Job Description
How do you know if you are working with a mid-level or senior software engineer? How would you advise the engineer to improve?
As a Talent Manager, you will work with our Talent Operations team to define and manage how we assess and help develop our potential and current technical talent. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with hands-on software development and engineering management while exemplifying a passion for mentoring and training other engineers with measurable frameworks.
What You Will Do
- Define and continuously optimize our technical assessment and scorecard strategy at scale.
- Develop frameworks for assessing technical talent seniority levels.
- Document specific training programs to show how talent can continue to grow their skills and careers.
- Drive talent engagement strategy with their project teams and other SalsaMobi talents.
- Design and implement programs for performance management, leadership development, talent assessment, and succession planning.
- Develop and implement an annual review process for salary assessment and contract renegotiation.
- Give relevant feedback and help promote more efficient and effective talent acquisition strategies
- Facilitate periodic check-ins with our clients to get performance feedback on our talent working with them.
- Mitigate all performance issues in a timely manner, and determine the best course of action when necessary.
- Suggest measures for improving talent retention.
- Assist in product management of our talent and client portal platform.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Two years of previous experience in hands-on software development
- Three years of experience as a software engineering manager
- Demonstrated experience with technical recruiting and engineering career development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational development skills.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Bilingual (English / Spanish fluency) is a plus
