Job Description
Responsible for the acquisition of new customers in an international and/or domestic capacity. Assigned to establish relationships with new customers and secure new business outside of our legacy customer base. Develop plans to drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales, and to prospect potential customers using various direct methods such as cold calling, face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking and market analysis. Develop processes for qualifying prospect customers against company criteria for ideal customers and sales, and work with technical staff and account managers to ensure a smooth transition from prospect customer to established/legacy customer. Develop and update order input forecast and plan in support of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 10-years military/defense experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical manufacturing and/or sales to the Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement and military market place.
- Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement market procurement process, regulations, and organization.
- Working knowledge of Word Processing and other presentation computer software programs sufficient to preform assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills in presenting to customers, demonstrating products and/or training customers in product knowledge and use.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven track record for successful business development/sales in defense, law enforcement or military sales.
- Thorough knowledge of ITAR, and the required due diligence for international business transactions.
- Proficient with MS Office
