Location: Oxford/Hybrid: 3 times per week office attendance for day shifts, late/evening shifts will be home based.

Working Hours: 37.5 per week, ability to work any 8hr shift Monday to Sunday, with home working for late shifts. We operate a 24hrs 7 days week environment; shifts assigned to you may require that you work over weekends and public holidays.

As the Customer Service Operations Manager, you are an integral part of the global Viator Operations Management team. You will report to the Director of Customer Services  and will have frequent and significant exposure to the management teams of Viator. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing and managing the department within the in-house call centre operations in the Oxford office centred on escalations, social media and complaint resolution. In addition, you will also help in supporting wider global operations.

The individual will have a strong analytical approach to work and proven track record of managing processes and teams with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Evaluate performance and ensure the teams utilise the service management metrics for the ongoing monitoring of performance for teams and individuals.
  • Direct and motivate direct reports and teams to achieve agreed targets. Ensure personal goals and objectives are set, communicated, measured and reviewed as per company policy.
  • Effectively manages performance of the team, addresses under performance in a swift manner and openly celebrates success. Conducts monthly 1:1's with formal review of performance.
  • Active development of the team, provides a considered structure for continuous development. Identifies individuals for appropriate succession planning.
  • Ensure that all coaching and development logs are accurate and timely.
  • Supervising staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate coaching and training of staff onsite.
  • Produce literature and manuals were appropriate to help improve performance.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement.

Operational Management

  • Determine daily plan to meet and exceed business performance targets by ensuring sufficient capacity available to meet incoming volumes and minimise backlogs.
  • Ensure that service issues are recorded and responded to within agreed service levels and timelines.
  • Assist with the design and testing of potential process changes and work with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementations.
  • Keep up to date with company, department and process knowledge.
  • Standardise processes, procedures and platforms for service delivery.
  • Auditing of processes to ensure currency and accuracy in line with department standards.
  • Monitor customer feedback and interactions to ensure we leverage customer insights to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively champion best practice to enhance agent productivity, CSAT, Quality, Issue Resolution and First Contact Resolution. Regularly help to review processes and develop improvements.
  • Champion Department Initiatives and show pro-activity in identifying where knowledge or process gaps exist to coach, educate and provide assistance as required.
  • Work closely with various functions like Quality, Training, WFM and Human Resources to strengthen the business relationship between the departments.
  • Partner with operations management and new product teams to successfully introduce new products and processes to our customer and global base.

 Customer Relations

  • Understanding key demand / complaint drivers.
  • Partner with the legal and PR teams to assess and strengthen process controls and regulatory adherence.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to minimise DSAT drivers and improve Customer Experience and Satisfaction..
  • High activities cases tracked, managed and analysed. Reduce the number of touches per case.
  • Ensure SLA’s on responding to complaints and escalations are hit.
  • Report risk events and ensure Corrective Action Plans are raised as necessary.
  • Monitor potential claims ensuring minimal financial impact to the business and provide financial reporting back to management on the cost of resolution.
  • Produce weekly / monthly and ad hoc reporting of the above to senior management level.
  • Investigate and report on poor supplier conduct, assist in driving initiatives to improve supplier behaviour.
  • Manage, respond and track forum reviews for Viator.
  • In addition - any other duties delegated ad-hoc.

What are we looking for?

  • At least five years of experience managing a Customer Support team across different cultures with managing US emplyess.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Supplier API you will be responsible for launching and leading go-to-market and product initiatives for our supplier products and programs. Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience managing a product marketing team

  • At least 2 years in B2B product marketing with technical products, including some experience in the affiliate marketing and/or  e-commerce distribution landscape

  • Proven success translating complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions and marketing messaging

    • Leads all post-launch communication including but not limited to aligning on KPIs/measures of success, troubleshooting tag or creative issues, delivery/analysis of campaign reporting, and gaining approval on optimizations to ensure full delivery and campaign success

  • Able to navigate independently from management - independent thinker driving key decisions for the deal across all touchpoints from quote to cash including upsell ideation and future program deal ideation 

  • Act as a product expert & SME (subject matter expert) across at least one topic across the Account Management team (example: Reporting, Programmatic, Social, etc.); Provides feedback on development and evolution of these topics - identifying and bubbling up any gaps in process, approach, or  strategy.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent in Spanish

