Learning Experience Design Manager
Pathstream | [Learning Experience Design] | Remote
Role/Department Overview:
This is a project-based role (40 hrs a week, 6-9 months) with potential to transition to a permanent position. This is a full-time, exempt role and reports to the head of learning experience design.
We are seeking an education professional to design and craft engaging, learner-centered curriculum for online delivery through the Pathstream learning platform.

THE ROLE
- Course Design and Scoping:Transform visionary ideas into tangible course design by scoping projects and crafting execution plans.
- Interactive Curriculum Development: Design and author engaging, asynchronous curriculum that includes lessons, interactive activities, and assessments.
- Content Quality:Assess and refine course content to align with learning objectives, internal standards, and style guides.
- End-to-End Course Ownership: Manage the entire course creation lifecycle, from concept to completion, maintaining high standards of quality and innovation throughout.
- Learning Design Contribution: Contribute to the overall learning design approach for Pathstream, bringing your experience and creative solutions to the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage and nurture relationships with external partners, balancing their input with Pathstream's mission and strategic goals.
- Team Support and Leadership: Foster a collaborative and efficient environment within the learning experience design team, driving high-quality outcomes and team development.
- Creative and Technological Advancement: Leverage the latest in technological advancements and creative approaches to push the boundaries of traditional learning experiences.
- Content Development:Develop and curate a diverse range of learning artifacts, including synchronous session content and videos, to cater to various educational needs.
ABOUT YOU
- You’re passionate about career-focused education and/or economic mobility and using technology-based solutions in this space.
- You have several years of experience in the design, development, and writing of online courses, as well as expertise in video production and designing engaging synchronous learning experiences.
- You’re collaborative by nature, energized by cross-functional work, and possess management experience to guide and drive team efforts.
- You possess strong technical skills and a creative drive to explore and use new technologies, coupled with the practical expertise required to implement these innovations.
- You are an excellent communicator, especially in writing, and have the ability to express and break down complex topics clearly and easily. You have a strong command of the English language.
- You’re a fast learner—you pick up on new topics quickly and you’re excited and able to develop a functional understanding of new software platforms and translate technical content into layman’s terms with the support of subject matter experts.
- You’re highly detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills—whether it’s content organization or organizing your own workflow.
- You’re interested in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities.
- You understand that a job goes beyond a job description and are willing to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed.

- Zone 2: $111 +
