Job Description
The HR Systems Manager will play a key role in all HR-related system and application integrations to ensure processes are efficient and consistent across the organization and configured in a way that supports the globalization of our business. They will support the HR function as the organization transforms HR into a more agile, scalable, and efficient organization as part of the HR Function of the Future initiative. This role will be engaged in process mapping and the design and management of end-to-end workflow across multiple teams, applications, and systems. This role will play a key role in providing recommendations for improved process efficiency.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of UKG’s onboarding, LMS and Benefits modules and modify the HRIS based on changing business needs;
- Continuous strategic evaluation of UKG to align with organizational goals and regulations;
- Set the direction and optimization of the HR technology portfolio by partnering with key stakeholders across multifunctions of the organization to shape how HR technology supports their priorities and meet business needs while creating scalable, standardized, automated solutions;
- Oversee the administration of the HR technology portfolio helping to continue to scale the organization globally through insights, self-service, and company-wide reporting and processes;
- Build and drive HR technology optimization roadmaps; develop requirements; coordinate with external consultants, and external and internal project management teams; build and test; implement and ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets;
- Lead the HR technology team in managing the day-to-day activities to support the HR, payroll, Learning and development, Recruiting and retention, and other interrelated functions;
- Establish an overall vendor strategy and lead vendor assessments in partnership with stakeholders;
- Partner with stakeholders to focus on developing and maintaining substantial analytics (ex. on Monday and Smart Recruiter) to help drive business decisions and create short and long-term goals and objectives for system builds, operations, processes, data flows, and security as it relates to Workforce processes;
- Establish and execute the overall strategy for people data. This includes data governance practices, tools, technology, and the team required to provide actionable information and insights to drive a rewarding employee experience, and business success;
- Manage and monitor role-based security protocols and permissions. Assign security to individuals based on their role with the company. Update security settings as needed to ensure employee data is secure;
- Drive change management activities to assist with employee adaptation of system tools; facilitate the development of formal and informal training to employees and functional end-users;
- Prepare systems when acquiring, merging, or divesting component companies including creating pay groups, organizational structure, earnings & deduction codes, tax setup, importing, or exporting of employee history, etc;
- Ensure the development & maintenance of all HR Systems and technology.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of systems technology experience with systems such as UKG, Monday, Smart Recruiter, ShotGrid (nice to have);
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Administration, HR or Computer science);
- Proven understanding of HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT business processes and how they impact HR systems;
- Advanced project management experience including implementation of Human Resource technology;
- Strong understanding of human capital and organizational change management principles, practices and procedures;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions;
- Critical thinking skills including logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow);
- Experience managing and training staff on multiple projects and providing direction to internal and external team members (ex. consultant);
- Exceptional relationship development and interpersonal skills;
- Oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint;
- High level of motivation and a self-starting attitude;
- Ability to think outside of the box, thrive on new challenges;
- Strong work ethic.