  • 4+ years minimum professional experience in digital media at an agency/client/publisher prefer in an Account Manager or Sales role

  • Understands digital concepts and is up to date on emerging ad formats

  • Consistent and proven track record in successfully developing relationships and managing key accounts to drive revenue growth for partner accounts in a B2B environment

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a blend of skills of software engineering and operations. A person who truly believes and lives by DevOps principles and values. The roles includes working within the SRE team but interacting with all feature and platform teams to deliver state of the art solutions that ensures availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of our service and applications. What will you do

  • As part of the SRE team you will be participating in design and implementing parts of our engineering platform that enables scaling, metrics and observability, ensures and improves reliability.
  • Identify gaps in our engineering platform that improves availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response
  • Guide and mentor other people on the team and help them grow their skills and knowledge
  • Evangelise DevOps and SRE culture and lead the innovation across engineering feature teams
  • Become part of a PagerDuty based on-call rotation

Skills & Experience

  • Comfortable and happy to code in Python and Java. Experience writing commercial application code in Java.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Computer Engineering fundamentals and first principles
  • Deep understanding of scaling solutions both on infrastructure level ( caching layers, database replicas, sharding, partitioning, etc ) and architectural level (denormalisation, CQRS-ES, Federation, etc )
  • Experience building and working with and monitoring microservice architectures in large distributed cloud environments (ideally AWS).
  • Experience with Observability tooling – having proficiency using tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, APM, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, Overops, or similar
  • The ability to guide and mentor other members within the team and improve the way we collaborate, learn, and share ideas
  • Documentation and internal team members alignment; therefore strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Excellent collaboration skills to be able to work closely with product engineers and product owners to understand their context and co-design appropriate solutions which balance feature velocity with site reliability
  • Version control and CI/CD – Jenkins, git, bitbucket, GitLab, liquibase
  • Experience in using SQL / NoSQL data stores – RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Solr
  • Jira and Agile methodologies

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent GNU/Linux system administration skills
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry
  • Experience of managing Kubernetes cluster and containerisation
  • AWS and IaC – Terraform, CloudFormation, VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, puppet, docker

The Viator Engineering team is distributed across Europe and is responsible for viator.com, the Viator mobile apps and all their supporting infrastructure. We run the systems that help operators build their businesses and those which enable third parties to utilise our inventory. We provide the tools which help our customer services team provide world class service to travellers and operators internationally.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing team. You can work hybrid from the Oxford or London Tripadvisor office's.

Within Viator we have a fun and friendly environment where the key objective is getting things done. Working closely alongside product managers and designers, our engineers are part of the full process from software design, to code, to test, to deployment and back again. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days and we have a daily release cycle.

This is a Full-Stack role. Viator’s web stack includes Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL,Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, and runs on AWS. The Site Operations team at Tripadvisor maintains and enhances the core systems that power and support the Tripadvisor.com website. This includes systems in private data centers and over a hundred accounts in AWS. Our scope of responsibilities is vast, and listing them here would take an entire page. Suffice it to say that we are the go-to team for questions about the interface boundaries between these two halves of the company and the deep inner workings of our infrastructure.

 

As a Site Operations Engineer on the SiteOps team, you will be a force multiplier for our engineering and operations teams, delivering tooling & infrastructure that not only has a direct impact on day-to-day operations but also helps contribute to the future evolution of infrastructure and engineering here at Tripadvisor. You'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring our services' high availability, reliability, and scalability. We seek passionate engineers with experience in Python, Java, Ansible, PostgreSQL, CentOS, and Alma Linux to help us optimize and automate our infrastructure and deployment processes. We are currently involved in several types of systems migrations, within both the scope of on-prem to AWS/cloud-native migrations and on-prem data centers to alternate on-prem data center migrations. As a SiteOps Engineer, you will be involved in designing and implementing how we perform those migrations, testing them, and then performing them with a “no surprises in production” mindset.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring and logging systems to proactively detect and address potential issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in environments like on-prem Prometheus/Thanos, Grafana Cloud, and Grafana Cloud Loki.
  • Database Management: Manage hundreds of on-prem PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators, to improve the overall development and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues and participate in on-call rotations.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, focusing on building and maintaining scalable infrastructures.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Expertise in configuration management such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and experience in managing PostgreSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as load balancing and DNS.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $145,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
