Homeward aims to take the “what ifs” out of homebuying by creating financial products that buyers and sellers use to get certainty and convenience in the real estate market. We’re a fast-paced, remote-first, real estate start-up that partners with agents to offer innovative products and services, helping clients buy with cash, sell with certainty, and time their move — no matter the market. We offer bundled services across offers, Mortgage, and Title, making buying a home more seamless.
Founder and CEO Tim Heyl, a 10-year industry veteran and owner of one of the fastest-growing agent teams in the country, started Homeward in 2018. In fact, he bought our first customer’s home with his own life savings. Today we offer four services -- Buy with Cash, Buy Before You Sell, Sell Before You List, and Backed by Cash, in the 7 states we serve -- Texas, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington.

About the opportunity
Homeward is growing rapidly. We are moving quickly to activate new partners, experiment with different GTM channels, and expand our business. This requires stellar critical thinkers to design strategic initiatives and execute them. Our sales operations team is responsible for supporting our sales team to stand up, operate and enable these GTM channels to deliver our suite of financial products. The Business Operations Manager role will program manage projects with C-level visibility across our different GTM strategies.

In this role, you will
- Report to the Sr Director of Sales Operations
- Interact and work on projects that touch multiple Senior Leadership Team members, including the Chief Sales Officer and VP of Partner Sales
- Work hip to hip with our VP of Partner Sales to program manage partner launches
- Thought partner for sales leaders and partner in change management efforts
- Co-develop budget and job proposals alongside sales leaders (e.g. marketing travel budgets for field sales, new sales roles)
- Help standup sustainable meeting cadences and structure for sales teams as they evolve
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement streamlined processes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration among sales, finpro, finance, fulfillment, product/tech and other departments
- Work autonomously across quarterly strategic initiatives for Sales at Homeward
- Go deep inside Homeward’s product suite and become an expert
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience navigating ambiguity at a high growth startup in a Strategy / Ops function or management consulting
- Self-starter attitude and comfort working in ambiguous environments
- Ability to run a workstream independently and prioritize effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. product, marketing, engineering) to accomplish a goal
- Bias towards execution and effectiveness, keeping strategic goal as north star
- Experience driving forward work independently with some prioritization oversight
- Doer mentality and team player (no task is “beneath” you)
- Ability to get scrappy and dangerous with data to make informed decisions
- Working knowledge of utilizing CRMs as database, Looker / Salesforce experience is a plus
- Knowledge of real estate industry is a plus
Pay and benefits
- Compensation range: $125,000 - $140,000
- Remote-first environment (our Headquarters are in Austin, TX)
