EquipmentShare is searching for a Senior Manager of IT Operations for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. This position can be based remotely.
EquipmentShare is seeking a Senior Manager of IT Operationsto be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our organization's IT operations. As the Senior Manager of IT Operations, you will be crucial in steering the company's IT operational strategies towards excellence, reliability, and security. Your leadership will ensure that our IT operations not only meet but exceed the demands of our dynamic business environment. Reporting directly to you will be the Manager of IT Project Management, IT Logistics and Procurement Manager, IT Support Manager, and IT Transformation Manager, each responsible for key areas within the IT Operations domain. Your role will be instrumental in harmonizing these functions to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leadership and Oversight: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight across several critical IT functions, including project management, logistics and procurement, support services, and transformation initiatives. Ensure these areas operate cohesively to support the organization’s goals.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Craft and execute strategic plans to enhance IT operational efficiency, service delivery, and infrastructure reliability. Work closely with IT leaders to align IT operations strategy with the broader business objectives.
- Team Development and Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team of IT managers and specialists. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the IT operations team.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the IT operations team delivers exceptional service management, including incident, problem, change, and service level management. Drive initiatives that improve system uptime, data protection, and overall IT service delivery.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders. Negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and oversee vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Project Management Oversight: Oversee the IT Project Management function, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. Promote the use of best practices in project management and agile methodologies.
- Logistics and Procurement Strategy:Direct the IT Logistics and Procurement function, optimizing processes for acquiring technology resources and managing IT assets. Ensure strategies are in place for cost-effective procurement and efficient logistics operations.
- Support Services Leadership: Ensure the IT Support team provides high-quality technical support and customer service. Implement metrics to measure service performance and customer satisfaction.
- Transformation and Innovation: Guide the IT Transformation Manager in identifying and implementing innovative technologies and processes that enhance business operations and IT service delivery.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience in IT operations management, including leadership over multiple functional areas.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a demonstrated ability to align IT operations with business objectives.
- Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
- Superior problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Effective vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Experience in cloud computing technologies and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience managing service level agreements (SLAs).
- Proven track record in managing IT transformation projects and implementing innovative technology solutions.
- Experience with Google Workspace and JAMF, enhancing operational efficiency and device management capabilities.
- Certifications related to IT operations management, project management, IT service management (e.g., ITIL Foundation), or cloud technologies.
