Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, influential, and experienced Project Manager (Client Facing) who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Project Manager (Client Facing) will work closely with customer stakeholders, senior executives, management, and internal cross-functional teams to coordinate project management activities to ensure the integrity and success of projects by achieving steady measurable progress toward defined goals; efficiently executing project management practices; regular reporting; and monitoring and measurement of success metrics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the project plan to outline specific project tasks, milestone dates, and deliverables
- Define and manage project scope, budget, schedules, and timelines
- Prepare, distribute, and present progress reports
- Organize and lead project status and working meetings
- Manage changes, risks, actions, issues, and decisions and correct deviations from plan
- Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work
- Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
- Support Product Owners in managing customer expectations for project deliverables
- Manage stakeholder communications and help to implement an effective system of project governance
- Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team
- Identify resource needs for the project and source these resources
- Deliver the project accurately and in accordance with contract terms
- Maintain project documentation including documented project approvals, meeting minutes, etc.
- Plan for and monitor project expenditures to ensure they are in line with the budget
- Provide regular updates on financial status and progress including preparation of financial reports which detail spending, forecasting, and overall budget health
- Know and use all key customer resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid resolution of customer concerns
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Be mobile and travel to client locations as needed
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent business experience
- Experience managing enterprise projects
- High level of agility and ability manage change
- Ability to work proactively and constructively in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed team environment
- Communication skills; high level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
- Presentation skills; high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
Preferred qualifications
- PMP or similar certification
- Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches, like Kanban, and familiarity with traditional project management approaches
