- General administration and ad hoc support for the wider teams, e.g. filing contracts, naming convention, version control, document signing, etc.
- Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day procurement questions internally and externally
What we look for in you
- 2+ years of experience in procurement
- Strong experience preparing and negotiating commercial terms, understanding of common legal terms in procurement contracts and working with Legal
- Solid experience in procurement and contract-related commercial and legal issues and the possible impact
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrates a can-do attitude in a rapidly changing environment and effectively copes with ambiguous scenarios
- Great attention to detail with a systematic and structured work style
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities
- Takes ownership of challenges and drives them to prompt resolution
- Upbeat and personable character who can bring people along on Beekeeper’s procurement journey
- Professional qualification or degree related to procurement e.g. Bachelor of Business, LLB, MCIPS
