WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
As a Strategic Account Manager (m/f/d), you will join a fast paced, growing division working to digitize the food industry. You will develop and lead all targeted initiatives for the Grocery market segment within France. You will be driving existing initiatives further and unlock new opportunities within this market, by leveraging our existing product portfolio. You will ensure a strategic collaboration with the customers as well as initiating development of future innovation opportunities. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams internally and externally on an international level.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop long-term customer partnerships either with existing accounts as well as generate new customers through acquisition in the target markets
- Own the full strategy and conversion of assigned accounts
- Be a mobilizer in assigned accounts to influence all levels of the customer organization, with particular focus on the C-suite
- Use data (public, customer, internal) to drive a targeted approach leveraging an insights based and value creation selling approach
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership and knowledge of customer objectives, platforms, and strategies and be able to provide innovative customer-focused sales opportunities
- Act as a business innovation lead for customers’ and prospects’ strategic digital initiatives such as food transparency and efficiency, digital consumer engagement, etc. Solution based strategic selling with strong technical knowledge of variable data management and SaaS solutions
- Provide exceptional customer experience for business partners and prospects to develop long-term business opportunities.
- Lead full ownership of cross functional teams and resources that drive incremental sales growth at key accounts
- Execute business plans, resolve issues and deliver solutions to meet customer needs and drive profitable growth
- Define performance measures and reporting requirements, working individually or in a larger project group, to evaluate effectiveness of programs and initiatives at assigned key accounts.
- Participate in a team selling environment as needed
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE TEAM:
Avery Dennison has a long history of being a market leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Successful sales and negotiating experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the food or grocery industry preferred
- Manufacturing, technology or software sales business experience preferred
- Ideally you already have some experience across the Food supply chain (Grocery, Quick Service Restaurants, HoReCa, Producers etc.) and a strong network within the industry.
- You have shown your ability to manage complex projects in the past considering not only the customer requirements but also internal partnerships (e.g. Customer Service, Warehousing, Finance etc.) to deliver a successful project
- You are a pragmatic problem solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels of assigned accounts
- You are able to develop working relationships and influence across all areas of the organization (including sales, market development, operations, finance, marketing)
- You are a self-starter with analytical understanding, highly motivated to grow your existing customer base further while also hunting for new opportunities.
- You speak fluently French and English
